Window tint has over 20 flecks of dust under it. Besides the terrible job they did the guy was a complete @#$ on the phone and when i got down there he was still an a$$ he told me i would have to "deal" with it and just live with it. I recently bought a crossover and wanted to get the windows tinted. I called on a Friday and was able to get in on the following Tuesday. Everyone was extremely friendly and happy to help. I did submit photos of the vehicle prior to my appointment, and when I got to Mars Larry had reviewed the photos and suggested that I only tint the front windows as the others had factory tint. They were friendly and more than happy to tint the windows that needed tinting to match the others. When I picked up my crossover I was beyond impressed! I wish I had more windows to tint because my car looked great! I was given care instructions for the windows and sent on my way to enjoy my freshly tinted windows. This is my 1st experience with MARS and they were amazing. We brought in a truck for a family member who is a heavy smoker and lives on a ranch. The truck was returned to us smoke free and looking brand new. I was impressed with their detailing and look forward to getting the outside buff and polished. Mars of Billings came very highly recommended to us. We made an appointment for a platinum detail. It took several weeks to get in to have the detail done and it was there for an 8 hour day. When we picked our truck up they were closed for the weekend and it was dark out. We looked it over in the day light we were shocked!!! There were French fries under the rear pass seat. The thick dust was still in the cracks and crannies of the entire truck. There were marks on the ceiling and the carpets were not shampooed. Thinking I must not have paid for the correct detail, I called Mars. I was told by Toby(?) that that was not the type of service they normally provide and he asked me to bring it back in for a complete redo of the detail and apologized. I took our truck back in a second time and to my disbelief got my truck back with 2 of the several things corrected and the rest still a complete mess. I emailed Toby with pictures and he could not believe it. He said he would call the owner and get back to me. It has been 5 weeks and I haven't heard word one. So, to make a long story short, I wouldn't let Mars touch my vehicles with a 10 foot pole. They do NOT stand behind their work. This shop is top notch. No messing around, they do what they say they'll do. No surprises. We agreed to have some XPEL warranty work done (original installer was less than stellar in idaho) and made a plan, but due to COVID it took a couple of months for my schedule to clear up. When I called to finally schedule my appointment, they got me in quick and had notes in the system to confirm the work I wanted done (which doesn't happen often these days). Their shop is vey clean and nice, the professionalism is obvious from the moment you walk in. When I was going to pick up my vehicle, I remembered that I asked them to remove an emblem in the very beginning but I forgot to confirm when we dropped our vehicle off. I was worried they had forgot. To my surprise, they remembered and had done everything we originally discussed. It's the small details that make or break an experience and they've got it down! Terrible job of "detailing" and terrible customer service. Paid $184.00 and the door map pockets were not cleaned at all, they had spilled food and dirt in them. The headliner was still dirty and the hand grips were grimy. I felt like all they did was spray armor all over everything to make it look shiny without removing the dirt first. I couldn't tell if the upholstery had been cleaned or not; they said it was but there were several stains I was able to remove myself after, so if it was cleaned it was a crummy job. They did offer to redo it but I did not want to have to wait until the following week before they could get me in again and figured if I didn't point every single thing out, it wouldn't get done right the second time either. I spoke to Jim who said he would have his boss Larry call me. Never heard back so I called again and spoke to Larry. He said he would put a $30.00 credit on my acct (Really?!) but I requested a partial refund as I went ahead and detailed it myself after getting it back from them. He said he would talk ti HIS boss and get back to me. He didn't so I called again and he said the same thing. I have yet to hear from anyone. Bottom line: if you want your vehicle to look shiny and smell pretty but aren't really concerned with it actually being clean......this is your place. I will never go there again or refer anyone there. read more

