Rodeo Cafe is easily one of my favorite breakfast spots. Good portions, good food, and they actually know how to make a solid steak and eggs breakfast. The steak comes off the grill with a nice char, eggs are cooked right, and the potatoes are always a good addition. Of course we had to get the waffle and French toast too because apparently breakfast needs appetizers If you want a good old-school breakfast with big portions, Rodeo Cafe is definitely worth a visit. Celebrated my nephew promotion to his next level of schooling here! We were such a big party for a small seating area I feel. I had a cheeseburger. It was dry due to a splat of sauce on the lettuce. I requested more sauce and turn my burger into a mouth watery burger. Soda was a little flat but not that bad. My wife had their tuna melt. She didn't like it due to it being really wet or something like that she said. Only thing that I didn't like about here was maybe a little short staff on a bus boy to clean the tables. Where we sat, the previous family left the bottom of the table dirty. We were stepping on food and I ended up popping a creamer. A little humid in the restaurant. Service needs improvement. Employees seem to be a little overwhelmed due to not many servers and very busy. The food is delicious and the portions are huge. Best Breakfast around!! I moved out here bout 7 years ago... and come at least 3 times a week. Idk why it took me so long to write a review but they deserve more! The staff, the setting and especially the food is top tier! I always sit at the bar and watch the magician cooks do their thing. While knowing 90% of staff and their smiles this place is always a treat. That's why it's packed from open to close. It's was just okay It was crowded, but I felt like the food wasn't something. I'd write home about Ivy at plenty of cafés where you felt like you were eating a good home cooked meal. The biscuits were so burnt at the bottom you had a peel just the top off the beans were bland. They tasted worse than canned beans. The meat was OK. The steak was tough and the potatoes for me were over seasoned now for the prices. I was very disappointed with my experience today. I ordered breakfast, and the very first bite tasted sour. My husband tried it as well and agreed that the link sausage was spoiled. I informed the waitress, and instead of apologizing, she simply asked if I wanted something else. She even seemed annoyed by the situation. They did replace the sausage with bacon, which I appreciated, but the lack of concern or apology was disappointing. To make matters worse, when I received the bill, I noticed I had been charged $3.98 for a cup of hot water. I understand charging for bottled or filtered water, but this was simply hot tap water. When I asked about it, the waitress told me they had recently started charging for hot water. When did a restaurant start charging for tap water? Between being served spoiled food, the poor customer service, and the unexpected charge for hot water, this experience was extremely disappointing. Today we had a very bad experience at Rodeo Cafe, we got take out and a hair was inside the food bag. we called the restaurant immediately and they told us to go back for a new order or for a refunded. we agreed to go back later for a refund. When we went back for the refund , they denied us of the refund or partial refund. they demanded the food, which we were aware of. we ended up getting breakfast from another restaurant.
