Love this store! Had an awesome experience today. Due to unforeseen circumstances We had to order and make a payment over the phone, they only take orders through the website BUT HEAVENLY was able to help walk us through step by step. We were able to walk in and grab what we paid for. Awesome customer service from the second we walked in. My son will be entering kindergarten in the fall and with this pandemic, it has been a battle trying to get him prepped for "big boy school". With the uncertainty of what's to come, Shirley has been an AMAZING contact person here at Dennis. I'm glad to see all the 5 star reviews this year. My experience last year, however, wasn't anything close to even a one star, but there are no negative stars. Last year my family and I had been publicly humiliated and disrespected by Shirly the manager. This year as my children returned to their private school, they ask that I don't go there to get them new uniforms. They'd like for me to get them uniforms If/When they need it. If at all possible, they'd like for me to avoid this store and they just deal with their faded and worn down uniforms just so Shirly doesn't make a spectacle when we go in there. My children were so traumatized after all the screaming and yelling Shirly had done in the store at me!! It got so bad that when I left the store, I had called corporate because I didn't know if Shirly's rage and rant had to do with her just not liking me (which I felt from the first time I walked into Dennis Uniforms) or if it was more of a mental instability issue and/or feeling overwhelmed with the customers in store. Seriously though, I'd NEVER in all my years of retail and customer service ever given, received or seen service (especially in Hawaii) given to a customer like she did with me. It was so bad that my husband who's the calmest guy in the world, HAD TO STEP IN AND SAY SOMETHING to Shirly!!! Upon reporting Shirly, the Corporate office tried to rectify the issue, but a simple apology from a humble heart always does the trick! A previous review was accidentally posted and erased (due to it being incomplete) by accidental touch of my screen. Now that another school year is over and this review should've been done as soon as it happened, I still wanted to post a review because I for one, did tell Shirly to look out for my review (as I was Serious when I said it). Second, this experience I'm sure stays with someone. Not just for me and my family who went through that awful, dreadful experience as customers, but for Shirly as well! For the past five years, I've been buying my girls' uniforms from Dennis Uniforms. Considering the volume of clothing in the store, it is very clean and neatly organized. Customer service is also exceptional and definitely a reflection of the store manager. Staff are friendly and always ask if I need any help. She has the greatest heart and you can tell immediately that she loves helping people and making sure they are satisfied. Not many customers were there when I stopped by after work. Only 2 workers, Shirley and Kyle (?). There were both helpful in creating shirts with logo in the size I needed. Shirley also paid attention to customers who were standing on the side while she rang up a sale and asked them if they needed help. She would also ask Kyle to help a certain customer if he wasn't busy with another. Even though I had to wait for my shirts, I'm glad they were able to make them instead of me placing an order and would have to return. read more

It was so busy, lots of last minute shoppers...it was so CRAZY kind but Shirly and Lani and the crew managed to keep the people calm. Got almost everything, except for the right size socks...sucks. Yup, first time ever, enjoyed my short visit there. So you don't get lost like I did. It's directly across from Liliha Bakery on Nimitz Hwy, mauka side or mountain side for the "visitors." It is our boys first year at the school so we were anxious in what we needed to purchase let along making sure we find the correct sizes. This is my 3rd time coming to Dennis Uniform and each time has been really a great experience. It's pretty overwhelming buying uniforms for my daughter's school and trying to find the right sizes, colors, and even how many sets and combinations she needed. Shirley and her staff has been amazing and so patient as I fumbled through this school year trying to figure it all out. My recent trip I needed to get her bigger uniforms since my daughter has grown so much recently that what she was wearing wouldn't make it until the end of the school year. During this whole Covid-19 social distancing era, everything is done online so it's difficult choosing the best fit for my child (even with the size chart recommendations). SHIRLEY IS THE BOMB! Staff were still amazing, friendly, and patient even though they must be inundated with orders to fill. Shirley still took the time, over the phone, to help me figure out the correct sizes for my kindergartener. Even with my daughter's measurements and Shirley's fantastic customer service, the bottoms were still too small and we needed a size up. Picking a size can be difficult without being able to try it on first. But with a pandemic, I am not complaining for not being able to try on before purchasing. But for that reason, I am not giving 5 full stars. However, the exchange process was easy to complete online, Just read and follow the step by step instructions and then print the return packing slip. Easy peasy! You can return by mail or curbside pick up. I had curbside pickup and appreciated the no contact service. The girl that met me at the car was friendly and the process was quick. Im talking just a few minutes for her to walk to my car, if that. I am very very pleased and happy to get our uniforms from them. read more

Let me start by saying i never write reviews. Never. But last night we went to the shop to purchase uniforms and we were shocked when we were told I'm sorry but we're closed. Whaaat? You're website said you have extended summer hours to 8pm. She said we have never closed that late but rather than putting up a fuss she let us in. Maybe it was our look of desperation. She was tired, her dog was sick, and she looked like she still had things to do. We ended up getting everything we needed. So if you're reading this and getting ideas don't bother. The shop does close at 8 pm PACIFIC STANDARD TIME in OREGON!!! Duh! I should've gotten her name but we want to say thank you to the woman who helped us last night. Once I opened the package, I noticed I made a mistake and ordered the wrong color and size. I called the store and spoke to James. THIS UNIFORM STORE IS AMAZING! They are quick, efficient and have such wonderful customer service. Their stores are currently closed due to COVID, but that has not stopped their speedy delivery of uniforms. COVID has not slowed them down at all! My child just started a new private school which uses Dennis Uniforms. They had an awesome sale on their online website. I ordered and within days got a partial shipment. I was surprised because I've gone through other uniform companies and their shipments took months to be delivered. Those other companies also did not accept returns. Dennis Uniforms accepts returns or if sizing is too small, will swap out for a bigger size. Me being me, I had questions so I emailed their customer service. I got a response quite quickly. And they have this wonderful store Manager Shirley. She called me and answered all my questions and helped calm me down from the steer nervousness about getting everything in time for the first day of school. Terrible (!!!). We were instructed to find the size we needed and to make sure it fit. We did exactly as so and they didn't have it in stock so it had to be ordered (totally fine, we get it.) 6 weeks go by and we receive the uniforms, ALL ARE DIFFERENT SIZES and none fit. We went to the store to exchange them and received not so great service. The first few people were fine but the lady who seemed to be possibly a manager just kept rolling her eyes when the person helping us would ask her a question. WE CAN SEE YOU! So rude. The explanation we received for the skirts being all different sizes is that they're all hand made by different people, so that's just how it is. But then if that's the case, shouldn't custom sizes just be taken down? Ridiculous! We order new sizes based off of what again is in the racks (no surprise, it doesn't match the number from the initial visit). And what does the guy have the audacity to say to us? "Hopefully they'll fit this time." Excuse me ? They better fit. She needs uniforms to attend school! Fast forward TWO MONTHS, and we're beyond the promised date. After countless attempts to reach the store, calls went unanswered. We had to call their corporate office to be assisted and have our order rushed. Such a shame other uniform stores closed down and this place is one of the last standing so we're forced to buy thru them. read more