I had them apply XPEL clear paint protection film (they went above and beyond and used XPEL Stealth and XPEL Ultimate - these guys know their stuff!) as well as tint the front windows and I purchased and had them install a BedRug. If not interested in my story, there is a synopsis at the bottom! As you can tell from the 2 stars, I'm not entirely happy with my experience on MARS. I have a truck that I bought from a construction company, it was dirty. I cleaned it best as I could, vacuumed, wiped down with soap and water, but just couldn't get it as clean as a detail shop can. Having worked at a couple of dealerships that used MARS for one thing or another, seeing the results of the vehicles that my boss had them do for him, and I admire Devon's work ethic that he built his business from working out of his van to being pretty successful. I decided to take my truck there. I made a 8am appointment to get the interior detailed. I showed up at 7:45, showed the gentleman that checked me in that I was mainly concerned about the little dirt and crud in the texture of the dash, all of the crevices, and the dirt in the carpet. That was when I started having my first misgivings, he told me that they will do what they could, but it may take longer and be more expensive than the quoted price... so... they are trying to upsell me to get my vehicle clean? mind you I already cleaned this outfit. its cleanish. Its just dirt. No dog hair or lolly pops. with the right equipment its a 2 hour detail and it will glitter (as much as 10 year old plastic and cloth will glitter). I told him that I wasn't interested in paying above the $180 quoted price, he said they would see what they can do. I told him that if the interior of the truck is still wet, I wouldn't mind at all, I had some minor mechanical work to do on it, and it could dry just fine while I was doing my thing. He told me that was fine, and to give him a call at noon as it should be done then. At noon I gave him a call on his direct line, I didn't get through so I called MARS number, asked the chap on the line if my truck was ready, he told me that it wasn't going to be ready until 4:30 to 5:00! I told hi what the other guy told me about noon, and that I wasn't interested in waiting for it to dry. he said that they normally tell people 4:30-5:00. after I was off the phone and was stewing on it for a minute, I decided that if they hadn't started on my 8:00 am detail, I would pick up my truck. I called back and asked if they had started cleaning it yet (I am a courteous even toned person, so I am polite), he said that the guy had been working on it all morning "Trying to get all of that dirt out". After that call, the chap that originally checked me in called me, he told me that my vehicle would be done at 2:30-3:00. I wasn't terribly thrilled, but whatever. at 3:15 I got a call that said my vehicle would be done in half a hour. When I picked up my vehicle, they gushed over how filthy it was, and how much elbow grease their poor little chap had to put into it (my words lol), I figured if their detail guy did make it satisfactorily clean, I would tip him a $20. He probably didn't have anything to do with the garbage at the front desk that I'm completely unimpressed with. I am sorry to say, I did not tip him, in my opinion, tips are earned, not given. 90% of the texture in the dash was clean, the A pillars were cleaned halfways, the carpet was... cleaner than it had been... can actually see dirt streaks in it. say what? yeah, that's what I said! the tops of the seats were cleaned... how about the front of the cloth where your legs sit (or dangle depending on stature)? nope! Either it was a lazy guy doing a 2 hour detail, or it was a really good guy doing a 10 minute detail! He didn't get around the radio screen (not a big nav screen), or around the instrument cluster edges. going to have to go around it with q tips and glass cleaner. My bill was $184, so $4 more than quoted... no, 4 bucks aint diddly squat, but its not what I was quoted. In my opinion, there is good customer service and bad, I wasn't impressed. there is clean and dirty, I was not impressed. according to my calculator, if that poor sap really did spend all day on it (please don't lie to me!!!) their shop rate is $25.71 a hour... (If he started working on it at the 8am scheduled time, took hour lunch) That's cheap... which $51.42 is about what this 2 hour detail is worth in quality! Synopsis! 1: Scheduled for 8 am, told would be done around noon, was given some run around and it was done at 3:45 2: service writer tried upselling me as soon as I got there. 3: Wasn't satisfactorily detailed. My methods for the stars are as follows If I had to pick up my vehicle because they hadn't gotten to it by noon, they get a 1 star. (they said their guy had been working on it "all morning") If the vehicle wasn't satisfactorily cleaned, and their customer service continued to suck, that's 2 stars. (check them out! they earned 2!) If they did a good cleaning job, but I still had the lousy experience I was experiencing, that's 3 stars (and their detailer woulda earned a $20 tip!) 5 stars if they realized something wasn't right and tried to fix it. read more

Paid $180 for a detail. Inside & outside of counsel were filthy. Cup holders filthy. Outside of car looked like it was rinsed but that's it. Went to the car wash after. Rear view mirror was turned all the way up & full of detailing spray. Truly could of done this myself. Could of gone to the local hometown Ford dealership & has a much better job done. I will not be able to recommend MARS of Billings. SO DISAPPOINTED! Never again. read more
