Coco's is an old-school favorite that still delivers that quick, classic service just like back in the 80s. The steak was seasoned to perfection and cooked rare--exactly the way I love it. Honestly, I was surprised at just how perfect it was--not what I would've expected, but definitely impressive! Our waitress was attentive and on point, keeping our iced tea and water refilled without us having to ask. She checked in on us several times, making sure we had everything we needed. Great service all around and great vibe with nostalgia photos of the area.

Run down. Dead fly and bug casings in window sill. Weird, gross thing on ceiling. Mediocre food.

I was excited try Coco's again when I saw a sign on the door announcing new ownership. The food quality and service had gotten so bad that I thought things would definitely improve. Based on my experience today, it's actually worse. I arrived by myself at 11:15am and there were 3 parties on the Waitlist even though there were several open tables and they were only seating one third of the restaurant. It took 20 minutes to get seated, and another 10 minutes before my server took my order. As I waited for my food, I noticed there were only 2 servers with one of them (my server) greeting and seating guests and taking payments in addition to covering half of the tables. When my server brought my Cinnamon Roll French Toast combo, the French Toast was obviously burnt. But, she never came back to check on me so I ate what I could and left. This location has always operated understaffed but they at least had a cashier or manager to take names and payments. Today was another unacceptable experience and another example why Coco's has closed so many locations.

When I met someone here for lunch, I described it as: easy access to parking, ample parking, basic and straightforward American cuisine plus they have air conditioning. Coco's met all these expectations. The service was quick and attentive. As you can see from my pic of the Chicken Cobb Salad, it's about as basic and straightforward as you can get. There is certainly nothing wrong with that. The ingredients were fresh and simple. There was enough that I didn't leave hungry, either. This is a place that I believe will have something for just about everybody. BTW, every holiday season my employer gets their pies for every employee from here - which we all look forward to.

We seated ourselves at our favorite raised table in the corner on the far side of the bar. My husband and I stuck to traditional cocktails, and old fashioned and a Negroni. Our friends chose signature cocktails: the Turbo Granny and the Electric Feel. Now the Electric Feel was not just a drink, it was an experience. Our server explained to our friend that he should sip a little of the drink, then chew the Szechuan buzz bud for about 15 seconds, letting it coat his whole tongue, then enjoy the rest of the drink which would taste different afterwards. Our friend went through all those steps and said it was incredible, like all the flavors were enhanced along with different sensations in his mouth, kind of numb and tingly. His wife was not satisfied with his description of the experience, so she bought a Szechuan buzz bud for $2 and she said it was kind of like pop rocks. These buzz bud looks just like a little flower bud like the end of a dandelion once the seeds are blown away. It comes from a plant. Totally fascinating! We enjoyed our one cocktail each here and just had great conversation. It was a fun night because of the company, and also because we had a little adventure going to two amazing places!

We decided on weekend brunch, especially since there were endless mimosas. Our kids have a recollection of being down the class umbrella alleyway, so they were amazed when they saw it. A short while later, we were in front of the restaurant and were quickly seated by the staff. They didn't ask if we preferred outdoor or indoor seating, but we were seated inside right next to the kitchen. We heard that indoor seating was better for service anyway. The interior of the restaurant was "very fancy," and my daughter thought we were in a date spot. We knew we wanted French fries and opted for the garlic Parmesan fries. At first, the kids were weirded out by the arugula, but my daughter ended up enjoying it, noting the bitter and salty notes. My son devoured the entire plate (not the arugula) and asked for another round. We also ordered the lemon ricotta French toast, made from Brioche bread, lemon blackberry butter, whipped lemon ricotta cream, blackberries, mint, and maple syrup. They perfected the crispy exterior, which contrasted well with the fluffy bread. My wife ordered the breakfast pizza--a focaccia pizza topped with marinara, ham, spinach, fresh tomato, red onion, a sunny-side-up egg, and herb-infused maple syrup. This was really delicious with the tart, fresh tomatoes, the salty ham, and the sweet maple syrup. I ended up eating the sunny-side egg by itself, so we didn't get to try the pizza with the egg. Lastly, I ordered the steak and eggs, but it was sadly a small portion. I ordered it medium rare, and it came out medium. The seasoning was a bit strange and would have been better with simple salt, pepper, and garlic. The mimomas really made my wife happy. She started feeling it pretty quickly. She chose the pineapple juice while I got the traditional orange. Not sure if the alcohol made the food better or the other way around. I was brought to reality when I saw the expensive bill, though.

It's very clean- even the restroom. I love the orange strawberry scones!!! Absolutely perfect. Also the coffee is solid and you can get for here cups. They have yummy kombuchas, lattes, fun sodies, and juice. Also have alcoholic beverages if that's your jam. The burritos on the weekends are awesome and the price is great. Overall, there's so many choices here and it's a fun place to go. There's inside and outside seating and it's just a fun place to come. Can't wait to continue to try more and more here.

How have I lived in Redlands this long and somehow missed Olive Avenue Market?? Truly baffling…read more This place is tucked into a quiet South Redlands neighborhood, surrounded by old Victorian homes and lush lawns, and it feels like a tiny European corner café just... existing quietly and beautifully. Inside is all reclaimed wood and cozy tables, people working on laptops, the coolest Redlands City Limits sign, kids flipping through board games and books in the corner, soft chatter, good energy. Pro tip: get in line as soon as you get there because it fills up fast and the line can absolutely go out the door. I had the chai latte (so good), a cheese danish (dangerous), and an Everlasting Ferments kombucha...the Habanero Ginger is a sleeper hit. You can also snag breakfast burritos if you're lucky (they sell out), or freshly made stuffed waffles from a vendor outside, which somehow makes the whole experience feel extra charming. There are cute little café tables all around and a tucked-away, walled patio in the back that's perfect for bigger groups. Already planning future coffee dates. Late to the party, but fully committed now!
