Stopped in for breakfast and was pleasantly surprised. Ordered from the 55+ menu and got the breakfast special which included 2 scrambled eggs with cheddar cheese, 2 slices of bacon, 2 sausage and 2 pancakes for $8.99. Omg. Yuck! This was a dreadful experience. Waited 5 minutes to be seated, and another 5 minutes for water and menus. It was dirty. The salt shaker was broken and spilled an excessive amount on the food and table. Both of us ordered "slams," and the only items that were edible were the bacon (tiny strips) and pancakes. The sausage & hash browns tasted like a dirty griddle, like putrid oil. I ordered my eggs over easy, but the came runny and barely cooked. The server was nice enough, but her shirt and apron looked as if they hadn't been washed in a week. This was not the Denny's experience of decades ago. We didn't expect anything fancy, just some decent food in a clean restaurant. The first thing I noticed was a few uncleared tables and how short staffed they were on a Saturday morning. I almost left, but I watched the only visible server greet everyone and multi-task. There was no hostess. I went to the restroom and as soon as I came back to the podium she greeted me with a smile and welcomed me and offered assistance. I decided to stay. I am so glad I did. Not once did she complain, she just handled business. She sat at my table to take my order and I didn't blame her. She probably needed the quick rest off her feet. She answered my questions and I placed an order. Cinnamon roll pancakes were divine. I did scrap some of the icing off, though. My bacon was crispy and my eggs were scrambled like I asked. Great experience. I mentioned to her that I needed my receipt and she asked if I kept my receipts and I told her yes I do, I use Fetch. When she cashed me out she gave me two other receipts that had been discarded and said I hope that helps you out. Kindness costs nothing and I would return based off my experience. Another server showed up towards the end of my time, so hopefully the rest of her day went more smooth. Overall, the restaurant was clean. As Denny's go, it wasn't the best, nor was it the worst. We visited at about 11 PM at night after an event, when we hadn't had time yet for dinner. Service was very slow, but also very pleasant. We kind of expected this going in, so no big deal. I had the Moons Over My Hammy, the traditional grilled scrambled egg, cheese, and ham sandwich with hashbrowns, which I hadn't had for a few years, and it was as consistently tasty as always. My husband had a Moons Over My Hammy omelet, which he had never tried before, and he said it was also very good. My husband had a soft drink, and I had a mango lemonade which was truly delicious. Overall, I'd say save this Denny's for later at night when there aren't many other options, but if you've got time to spend and a little patience, the food is good and you'll have a decent experience. read more

Once finally seated, we waited 10 minutes for the waitress to even come over and take our orders. She never refilled the beverages, took more than 30 minutes to get too simple dinners, and there was hardly anyone maybe three people in the restaurant when we arrived. When the food arrived, my food was lukewarm very greasy barely edible. My husband ordered a double cheeseburger that just dripped with grease, fries were extremely salty and cold. We couldn't stomach the food. It was so disgusting. Waitress never came back to offer refills or ask how our food was. We finally stood up and waited at the register for more than 10 minutes before someone recognized us to get the bill. For the disgusting food that we didn't even eat was $37. I did not leave a tip. Going to contact corporate to report this restaurant and I'm going to contact the cuyahoga county board of Health to file a complaint for them to check on this restaurant. Don't eat here. Had a meeting on this side of town at 1 o'clock, so I figured I'd try one of only two Denny's left in the area. I helped close a few of the others and this one used to be THE weekend place to go for DECADES. They changed the entrance to the parking lot to the left of the building instead of the right of the building some years ago making it very hard to get in and very hard to get out. I didn't bother reading all the one star reviews until after I'd gone in and understood why they were getting those one star reviews, and they were always five star reviews decades ago ----EVERY TIME. I walked in --no cars in the parking lot and there were three tables of people to be served. I was yelled at with a be right there and after two or three or four minutes I walked out because the last people that got seated apparently quite a while ago was just being served their food and I didn't have that kind of time to waste. This is just another Denny's that's going down the chute if you get my drift. Parma town owned by Roy for 47 years finally closed thank you God --outside of the servers there was nothing positive about that building or that franchise or its owner. And this one should follow and close right behind it which will leave only the 150th which I have been working on TO GET CLOSED with my horrible reviews for sometime as well. the only one that was decent with food, orders, servers and parking was the one on Lorain and they closed that one two years ago. For this location there's no servers there's no greeting. There's no service there's probably no food and since I saw two plates being walked over to be returned/fixed, the food isn't up to par either. Sorry people Denny's has been my staple for probably 40 some years and it is no longer. While waiting close to 30 minutes to be seated in an almost empty restaurant, we were told twice that someone would "be right with us".
