Run, run, run and don't look back, save your car and money!!!! I brought my car to this shop for repairs. I was originally quoted around $2,100, but when I came to pick up the vehicle, the final bill had increased by about $400. The total came to approximately $2,500. At drop-off, I was not given any documentation or receipt confirming the estimate, which made it difficult to hold them accountable when the price changed. I would strongly recommend that anyone who brings their car here request written documentation of the estimate in advance or record your conversation. After paying, I immediately noticed that my car was still not driving correctly. The repair did not resolve the issues I brought the car in for, and in some ways, the condition of the vehicle felt worse than before the service. When I asked about the price difference and reminded them of the original quote, the staff did not provide a clear explanation. The interaction made me uncomfortable, as I did not feel I was getting a transparent answer. This review is based on my firsthand experience as a paying customer. STAY FAR AWAY! This could be the worst auto repair experience I've ever gone through in my 20 plus years owning a car. Took them multiple weeks to try and attempt to diagnose an air suspension issue and even purchased and installed parts without my consent ($400 for a battery I didn't need.) Hance's European completely misdiagnosed the problem and told me the newly installed front struts I just purchased were leaking and needed to be replaced but the rears were fine. After patiently waiting for the replacement parts to be shipped and the service to be done I was finally called saying the car was fixed and ready for pick up. When I arrived there was a surprise note on the invoice stating that the rear struts were also leaking and needed to be replaced as well! Come to find out after a second opinion it was a bad air compressor the entire time and the struts were perfectly fine. What a giant waste of time, labor and money from my wallet. Obviously Hance's European repair shop is lacking in numerous areas including general mechanical repair knowledge and diagnostic skills but they do posses horrible customer service and communication skills. This business will overcharge and prey on its unsuspecting customers. Please AVOID this repair shop. read more

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. My Mercedes was past due for service and I couldn't get into the dealer for a month so I found this place online and it had great reviews. Initially great rapport. I submitted the online form for an appt request and got a very quick response back from Jay. I informed Jay I worked night shift and was trying to set up my appt for an off day. Jay was very helpful and accommodating and I got my appt scheduled. When I showed up in person for my appt (still in my scrubs and looking all disheveled because I just ended a 14 hour shift) the man at the front desk didn't have my information almost like my appt never got scheduled? Then he couldn't give me any sort of timeframe for when my car would be done. I dropped my car off at 9am and had a friend pick me up and we went to kill time thinking my car should be done by maybe noon or one, that did not happen. Bear in mind I've just gotten off work and have not slept, I received no phone call come 2pm and I'm exhausted and sleep deprived so I decided to call and ask for an update. The same man that was working the front desk when I got there answered the phone and lied to me. Still could not give me any sort of timeframe when I asked how much longer they thought it would be but said they had my car in the shop and were working on it right then. I decided to tell them to just stop if they hadn't done anything yet and I'd just pick it up since I'd now been awake for 24hrs and had an hour drive home. To which they responded ok no problem. When I got there to pick up my car it hadn't even been moved from the spot I backed it into. My seat wasn't touched or adjusted. No paper mat on the floor. When I walked in to get my keys the same front desk guy just handed it to me and waved bye. No apology or explanation or anything. Would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

I spoke with Alex who stated no appointment necessary but to please get there before 1. I arrived the next day before 1 PM, however, was informed they were booked. I have used them once, for an oil change on a Porsche Cayenne, my first post-service plan oil change. Found out Porsche dealer charges over $500 and no... jiffy lube type places will not touch it. I had called around and spoke to a few independent shops and Hance's was a bit more expensive. (I also asked if I could use first time customer coupon on it and they said "no" since it was an oil change.) Despite the above, I went to Hance's as he had explained why the oil change costs so much and they are careful to follow the rather time-intensive and complex manual procedure. Good work. On time. Since then, they helped me out when I got stuck trying to DIY change a busted tail light, as a courtesy, and seem like guys who take care of their customers. read more

Not happy with this first visit. Brought in RR as first time customer for oil change and shared the coolant light was showing. Owner at front desk said they would take care of oil change and top off all fluids. Oil change took better part of the day, which was expected. Did not honor/offer first time customer coupon on website upon checkout and was told I would have to bring the car back to reset any dashboard messages. Coolant light remained on intermittently. Two weeks later pulled into full service station and had to have coolant fully filled along with windshield wiper fluid. Clearly the fluids were not looked at or topped off as promised. When I called Hance's the man on the phone started to say 'I don't know what happened. Sometimes there are coolant leaks." Very flaccid response from Hance. It is obvious with multiple fluid needs that it was not within the consideration of work completed, which was said to have been done. Not even an offer to bring RR back in for a fluid check. Will reconsider this place when next service is needed. read more

Fixed dreaded red cog of death light on my 2002 330i, did a software upgrade on the transmission computer, changed out the tranny fluid and filter for a very reasonable price, and did it in a few hours. Services are reasonably priced, honest and trustworthy - there have been a couple times I needed something checked out, they took a look at it and found nothing wrong, didn't charge me for it which I really appreciate. Took my car to get inspected and the prices were out of the roof expensive, they charge $165 an hour which is insane, one inspection was $165, most likely under $80 at any other shop, the prices for my fixes were also out the roof, they added a good $1500 to what the prices actually cost. They said I now needed a fan on my SClass. I paid additional money and the fan lasted two days. Basically $2200 wasted. I took my SLK 300 to Jay for an oil change. I mentioned to him that I would need to have my husband come with me so he could take me to work after I dropped off my car. Jay said no need. Instead he had Uber take me to work on his dime. When it was time to leave work and the second Uber driver couldn't find me, Jay jumped in his car and picked me up himself. My boyfriend and I have used Hance's European a number of times now. Hance's has worked on our Porsche and Honda Crosstour. The quality and service we have received every time has been outstanding. We originally went there to get a second opinion for work on the Porsche and the price to do the work was going to be considerably less than the first place we tried. Jay, was honest with us and clearly explained what needed to be done, what did not need to be done and the exact process in which the repairs would be completed. I so appreciate that the few times we have been there, Jay recognizes us the minute we walk in the door or remembers me when I call.
