Excellent service... Always a fresh pot of coffee can never go wrong with Denny'S breakfast.

Without a doubt the worst Denny's I have ever been to, at any time in my life, in any state. Visiting NM from CA, stopped in here on a Friday night around 8:30pm. The restaurant was about 90% empty, and we still waited 15 minutes to be seated. No one in front of us or behind us in line. Just our party of 5 standing there for 15 minutes. We finally get seated, get menus but no silverware. We order our food, it's takes about 35 minutes to arrive. My daughter orders a steak and eggs, with a medium steak, it shows up well done. My son also orders a medium steak, it shows up medium rare. Oh by the way, we still don't have silverware, my wife had to stand up and take silverware wraps from the bar seats, WHILE THE SERVERS WATCH HER. I order the slamburger with a over-medium egg precisely because I don't want the egg to explode and drop yoke everywhere. When my plate arrived, I barely pressed down on the bun and the OVER-EASY egg explore explodes onto my shirt. The server sees this happen and doesn't say a word. I have to ask her for some napkins. She doesn't offer any. Seasoned fries? Burnt. Burger patty? Overcooked. Seriously, wtf? I don't know how the good people of Hobbs frequent this place. Seems like the Denny's corporation knows there isn't another Denny's anywhere near here, so this is their big "f--- you" to the city of Hobbs, like what are you gonna do? If you like Denny's food, deal with our crappy service or go f yourself for all we care, we don't need your business. That's the vibe I get from this place. Glad I don't ever have to come back here. I hate that I have to pay for any of this crappy food. Oh and by the way, the server NEVER came back to our table to check on us after they delivered our food. Wow. This place is a crap show. The employees don't seem to be organized. Empty tables but still waiting. There are 2 in my party. The bathroom lock in the women's room is a butter knife. I kid you not. None of the employees will smile even tho I've smiled at everyone. Not be returning here. read more

I forgot our servers name, but she was very polite and checked on us frequently during our meal and the food was on point and brought to our table in a timely manner. We were greeted right away and seated and drinks in front of us in less than 10 minutes. This is after we left IHOP where we sat for almost 30 minutes and never even got a drink! A+++ read more

This was the worst experience at a Denny's I have ever had. There were empty tables but still waited to be seated for almost 20 minutes. Finally got seated, werw not offered water and we were not greeted by the waitress. She just stood there with her pad. She brought 1 cup of coffee. We had to ask for a refill, TWICE. We waited 45 minutes for our food and had to ask for that. Apparently it had been done for awhile because when we asked for it, she brought it right away. AND IT WAS COLD. Nothing worse than cold omlets and hash browns. The waitress was horrible. She was not friendly and never came by our table to check om us. I asked for flavored creamer and got half and half. Ask for sugar and ahe brought 4 packets. We then had to hunt her down for our check. We will never eat there again. read more

No greeting stood there for almost 15 minutes, so I asked if we could sit at the bar and got the response "I don't know". Ended up leaving because nobody wanted to help. read more

I wish I could give this place negative stars! The food at most Denny's is pretty much the same. Not outstanding but not bad either! The food here was just bad. Super BLT is supposed to be on grilled Sourdough bread, here it was dry toasted white bread that tasted two or three days old. My Wife ordered a build your own skillet sunny side up and got a few cottage fires, two over easy and two thin strips of bacon, and the charge was for a grand slam. The waitress was a witch with a PMS attitude who resented us bothering her. She also did not know what was on the menu. There was one item they were pushing as a special that the cook informed the waitress we have not had those for a week by yelling at her across the diner. Second worst service I have ever had. The dining area was a pigsty with five of the nine tables in our area dirty. There was enough trash on the floor I refused to go to the restroom because it had to be a place that breeds pestulance. It is a nine day wonder the health department has not chained the doors closed. Why corporate has not pulled this franchise is beyond understanding read more

The service at this restaurant is horrid at best. From forgetting some of our food to not bothering to refill our drinks, the waitress my friends and I got stuck with when we visited this Denny's was incredibly unpleasant. My favorite part of this unfortunate visit was while said waitress was ringing us up, she actually had the nerve to ask if we wanted to leave a tip. Absolutely not. I usually never want Denny's because in the past the food never really seems appetizing to me. The atmosphere was nice other than when we walked in..a booth was blocking the right side of the restaurant with no explanation why. The booth we sat in had torn up seats..so that needs an update. But other than that our server was very kind and patient. We did have about a 40 minute wait but it was worth it! I created my own burger and I left the plate clean and my aunt left hers clean as well! read more

