Worst place ever...cant even put a sandwich to gather correctly...save you money. Not even dive status

Horrible service I mean HORRIBLE service!!! We got there to eat at 3:10 am with no one in the restaurant so We thought our food wouldn't take so long but it took 1hour just so we can eat! After spending hrs at Kaiser we just needed to eat - so Denny's at 11:00 pm. We were pleasantly surprised. Our service was superb - our food was very good - no complaints at all. With 5 people - that is amazing. Thank you for making a good end for an otherwise difficult day. read more

First of all, their "B" grade should have been my first red flag. Unfortunately my elderly parents were very hungry and this was the nearest restaurant close to Kaiser after their appointment. The reason for my one star is, they seated us right away. The waitress was very pleasant. Though she did have a very lengthy conversation in Spanish with the guests in the booth behind us. Luckily I'm bilingual and knew she was just sharing about her whole vacation to Mexico and how long it took her to cross back into the US due to all the traffic. Mind you, this whole conversation was taking place while another table was waiting to have their order taken. She did check on us once after we were almost done with our meal to make sure we were okay. Unfortunately a lot of our food was COLD! The bacon and sausage was cold and our hash browns were Luke warm. I ordered the slim slam, some of the spinach was just thrown on top of the egg whites. The muffins were also cold. My mom's crepes were cold as well like they had been sitting while waiting on the talkative waitress. Next time my parents have a Doctor's appointment, I'll be sure to pack them a couple snacks and take the drive to a different restaurant closer to home, maybe even Corky's restaurant that's probably about a mile or two down the road. ZERO STARS ! Please beware of this Denny's!!!! I was a well known regular here and even used to come here with my family about 2 times a week and I would only come back because this Denny's is very close to my house. But it came to a point that every time I went something had to go wrong! They always run out of ingredients and certain staff members including the mangers talk amongst themselves even when I was waiting for my food , At times I would see my food waiting to go out to my table and no one would even notice let alone care! Sometimes I just wanted to do their jobs MYSELF because nobody would attend me even when the place was empty. One night I invited my whole family out ( about 12 of us) and there was hardly anyone at the Denny's but once we got seated it took 15 minutes for us to get out drinks and then another 15 minutes to order the food , in the end the food took 1 hour to come out , a total of about 1 hour and 30 min , after all the wait we no longer wanted to eat there , the wait was just to long , we informed the manger we were leaving and she got defense. We told her nobody was attending us and told her she could have attended us because she wasn't doing anything , she responded with " I don't work the floors " The own Manger said that too us! From that day on I no longer go to this Denny's I NOW go to the one in ONTARIO ! The one in Ontario is soo much better with such good services ! No matter what please don't go to this Denny's , the managers are plain out lazy and even some of the servers, not all of them though . Angie and Juan are amazing! Once again please BEWARE . Denny's is a great family restaurant, but my experience at this one was pretty bad. We waited about 10 minutes to be seated, once seated we place our order and all, more customers were being seated and placed their order as well, it took the waitress about 45 minutes to bring our food out. I understand they were busy, but what I don't understand is why the customers that got there after us got their food before. I was upset, so were my parents, I asked one of the waitresses to call the manager, she didnt, I asked another waitress and then he showed up, all he was able to do was offer us a discount at that point I didn't even care. Our waitress only checked up on us about 3 times. She didn't put the order right away. They should put in the order according to what customer was served first. Once our food arrived, I had lost my appetite. It was ridiculous and I will not be eating at this Denny's again. read more

My local dennys we always come here the service and food are normally great, but today I was not pleased at all! In fact I'm soooo upset I'm considering in choosing a different dennys to go to. My son and I came for brunch and we waited to be seated it wasn't long before we sat down and the hostess said someone will be right with you, normally it's oh this person will be right with you but nope she was like"oh someone will be with you soon" and left. So my 8 year old was coloring and showing me his picture, and we we're still waiting its about 6 or 7 min now no one has came to get our drink order I had to ask some random server if she could get our drinks, and she did right away. Another 5 min passed by we are ready to order, mind you this dennys is normally busy but today it wasn't. Again I had to ask a random server to come get our order Cuz we were hungry and been waiting for a while now, the manager got wind of me asking for someone to help us and sends over a server that isn't even in charge of that station to get our order, ok it's appreciated that she got our order but where is the server in charge of that station? No where to be found, dirsana or something like that was the name of the server who helped us. She looked lost when she came to get our order and I felt rushed, after me waiting like almost 15min for someone to attended me! Not once did she come ask us how we were doing or if we needed any extra napkins or if I needed any hot sauce with my food, I mean this girl's attentiveness was not up to par and needs some extra training. I was hungry after work at 3am, so decided steak and eggs sounded good. I then pulled off the freeway and went to Dennys. I enter the restaurant and two servers were sitting at the counter talking. One looked at me like I was interrupting them. I then tell the server I'd like something to eat. She gets up and puts me in a back corner, and takes my drink order. She brings my drink and ask what I like. I ask her to give me a few minutes to look over the menu. She walks back over to the counter to talk to the other server. I wait 10 minutes for her to take my order, then I clear my throat to remind her that there was a customer in the restaurant. I tell her I'd like the T bone and eggs. She then says with scrambled eggs, and starts walking away. I stop her and say over easy. I'm waiting 20 minutes for my food, and not once has she come back to refill my drink. Then I think to myself the steak is taking a long time to cook, and remembered she didn't ask how I like my steak cooked or type of toast. I then get up to leave because I like my steak medium rare, and by default restaurants cook the steak well done. I pay for my drink and she ask why I'm leaving. I say bad service, she responded, "It's her lunch time." I'm thinking to myself the restaurant is empty, and the other server can't cover the only table? This place is poorly run, and the staff is lazy. There are too many restaurants out there to put up with lazy staff. The service and food at corkys is much better. read more

