Yep, verdict's in, I like this Denny's much more than the other nearby. It's off the freeway, it's newer in the past recent years & always get seated, served fast and the ladies that work there are so friendly and customer service oriented! I've never had a problem with anyone, but then again we only come through twice a month and only on the weekends. Although this location is a lot smaller than the others, its still by far one of good ones to go too, considering they have competition with Bob's Big Boy around the corner, they are just as excellent!! And for some reason their food tastes better than the ones I've been to in LA county, I love coming here! Parking is so a plenty (I love love love Calimesa!) that small town diner, except it's a Denny's and you get great service, quality food and central location for all, again being right off the freeway and you can be on your way back home or to the area your traveling through. I went here today with my friend looking to get the grand slam promotion (they don't do it). So we decided to pick something else. I got the sirloin and eggs, I asked for medium rare and my steak came out super BLOODY like they just slaughtered it in the back of the restaurant. I asked them to send it back and then I never received a new one so we decided to pay our check and leave and the manager did NOT want to take it off my check. She tried to make me take one to go and I told her I didn't even want it anymore. She ended up taking it off the check but it was just so rude. Service sucked. No refills no attention from our server, nothing. Crowded and drowning. This place needs help. Only TWO servers on the floor. How sad this experience was lol will NOT be returning. 0/10 read more

If I could give a zero star, that would be it. We ordered the Mac with brisket and a salad also a lasagna. Besides the food coming out separately, the mac & cheese was horrific. There was barely any cheese and Mac and the brisket was burnt so badly you couldn't tell what type of piece of meat it was. When we said we wanted to leave, we were charged for our drinks and the salad which looks nothing like the picture by the way. The least they could've done was comp the two drinks in the salad. I will never go back to a Denny's again. And this place probably save me food poisoning by looking at their food. Run. read more

The service staff were incredibly rude. I have a service dog that I need for my invisible, yet chronic, disabilities and the front of house staff rolled her eyes at my service dog. My husband and I had lunch at Denny's this afternoon. We were the only ones in there. It was empty. Before we left I ordered a chicken salad to take home for dinner. The waiter asked me if I wanted grilled or chicken fingers and I said I DEFINITELY wanted grilled chicken as I'm on a diet. I brought the salad home for dinner and when I opened up the box it was greasy chicken fingers soaked in batter and oil! When I specifically told the waiter grilled chicken. It was disgusting! I threw the whole entire thing out, I couldn't eat it! I called Denny's to tell them they gave me the wrong order and the manager was extremely rude to me, her name was LETTY! There was absolutely no apologies for giving me the wrong order, and she said "what do you want me to do about it?" I was floored!!! She then proceeded to tell me I was screaming at her and I kept interrupting her... In which I never once raised my voice. And... I never interrupted her once! I told her she was very rude and she didn't even seem to care that I got the wrong order, and I told her I was going to report her to her manager and she said, "go ahead, I don't care!" I'm calling Denny's corporate to report her! She has no business being in a management position as she has extremely rude and has very poor customer service! Nowadays, everybody should be bending over backwards for their customers! She did not give a hoot whether we were happy or satisfied. Im so disappointed with Dennys. Had breakfast here today. The staff was nice enough, The Pancakes were so thick, like eating spounge. The sour dough toast must have been reheated in the microwave. Cheap nasty bread. It was so hard I could bang it on the plate. The bacon is thin and greasy and flavorless. The Ham was waxy and tough. The eggs had to come from a carton. The hash browns were cold and tasted like old grill and rancid oil. This is hands down the worst breakfast I've ever had anywhere. Dennys breakfast is pretty cheap and gross anyway, but for $70.00 for 3 of us to have breakfast, I could not be more let down. I don't think I will ever eat at another Dennys. Yes, I gave Denny's 5 stars. Don't confuse it to mean it's a five star restaurant. But compared to other Denny's it's deserving of five stars. I came in at about 1:45 am because of a Hotel.com screw up I had a couple of hours to kill and was hungry. Even in a small town like this you can count on Denny's to be open. I don't know why they even have doors, they never close. I had great, attentive service from Jonathan. I ordered a Sriracha Burger and it was excellent. Then they let me sit in the booth for a little while and use the free wi-fi they have so I could write a bad review for the hotel down the street. So 5 stars for accommodating a weary traveler who thought if you made a reservation at a hotel for a specific day and you paid online you could arrive late at night. Wow, Denny's was off their mark today. We arrived for a Sunday brunch, just the two of us. We didn't mind waiting 10 mins to be seated as the place wasn't overly crowded-just busy. We waited at least 10 more minutes after being seated to give our drink order. Okkkkk. Ten-fifteen minutes later our waiter showed up and we gave our simple orders. The food wasn't long in coming BUT it wasn't hot. Quite room temperature, actually . That's not good for pancakes and my own order. I'll say some things that are positive: the coffee was piping hot, the salad was crispy and cold and the waiter was congenial. My friend and I came here for some breakfast and everything was fine while we were eating but after a couple of minutes our waitress left us the check and she disappeared. When we were done eating they took all our plates just like any other restaurant would but, what really bothered me was that instead of offering us more to drink they took our cups making us feel pressured to leave the whole time. Someone that works at this restaurant stole my cousin's car keys. She said the keys went missing after she came out of the restroom. We waited in parking lot for 20min the manager said that no one went in to the bathroom after my cousin came out, when she watched the security footage. The owner/manager is extremely rude to customers and a tyrant to employees. We have dined at this location for years and have established a friendship with food servers there who have related the mistreatment of themselves and customer who have subsequently have not come back; as we now will not return. Friendly staff but they seem to have been short staffed on both occasions I came here My order was wrong one time, but being I was in a great mood, I decided to let it go. The food is very good overall! 100 times better than other Denny's I've been to (particularly the San Bernardino one) which is why I come here really. I was disappointed to find out that not only they not offer Military Discount (which is fine, really), but they do NOT carry gift cards.. yet they promote them. That's not really a good call for this place to make, as false advertising is pretty bad. This is one of the reasons I had to take away a star rating here. Overall the food is great, the environment is great and the staff is very friendly and accommodating regardless of the fact that they are but a few. First day open for dine in. The lady up front or manager didn't look happy about having to seat people again and was pretty rude. This is the best Denny's we've ever eaten in! Clean, good friendly service, good food. Smaller than most Denny's, but over the top for a great experience. Server Alex is awesome! 5 stars is probably over the top for a Denny's, but I wanted to try to drag up the average, because this place is way better than 3.5 stars! Give it a try.
