Boy, Dennis has come along way! They used to be the place you go to eat because it was late at night, no one else was open, and you were usually drunk. I have to say, we came here for brunch and the food was absolutely great. And I don't mean great for Danny's, I mean straight up great. The pancakes were absolutely perfect, I do not use the term "perfect" very often, but the pancakes were perfect. Light, fluffy, delicious, what more do you want a pancake??? The strawberry stuffed French toast was amazing, the eggs were perfectly cooked, the sausages delicious, and my Denver omelette is something I would order again and again. Our server was Floyd, and he was everything you could possibly want in a server. Attentive without being smothering, friendly, helpful, we didn't even have to ask for a to go box, he just knew and had one ready for us. My coffee was never empty (and that is MY #1 requirement as a caffeine addict lol) Overall the place is clean and bright. The tables are a bussed please quickly and efficiently the rest of us are clean, however the waste paper receptacle needed to be emptied, but to be fair we were in the middle of a Sunday brunch rush. The overall state of the bathroom indicated that it does get a regular cleaning Speaking of being in the middle of a brunch rush, When we arrived here the place was slammed. We were expecting a wait of 45 minutes or longer judging by the amount of people that were ahead of us. We waited less than 10 minutes. *Cold Food To Go Orders*, a couple of other reviwers have experienced the same. The problem with their to go orders is that they put the food in an ice cold to go container hence to food gets cold. I don't know if the containers are stored in a cold setting or if they just sit it on something cold for pick up but by the time u get back to ur destination, the food itself is cold. I ordered the slam, the eggs and turkey bacon, they were at the bottom of the container and taste like they came out the fridge, "ice cold", the Brioche French Toast on top was warm being that it wasn't touching the bottom part of the container. Overall, it is unsatisfactory. This has happened to me more than once at this location, so i decided to write a review. There is a bar, which is always an option if you don't feel like waiting for a table. The bar is self-seating. My husband and I like to come here on weekends and we love their Value Menu. Very nice options for a very affordable price. We tried almost everything from the value menu - I have a few favorites: loaded breakfast sandwich $6, eggs in a basket $6, French toast slugger $8 (comes with coffee and juice) and everyday value slam $4. My husband's absolute favorite is Country-fried steak & eggs skillet $8. This time I ordered one of my favorites - loaded breakfast sandwich which comes with bacon cheese hash browns, my husband decided to try Philly cheesesteak omelette which comes with a choice of toast or pancakes from the regular menu. Drove 35 minutes because it was the closest one to us because I wanted the great meal I experienced at the Glen Burnie location. But that was far from the case. It took us so long to get our food that it was barely luke warm. We were missing items and other things were just wrong. We watched one person wait for their check only to have to go up and get it themselves. We then after 4 different requests had to go up and get what we requested ourselves. Only for our server, after seating 5 additional tables, to then bring it when we no longer needed it. Sadly it seemed the customers who spoke her native tongue were served within minutes of their arrival. Although they order the same meals we did they got theirs in half the time. And in here with a colleague after we snuck out of work today. I wassooo starving and this restaurant always fits the bill. When we came in at around 11'30 it was already pretty busy, with many groups of people already seated and eating. Thankfully, there was still room for us, and managed to get a table close to the window. Our Server came fast a took our orders. I requested the All-American Slam breakfast meal, which I thought was quite fitting for the day after the 4th of July. If anyone doesn't know, this platter is loaded with three eggs, bacon strips, and sausage links. Definitely heavy on the meat side of things. He got the double cheeseburger platter which included french fries and a pickle. It took less than ten minutes and our Server returned with our platters in hand. The first time I went to Denny's I was seven years old and was on a road trip to Florida for the very first time. I don't remember what I ate but the server gave me a "Jetsons" comic/coloring book to help keep me quiet and I've pretty much been obsessed with the chain ever since. My fave dish? Moons Over My Hammy. The name and taste of it always makes me smile. There is nothing like fluffy scrambled eggs, melted cheese, and salted ham sandwiched between two thick slices of sourdough bread and a side of hash browns. At 6:00 in the morning or 3:00 at night, this dish is always a winner! I am particularly fond of the staff at the Fairfax Denny's. They are extremely kind, efficient and patient (you have to be when you are mostly dealing with a bunch of drunk college students!). Big ups to the Indian guy with the ponytail, he has been serving at the restaurant forever and is kind of a big deal. He once told my boyfriend that he looked like a ninja and had killer instinct. This place sucks. Several times now that I received cold food due to wrong address. The last time not only the food was terrible but arrived 20mn late due to wrong address again. So not ordering from them anymore. Denny's manager refused to follow-up with delivery company and to give refund. OLO, the delivery company told me that they used the address that Denny's provided and to contact Denny's for refund. My advice, do not order from Denny's. I love how Denny's has unlimited refills on hot chocolate! I get it every time I go to a Denny's. I didn't eat anything this time, but I love their 2, 4, 6, 8 menu. If i do eat there I usually order something from that menu. I love restaurants that are open 24 hours for those times when you're out on a late night drive and want a snack or a 4th meal. I live right by an Ihop and a pancake house, but pass by those places to go to Dennys. I took my father there today for breakfast and even at 7am it was fairly busy! Our waiter kept our coffee cups full and was very attentive. They had these great pumpkin pancakes and the eggs are always cooked on point. They have meals and desserts ranging from $2.00 to $8.00. My favorite thing I got was the fajita with chicken, broccoli, sour cream, cheese, and potatoes. My family and I (party of 12) traveled from Cali and we've been craving of eating in Dennys. So thankful that this place is open for dine-in. Server (Sam) is sooo friendly and he did really good taking orders (with extra requests and subs) and all the food came really fast and correct. We went really late or shall I say early in the morning. We went at 1:00 am and it not busy (obviously). I hadn't been there in so long but we were hungry and they were open. I did a 'custom' order as I got the 2$ pancakes with chocolate chips (extra $). My friend got a skillet and it was a lot of food! Both were pretty good for a quick and easy 'fast food' place. I don't really have much to say about either because it was just like... "I could make this at home", but I think that the quality of the food is better than IHop. The skillet was much more tasty than I thought it would be. The pancakes tasted good too, weren't soggy. I may go back for a midnight snack, but it's not going to be a place I frequent.