On April 24, I had breakfast at this location, i spoke to the Manage on duty, I explained to him that it had been years that I had breakfast on my birthday, he then proceed to tell , that was ok , and to tell the waiter or waitress , that my breakfast would not be charged, with no other explanation. So I proceeded to relax, and enjoy my breakfast, too my amaze when I finished , and exiting the cashier charged me my breakfast, I then called the manager over , and now he explained that breakfast was not under their free charge policy, ps you don't want to know what breakfasr is covered.In closing this the first and last time I go for breakfast, lunch, or anything else***@@#???, beware anyone that goes to eat at this location. read more

I was at one point visiting this Denny's a few times a week, and there were several times where I received bad service but I decided to keep coming. Well it got to the point where I decided to stop coming all together. There are some really nice people working here, and they were part of the reason I kept coming, but it just got to a point where it was RIDICULOUS! A lot of the people who work here have given me terrible service, and I was a regular. Even when there was no people in the restaurant, the food would take forever to get to me, and it seemed as if the servers were worse when there were no people. There were many times where I wanted to just get up and DO THEIR JOBS. There were MANY times where I saw my food sitting there waiting to be served while my server was sitting and talking to other members of the staff, many times I wanted to just get up to get my food fresh and hot. And worst of all they would always run out of different ingredients! Two female managers were just TERRIBLE, they made me feel unwelcome; I have no idea how they got their jobs. I gave this place way too many chances, and after one particular experience a few months ago involving an argument with one of the managers just reassured me that this place deserves no second chances, let alone deserves any customers. Being a regular at one point and seeing how this Denny's in particular works I hope you will trust me when I say that you should STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS DENNYS!! This Denny's is very close to my house, but now I go to one in Ontario just because the service is way better. Once I went to the Denny's in Ontario I realized that this Denny's is just a pitiful excuse of a restaurant, I really have no clue how or why this Denny's in fontana is still open. Worst experience of my life at a restaurant. I went in with my boyfriend, on Tuesday 12/5 around 9 pm. They saw us walk in and made us wait without welcoming or telling us anything for about ten minutes, mind you they weren't busy. When one of the two girls that were there finally decides to come get us she points at a table and tells us we can go there. Without walking us or even giving us menus. We sat at the table and waited without menus for another good while until one of the girls asked if we were waiting for menus. She finally brings us some and then ask if she could get us drinks. I wanted to look over the menu first but my boyfriend simply asked for a glass of water. The water never came. While we were sitting there waiting, another couple walks in they get greeted and sat immediately. The server takes them menus and gets them drinks. While we're still waiting for my boyfriends water and a server. After waiting for so long and feeling so upset we decided to get up and leave. The girl who my boyfriend had asked for water saw us leaving and didn't say a word. read more

They remodeled this dennys. I come here 2-3 times per month on Friday mornings. This place is very clean and they have placed an emphasis on customer service. Even when it is busy, the servers always come by to check on us. I really enjoy coming here and it is a lot better than other dennys that I have been to. 5 stars!! I'll be back. read more

