The service was pretty good but a lot of the food didn't taste good to us. The steak seemed to be a little overcooked and the hash browns didn't have flavor. We lived in grand junction for a short while and when I say I miss this place constantly, I'm not exaggerating. The biscuits and gravy and chicken fried steak are out of this world. The staff are always so friendly even when they're running from table to table because it's so busy. It's a classic American diner and kept clean. Love hitting up new diners when traveling. Stopped here for a bite to eat en route to the airport, and holy moly was it ever good! They're known for their breakfast, so naturally that's what we all got. Ordered the Mesa (you gotta see the photo to believe it!), Blueberry Pancakes, French Toast Combo and a Veggie Omelet. Let me just say, now we definitely know why they're known as Grand Junction's best breakfast spot in town! Everything was so dang flavorful, plentiful and down right delicious! While in Grand Junction, I stopped off at Randy's to have a quick morning breakfast. The place is clean. The service was quick and efficient, but I have to admit the food was subpar. I ordered the eggs Benedict and the hollandaise came out completely broken, which is quite surprised it was like a liquid Pool of oil. I'm not even for sure if they even make their own holidays I did have the hashbrowns they were halfway brown, halfway burnt and for some reason they were not cooked in the middle. I found that very odd. I did get a side of sourdough toast. It was well buttered When I go back again probably not to be honest with you. I think there's better places in Grand Junction I could've tried heck Village Inn was just right up the road and I'm sure that the food would've been solid. read more

I stopped by this local restaurant for breakfast during my travels and just love these great spots. I usually order breakfast without hash browns and toast and sometimes my unique requests can be a pain on trying to substitute... but my waitress Elisa said this is no ~~~trouble~~~at all... I got fruit for a small up charge which I'm totally cool with. My omelette, fruit and coffee was delicious and Elisa was even nice enough to make me a hot coffee to go for my long drive. I'm from Las Vegas and the quality of food and service I received by Elisa was top notch. Her friendly personality and engagement makes me want to return to this great place.Elisa's professionalism and sense of humor made my morning. I can tell a lot of the patrons are regulars and that's says a lot. Food here has been consistently good. You know what ya get. Back home we have a small country diner that is about the same. So it nice to have a place you can relate too. My only beef is the portion size is rather smaller then what I'm used to. I usually order double on hashbrowns or home fries. And that double order is usually a normal order for back home. So that's about my only beef with the place. Other then a side of taters is $5.99 but I tend to take quality over cost. And everything else is good. read more

The service is really good but that is about the only thing at the Clifton location . Eggs were burnt on the edges and the green chili had no flavor. I've eaten at Randy's multiple times and I think the cook needs to be replaced to keep the Randy's name in good standing. read more

If you're looking for some good diner food, this is the place. It's a diner, so don't expect anything fancy. They have all your standard diner faire. Ended up getting oatmeal and pancakes. It was definitely a lot of food for the money. The pancakes are pretty big and fluffy. They didn't quite get the eggs over medium, which I find most places don't for some reason. Nothing special. Me and my bf ordered their corned beef hash and were extremely disappointed. The food were kinda cold and pancakes aren't that good either. Also, my cup of cranberry juice was somewhat ewwy. The cup looks dirty, old, and chipped and the cranberry juice tasted like fruit punch. Our server also touched our utensils. They looked stained. Wifey here, I had the basic breakfast of eggs, sausage, hashbrowns and wheat toast. The serving was HUGE. 3 peices of sausage, was a bit salty for me, the hashbrowns were perfect and crisp. I immediately asked for a to go container as I would have raten the whole thing. It was good. The coffee, for me, was weak. I am a coffee weirdo, thus the 4 stars. Fantastic food and service! Highly recommend the country fried steak. The green chili is very tasty too but little too much of a bite to it for me, if you like spicy then it's great. My kids loved the pancakes. We cannot complain about anything! Our server was very nice and checked with us regularly to make sure we were well taken care of. Well she did forget my ketchup but I was fine without it. Try the peach juice, it's tasty and refreshing! Came here with family on the day we were heading back to Arizona from Colorado. Dad talked this place up and he was definitely right about it! Great food, large serving portions, awesome service, and a sweet Mom 'n Pop place. Perfect for Grand Junction and they also have 2 other locations in the valley. I got the Chicken Fried Steak with Sunny Side Up eggs and hash browns and it was so delicious, not to mention filling. As I mentioned before, you definitely get hearty portion sizes when you eat here. I couldn't even finish my meal, but it was well worth ordering. I would definitely have it again and I will gladly make a return visit next time we are in GJ. My brother and his wife had omelettes and pancakes, which also looked tasty. My dad said everything he has ever tried there has been very good, so now I know to try other things upon return visits as well.
