We also shared the chicken sujebi and it was pure comfort in a bowl. The hand-torn noodles were perfectly chewy and the broth was seasoned just right -- not too salty, just deeply savory. Heads up on parking: it's tough. I got lucky with street parking but it's only 1-hour limit, so keep an eye on the clock. The lot is valet only and looked chaotic when we pulled up, so budget extra time (and maybe cash) if you go that route. The abalone was my favorite: thick, tender pieces with abalone liver, roe, sesame, and all wrapped in seaweed. The flavors are complex and umami, but without being too heavy. The beef was richer and super satisfying with egg yolk, butter, and scallions, while the eel had a nice sweet-savory glaze and slight char. The rice itself was cooked really well, especially the crispy layer at the bottom. The spicy tofu and shishito pepper pot rice was actually the boldest of the four, with a generous amount of tofu in a familiar Korean chili sauce. Mixing in the egg yolk helped balance out the spice and richness. I just wish every pot rice came with seaweed for wrapping. The fried shrimp and eggplant fritter was a surprise favorite. It seemed to be a mix of shrimp, eggplant, and chives, with a crispy coating and a juicy, flavorful center. The tangy creamy sauce paired really well with it.
