Stopped here while on a long road trip. The place is quite rustic and has that older world charm - hunting trophies on the wall, couple of old rifles, etc. You get a great feed - and the ingredients in the omelettes were nice and fresh. Wait staff very nice and friendly and came back often to check everything was ok. Bottomless coffee is nice also! Thank you!

Awesome recommendations from our server. One of the best breakfasts we've had in a long time. Our food came fast and our server was wonderful and pleasant. We'll definitely return on our next trip to Colorado.

This is the drive in from Utah to Colorado and finally at Starvin Arvin's for brunch, I was so impressed with this eatery.

The Bean and I had a business brunch here for 408Works and 6ixes. I had a massive plate of biscuits and gravy that was delish!!! The service here was top notch too as the hostess was super accommodating with my gimp leg and crutches and sat with a private table by the kitchen. The restaurant has that you're eating at your Moms house and the food is prepared with love and affection. All kinds of art work and designed as the country boys and girls place to park and talk and enjoy the ambience.

Great breakfast and lunch too place in western Colorado. This location opened in 2002. Their first restaurant opened on Redlands Mesa (south of Grand Junction) in 1983. They greet everyone and the staff has been here for years. They get a large number of locals. I came after the morning rush for people wanting to get on the hwy asap. The after church rush is coming. It's a homey atmosphere with stuffed wild animals, wood pillars and wood beams, panels and chairs throughout. They have a large breakfast menu including omelets, pancakes/waffles anx lots of meat choice. Coffee is included in the prices with infinite refills. I got the Spicy Hog omelet with ham, sausage, 3 eggs and was over stuffed with jalapeno peppers. I added a local hot sauce, Pear Blossom Farms: Dad's Peach Jalapeno Sauce made nearby in Palisade,CO to my omelet. I got a good amount of hash browns where I added more hot sauce. I ordered a cinnamon roll in lieu of toast but had to wait for it to arrive. They have a high demand for the treat. When it arrived, it was a plate filling serving. Plenty of cinnamon throughout and lightly glazed. Of course, I ate the whole thing, with more coffee. I forgot to mention that my server at the bar was Jocelyn C. She was very friendly and attentive. They do not share tips. The owner of this location, Blake had friendly banter with everyone including me.

Supreme Hobo Breakfast. All of my favorite things together. It was delicious!

We had visited location in Montrose, CO a few years ago. When our vacation took us to Grand Junction we tried the Clifton, CO location. It did not disappoint. Staff was super friendly and attentive. We were riding motorcycles and they had very good local info. Service was quick. The breakfast was great. All cooked just right. I am a big fan of their green chili. I think it pairs perfectly with eggs. I highly recommend. The unexpected treat is the jelly with the toast. Not a little plastic tray of factory sealed stuff. I don't know if it is home made, but it sure tasted like it. We had the peach and raspberry and both were delicious. I highly recommend Starvin' Arvin's and will be back for sure.

Hot beef sandwich, it was not bad, fries were crispy and gravy wasn't too salty.

Stopped in Clifton for gas on my way to Utah. Found Starvin' Arvin's nearby so gave it a try. Although the outside of the restaurant said something about steak, there were no real steaks on the menu, only burgers. I ended up ordering a hot beef sandwich which is kind of an old school diner food that I have not had for ages. The side salad was very decent in size although the romaine kind of wilted a little. The sliced beef was okay, average diner quality, the fries were crispy and I like to put gravy on my fries which in this case was not too salty which was good. Food was average, but service was fast and friendly.

French toast special with bacon, hash browns and eggs

This is a solid choice in Grand Junction! My party all enjoyed what they got. I had the French toast special and it was a good value. All good food. The cinnamon roll is giant but to be honest I didn't think it tasted much like a cinnamon roll. Just kind of like bread- wouldn't get it again. I've also had a fried chicken salad here which was quite good also. All in all good restaurant.

Had a phenomenal experience at Fidel's last night!!…read more The weather was perfect for the patio seating in the heart of downtown Palisade. Still love my little home town! The food was delicious as always. My suggestion is to try multiple different taco's because they are all very good. My favorites are the Oaxacan, fish and quesabirria. For appetizers you can't go wrong with the guac and elote. Now for the 2 things that motivated me to write the review. The cocktails were exceptional!! The fresh peach margarita is a must when in season. Last but not least the service was the best I have experienced in a looong time! Our waitress was attentive, engaging and friendly. She really made it all come together. I wish I remembered her name to give her credit.

We stopped by Fidels after a long day. We did make a reservation for 7:15, which I recommend,…read morebecause they were decently busy on a Saturday night. They do have outdoor seating as well as indoor seating. Vibe is that of a typical, nicely and modernly decorated Mexican restaurant. Interestingly, they do serve shots on a wood platter (similar to that of a cortado with sparkling water palette cleanser), and half shots as well that seemed popular to the locals. The man that told us to visit here actually told of us this, and we saw it in action. We had to tap out after a day of wine tasting. Our party of 4 ordered the Oaxacan, Carne Asada, Bomb Ass Fish Taco, and Pork Carnitas. I would rank them in that order too from best to least best (none were bad, but the pork carnita felt a little dry as the overall consensus of the table). The Poblano fries were amazing. They tasted truly fresh and right off the fryer. It comes with 5. Loved the aioli and salsa too. Lastly, they had a house made pineapple habanero hot sauce that was AMAZING! Service was kind, attentive, and no complaints.