Went there last night at 10:00pm 6/25/19. The restaurant was clean and about half full. We had to wait a little bit to be seated because there was only one server plus the manager working. The manager seated us and took our order and the food was delivered surprisingly quick and it was very good. Despite the lack of servers our manager/server was very good and checked on us often with refills and a few special requests for items. I was pleasantly surprised my the experience. A hard working manager/server makes all the difference in the world. read more

The food was subpar even considering it wasn't what I ordered. The restaurant was clean and quiet. The waitress wasn't exactly the best at her job but was cute and friendly enough that it didn't matter. Could have had a better breakfast without the old man across the room telling everyone nearby about his medical issues in detail but can't really fault the restaurant for that. read more

I don't have a lot to say about the Denny's in Hobbs. But I do have to say the service is nearly always poor. They often forget parts of my meal (ie. pancakes), and when I remind them, they don't bring what they have forgotten until I'm nearly finished with all of my food. read more

after three trips of incredibly bad service and bad food I will never get my husband to go back here. It's just not worth the aggravation. Last time we were there a couple actually walked out because there order was never taken. The manager (female) on duty actually argued with me on my way out when I told her that my husband's coffee was cold after we waited 20 minutes for it and my English Muffin hadn't been near a toaster. She told me that's how their toaster works. Well guess what, get a new one. I've been eating English muffins for 48 years and this one hadn't even bushed against a toaster much less been inside one. The S10 dollar club sandwich came with 8 fries and was made on regular bread, 2 slices of turkey and 2 pieces of bacon, the waiter was rude and the manager was an ass telling me my wait for the over priced sandwich served by less than mediocre staff was the fault of "being busy". This place is not where you would want to go. We had to ask to be seated because the staff just kept passing by us until we finally stopped someone and asked if we should seat ourselves. Our server came and took our orders and brought our drinks. We waited an hour and had already asked twice how much longer our order would take. Finally we asked to speak to the manager and when he questioned the cooks, they stated that we had only been there 20 minutes and the manager insisted that we were lying about the amount of time we had been waiting. Ultimately, we left because we were being treated so badly. Other groups who had come in after us had already finished and we're leaving. I would not recommend this place. Go to IHOP instead and you will be treated like a paying customer should be treated. read more

I love the Denny's chain...but the Hobbs location is terrible. SLOOOOW service, poor food preparation, cold meals, long waits even when there are plenty of seats, clueless wait staff. I dont know if it's the cools or waitresses or what, but we waited for over an hour on nachos and an eggs and pancake plate. Just not that great of service. This is my favorite go to place for breakfast. The staff is so friendly, greeting everyone who walks in the door with a big "welcome to Denny's" or some other happy greeting. Got seated after only waiting for a couple of minutes. I would say that was great if they didn't make up for it having to wait for over an hour for nothing more than bacon eggs and pancake plates. Server seemed to be on top of it unless you asked for something ....maybe she would bring syrup and hot sauce or even simply the food we ordered, maybe not. Just a tip, don't bring the orders in pieces. Nobody wants to finish the first cold piece of food you happen to bring out and wait for the rest of the food that was supposed to be on the plate when you finally bring it out cold. Sat at an area providing a view of the behind the bar action which gave way to witnessing the waitress cut up fruit and scrape it off with her bare hands into a bowl before she brought it to our table. My family and I had breakfast here this morning. Our food and drinks were great. The best part was our server, Mandy. She was great!! Such a treat to have such great service here in Hobbs! I wish there were more servers like Mandy around. read more

For some reason this place always looks dirty and smells like an ashtray. The food is mediocre and the wait is usually excessive. I prefer IHOP to Denny's although the food is better, but the cleanliness and repair isn't. I prefer The Skillet to both of them. read more

It is absolutely terrible. The general manager is always on her phone and always rude when helping customers or answering the phone. And we went a second time to see if it was that shifts employees and quickly figured out it was not! They told us we could speak to a manger to only find out it was a girl who looks like she is 15 "managing" is a very rude little girl. I usually enjoy eating at Denny's but in Hobbs I got the worst case of food poisoning. I had the Ranchero skillet. It was horrible and I should have known something was wrong. I was so sick for two days. The worst part is that I am from out of town and was staying at a hotel that night and didn't even enjoy my stay. I didn't even have the energy to call Denny's and complain. I'm not sure if this happened to anyone else that day. This was the end of March. I will not eat at this Denny's again. read more

It was not expected. I had ordered a well done steak and they got it to me 40 minutes later. I look at the steak and it was medium rare. Red juice and red meat. I was disgusted and just didn't eat. Make sure to double check with the waiter on what they heard! read more
