How can you screw up breakfast? Over easy eggs were over hard. Hash browns were burned!

I went with a cappuccino and a couple of pastries. I got one with peach which is the local specialty (this community grows a LOT of peaches). I have nothing but good things to say about this place and wish that I could've stayed to dine in. As it was, I was grabbing something for the road. I would definitely come back again if we make it back to this area.

The staff was very kind, friendly, and quick. I did not open the box and look at it before we left the bakery, I wanted to be surprised. They have good reviews so I just trusted It was going to look like a professional bakery cake and taste delicious. How disappointed and embarrassed I was when my son brought out the cake and it looked like one of my kids made it. It was very dense, I couldn't get through it with a cake knife. To top it all off, two of my guests pulled Small pieces slivers of parchment paper out of their mouth. Slice O Life bakery may have good breads and baked goods but cakes I would say is not their specialty.

The bar area was bustling along with the tables filled with all kinds of good looking dishes enjoyed by families and friends. But she can bring her dog into a resturant/bar?. They will not let you have more than 4 people at a bar table? Did not use to be an issue. They have run off amazing bartenders and servers. I may be burning bridges but think I speak for a lot of people. My last straw was when Mia was complaining to the owner about the "SPIC" cop who gave her a ticket, even though she was blaring" SPIC "music from her radio. John was laughing (the owner). As a local of Hispanic origin (100% American born and educated "who 100% percent supported this organization for the last 5 years, I am sad. Feel sorry for the bartenders and server trying to keep this place a float. Took a thriving buisness which is now a couple months away from closing due to what? The owner letting his girlfriend make rules. I have 10 years in bar and restaurant management. You mess with ocalss you lose your buisness! Not sorry.

The inside smelled like rotten fish and was very dark. We opted to sit on the patio and the smell was wafting out, which did not make us very hungry. We ordered the breakfast burrito and they were nice enough to split it for the two of us. The hash browns were nice and crispy like I like. The green chili was good and they substituted bacon for sausage for us. For the second half, we ordered the chicken wings - hot buffalo. They were crispy, saucy meaty, and hot and spicy. The sauce coated the wings with the right consistency, not too runny and good cayenne spice. I ate them quickly so I forgot to take a picture. I was hesitant to order them at market price but i was happy with them for $16.99 for 10. Bathrooms were fine. Lots of friendly folks making conversations. Street parking was easy around the corner.

If you're over in the Palisade area, this is definitely worth a stop…read more I've made the drive to Palisade for Fidel's Cocina & Bar a couple times now, and honestly... it has not disappointed The chips & guac are some of the best around, and the DIP TRIO is a great starter -- black bean hummus, toasted pepita dip, guacamole, and house tortilla chips. Of course I had to add salsa, because... obviously Patti went with the Huevos Rancheros and really liked it Tyler tried the Chile Relleno and said it was the best one he's had in forever -- bold statement, but he's sticking to it. I've had the Chile Relleno too, and I get it. Fresh poblano, Oaxacan cheese, refried black beans, sour cream, pickled onion, cilantro, cotija... just yummy. I also tried the Oaxacan taco and carne asada taco, and both were absolutely on point -- juicy, flavor-packed, and straight-up And yes, Dad's jalapeño sauces are a must. The green and red both add that perfect little kick And a big win--they've got a great selection of gluten-free options (clearly marked), so it's easy to navigate if that matters to you And since it's a Mexican restaurant, I had to partake in a margarita I went with the Pinky -- Dulce Vida Grapefruit Tequila, Naranja, fresh lime juice, and fresh grapefruit juice. Very tasty. Big shoutout to Sasha at the bar super knowledgeable, great vibes, and clearly a fellow GJ foodie with great recommendations. Service has been great all around both times. Solid food, great date night spot, and worth the drive. Just my opinion... don't come at me