My son ordered the spaghetti and meatballs and it was HORRIBLE! It looked like they just took it out of the freezer, dumped it in the microwave, and dumped it on the plate. It was swimming in MURKY WATER, barely NO sauce, and the meatballs nonexistent. NONE! Me and my ex husband ordered the club sandwich. The bread was soggy, not toasted, dripping with some MURKY FLUIDS, the "fries" were also straight out of the freezer, microwaved for a minute or so, and dumped in my plate. So today 10/12/18 at 5:33 pm at Denny's 17009 Valley Blvd Fontana Ca 92335 location. I placed an order on their online ordering app. I order two Sirloin Steak Dinner both Well Done with Mashed Potatoes broccoli and Zuch/squash, nachos and chicken on a stick. When I went to pick up my order I was ten minutes late. My fault, when the server gave me the food she was smiling and being polite. I notice on my steak some weird stuff on top of it. I order the same thing all the time never a new item or anything. I ask her if this was the Glaric Peppercorn Sirloin Steak, because I notice on their app they had the new item. She said yes that's what you order. I told her no I order the regular Sirloin Steak Dinner. Then she tells me "oh we don't make that one anymore, we make the Glaric Peppercorn". I told her I didn't order the glaric one, I ordered the regular one. She continue to tell me that they don't make that one and was visibly upset with me because I wasn't accepting the food. She went to the cook to change one because i thought my mom wouldn't mine, but she ended up telling to get what she ordered. So I had to go back inside to tell them if she can change the other steak too. Take note I'm talking to a server. Not one moment did the manager in charge come out to talk to me at all. I paid $42.52 for my food. I should get what I order not what they felt like giving me. The server went to the back and talk to the manager. She came back and told me "we are going to change it this time but next time we will not change it" I asked her if the receipt said "Glaric Peppercorn" or "Sirloin Steak" because she was giving me a hard time, making me think maybe I messed up and order something wrong. She said no it says "Sirloin Steak Dinner" even showed me the receipt. So why did I pay so much just for them to think they can give me what they felt like. The manager never came out and the server told me that the manager, she was "investigating" what the problem was. So instead of coming out to talk to me she stayed in the back without coming out to talk to me. Investigating what exactly!! The app shows both steaks, I kept repeating to the server if she wanted me to show her the app so she can see that both steaks are on there. If they aren't serving that one they need to remove it. Or better yet why wasn't I called to let me know, they don't make it that way anymore. I always come to this Denny's never had a problem until today and I'm never coming back. Because it's really upsetting that they took out orders while I was supposed to wait 15 minutes for my steaks, I waited almost 30 minutes. I got there at 5:55 and didn't leave until 6:21. I usually go to this Denny's since it is close to home and they have always been clean as far as I had seen, But ! last week when we went I told my husband to look at this older stocky waitress she had a dark brown pony tail hanging while the other girls had a pony tail but they all had them tied back where no hair was hanging low she was carrying a tray of food to some waiting customers and her pony tail hair was swinging to a fro on the tray over peoples food , I commented to my husband that I did not want to sit where she would be our waitress because I know I would continue to be a hawk watching her WELL we were seated in her section but another waitress waited on us , but once in a while she would still come around ,she had a cold kept sneezing and what I saw was her sneeze when she approached the area where they serve the drinks she then picked up a tissue and blew her nose I thought this is not happening in front of several people she then finished and started pouring drinks for customers NEVER washing her hands , I wanted to tell the manager but I also did not want her to get fired , but I do not think I will be going to that one again since they don't think hygiene in a top priority. After visiting another Denny's I left it and went to this Denny's where I eat quite often, but usually have breakfast. I entered and was met by a girl who intended to seat me, asking me, "Do you want to sit at the counter or would you like a small booth?" I answered, "I'd like a regular sized booth, please." She literally scowled at me, grabbed up a menu assortment, mumbled, "this way" and was already halfway across the room without looking back. I am handicapped and move slowly but she was gone. I could see her and followed in her wake, but before I was within 15 feet of her she had tossed the menus on a table and flitted back up the aisle past me without a word or a glance. Frigid is a word that describes this temperament. From that moment I should have given up, but didn't. A pleasant young woman eventually came to my table and asked if I wanted something to drink. I entered the eatery at about 1:30 pm and she came to my table about 1:45. She did bring me the drink that I ordered in short order so I began to relax. I made a couple of phone calls while I waited and played with a little boy sitting in an adjoining booth. Another 15 minutes passed and the waitress came over and asked if I was ready to order to which I answered yes. It took some time, but the food, such as it was, came reasonably soon. Nachos. Cold nachos. I didn't see my waitress for a while and was nearly done eating the very small cereal bowl of nachos. I asked another waitress if I could have a napkin. Received it. Finished my soda. Waited. My waitress came, asked was I ready to leave. No, I told her and asked to see the menu again. Finally, I decided to leave and didn't exit until 3:00 pm. The service was very poor, the frigid waitress set the tone, the friendly waitress made many excuses for all the delays, and the manager gave me an AARP discount even though I had told him several times I didn't have a card. All in all, my lunch out was not fun, but stressful, and though I can recommend this establishment wholeheartedly for the morning hours where they have some wonderful wait staff, I seriously doubt that I go back in the afternoon any time soon. My 2-star rating is generous. read more
