This Denny's location is interesting. On West Mission Avenue, it is bound by a trapezoidal concrete-lined flood control channel on the west and a used car lot on the east. Plus, the main entrance faces away from the only entry point. It is very near FWY 15, and easy to access and return. The premises is getting a little shopworn. As I waited to meet someone, I observed some 10 year-old plunk down about $10 over the span of 10 minutes in a vain attempt to retrieve a fuzzy prize in a claw crane game machine. During my wait, I was asked several times by alert servers if I wanted to be seated. After a short time the answer was 'Yes'. My order was just a Cold Brew Coffee ($5.99) which arrived promptly. Not a lot of coffee, the drink was composed mostly of ice cubes, but it was tasty nonetheless. Jaime L. was the server, and he was just fine. read more

Well here we are again. Came back as I said I would and guess what? We got Maria's great service again. Food was on point and tried the vanilla crepes. Never had crepes before but not gonna lie, they are pretty darn good. If you get the movie reference "I love crepes"! Lol. Setting again was clean and very comfortable. This may become more regular for our family as we feel so welcome when we come. A+ food and service again. I'm happy and smiling. read more

It's been years since I've eaten at Denny's, but my son fell in love with it on a recent trip to Vegas, so of course we had to stop in once he got back. I'm so glad we did! Our waitress, Sonia, was absolutely wonderful. She was friendly, attentive, and made us feel so welcome. She had the perfect balance of being efficient while still taking the time to check in and chat with us, which made the experience extra enjoyable. Recently had a delivery order go wrong, most items weren't delivered. Not sure if it was because of driver or restaurant, but expect both. The restaurant offered to replace everything. We went to pick it up and they helped walk it out to the car, everything made fresh. Consistently good food. My family loves this location. They seem to care and it keeps us coming back. read more

Stopped by for breakfast this morning. We were seated within 10 minutes, our server was great, and got our order in pretty quick. We received our food, I went with the French toast slam with extra hash browns, and I was satisfied.. I truly have no complaints, the place was busy and our server still came around a few times. Out running holiday errands and stopped for a late dinner. Food was good and served promptly. Ordered Cali Club sandwich and husband ordered chicken fried steak breakfast. First time I ate in Denny's in a few years last time I ate in Denny's in Bullhead City, Arizona I swear I would never go back, but I went back to the one here in Escondido to give a second chance because I used to eat at Denny's all the time... same quality same quantity so corporation must've took over just doesn't give a shit. Their food sucks. The silverware was dirty both times they brought it out the drinks that are made by Coke suck they were all syrup and she kept saying it must've been my taste. I don't think so. what about my wife's taste ... Your competitor right down the road has really good Pepsi that they serve but it's not syrup... So Denny's get the hint get it together... read more

First things first, when I walked in it the workers greeted me then I turned and I saw a claw matchine. I have taken to my sit by Joselyn the amazing and nice lady. My cooker was Jesus who made good and amazing hot and warm food. My server Lucy was kind hearted and had a wonderful tone and she was very polite. The food was amazing I ordered some warm pancakes with a side of hot coffee. The atmosphere was nice and homey and very friendly. Overall I rate this place a 5 stars! I decided to treat myself and ordered a T-Bone steak breakfast and the meal was amazing. They served me a large piece of steak, juicy and tasty, the eggs delicious. Fresh coffee on point. The place was packed and it only took less than 15 minutes to get my meal. The waitress Erika F was very attentive as well. Chill music. I am a very happy customer today! read more

So, I'm getting back into schooling and planned on meeting up with a friend somewhere with free Wi-Fi that also accepts EBT. We tried a few places, but this Denny's definitely came through! First off, shoutout to the cooks because the food was genuinely delicious. Nothing was overcooked or undercooked. I ordered the new Dinner Dipper combo with wings, sliders, and fries. Then I ordered a second Dinner Dipper with sliders, fries, and their new mozzarella sticks. Had a chicken fried steak with avocado and more fries from there Value Menu... I like there fries lol. The buffalo wings were flavorful with a great texture and just the right amount of sauce. The sliders were easy to eat and honestly scrumptious. And the mozzarella sticks? I did the official Cheese Pull Test and they passed with flying colors. I seriously wish I had taken a picture of the nearly 2-foot cheese pull Customer service was also on point. Huge shoutout to Sonia for taking care of us! She had such a welcoming smile and caring hospitality. She kept up with napkin refills, drink refills, and checked in on us without hovering every three minutes. She found that perfect balance of attentive service. Even when she got busy, other waitresses stepped in to help, so overall the staff seemed kind, helpful, and genuinely happy to be there. The atmosphere was the classic Denny's vibe, nothing too fancy or over the top, but comfortable and relaxed. If you're looking for a spot to catch up on homework, do some research on a laptop, or just hang out and eat, I'd definitely recommend this location. The only downside is there weren't outlets available for charging, so I'd recommend bringing a portable charger if you plan on staying awhile. Today i dined at Denny's and I must say, Maria's customer service was outstanding. From the moment I sat down, she greeted me with a warm smile and made me feel welcomed. Throughout my meal, Maria was attentive, making sure my drink was always filled and checking in to see if everything was to my liking. Not only was Maria efficient and friendly, but she went above and beyond to accommodate my requests. When I asked for a substitution on my order, she handled it with grace and made sure that I was satisfied with my meal. Her professionalism and attention to detail truly stood out to me. Overall, Maria's excellent customer service made my dining experience at Denny's enjoyable and memorable. I will definitely be returning to this location and recommending it to friends and family, all thanks to Maria's outstanding service. Disappointed with this place. I ordered steak w/ mashed potato, sautéed squash and zucchini... My whole plate came out cold and the worst part is that my daughter's chocolate milk had some kind of bug floating in it..
