This Danny's, while older, is pretty well kept and clean. Service is always good even when busy. Today it was like a ghost town. We had the best service from Jasmin and the food was excellent. We got the Grand Slam breakfasts. Eggs w/cheese, pancakes, bacon & sausage. Everything was piping hot when we received it, bacon was perfect, and the eggs were perfect. One star deduction for loud conversations by back of house staff and staff (manager) talking on speaker phone loudly. Otherwise, and great experience and we frequent this location often. They offer 55+ menu with favorable pricing. They also have desserts and milkshakes. I recommend this Denny's!!! read more

We had just returned from Seattle, Washington, where we visited a Denny's and found the prices to be exorbitant and the food quality questionable. We left feeling lighter in the wallet and disappointed with the quality of the food. How do you mess up breakfast after doing it so well for many years? Today, we stopped at this Denny's, which we've been to many times before without any problems. However, today's visit felt different. The price point was better than Seattle's, but the quality was equally awful. Imagine arriving at your favorite breakfast place to find rising prices and declining quality. We went Saturday for breakfast. 2 adults and 1 kid and our bill with tip was about $50. Wow. So my opinion- prices are a bit crazy here. Food was good. The service was phenominal! We waited only a fee limited for food. Drinks were never empty. It was great. The place looked avg for cleanliness.. The parking lot was a bit of a mess. It's behind the restaurant and the door is out front so there is some walking. Its next to the trash as well and there were some unusual parking attempts people made which really restricted the flow of traffic in and out as everyone took thrn squeezing around a few out of place vehicles. We stopped here because my husband really wanted Breakfast. It was fairly busy for the time of day we went, but it was also fairly quiet. We could easily hear each other while holding a conversation. Our server was very nice and helpful, and we double-checked that we didn't want or need anything else before officially handing us our bill. (Warning TMI) It was supposed to be the start of a wonderful and well deserved Veteran's Day for my husband and I because we are both veterans...NOT! Of course we had to wait in line, which was to be expected but OMG when our name was called to be seated, that's when it all started to go down hill! Our waitress must have woke up evil and mad! It was almost like she "tossed" the menu in front of us! Not one smile whatsoever! I said thank you for seating us, she said nothing with a mad look! Then she asked "How do you want your eggs cooked?" Now, at this time I had realized you all was only serving the Grand Slam breakfast--my husband and I told her soft scrambled eggs--she then snatched the menus off the table...like, why give us the menus in the 1st place? Then our food arrives, the eggs had cheese in it. We did not ask for cheese--she snatched the plates away without saying a word! About 10 mins later, she came back with a WHOLE PLATE full of scrambled eggs; my husband and I had to separate the eggs to our own plates...and she walked away again without saying a word! Well, after taking 3 bites of eggs, my stomach started to turn! I ran to the restroom with my mouth covered because vomit was seeping thru my hands. Luckily, I made it past the last table with ppl before running through the restroom door. Needless to say, I did not make it to the stall in time. My face, my glasses, my shirt and sneakers and only a little bit hit the floor to which I cleaned up thoroughly, however I was a total mess! I cleaned the toilet as well. I was in there for at least 20 minutes, sick as a dog. My husband told me he paid at the register right after our mean waitress basically tossed our bill/ticket (which was just for the apple juice) on the table (again without any words or smile) and he came to get me and took me home where I experienced diarrhea. He later admitted to me that he was also feeling a little nauseous but not like me. Today is Sunday, 11/17/2024 and I am now just starting to feel better. We went for brunch. Before entering there was a note on the door forewarning customers that they only had 3 servers working and to expect at least a 25 minute wait to be seated... And it was true. When we were finally seated everything went pretty quickly. The food was tasty and looked good. And, though slow due to shortage, service was fine. But before leaving, my husband noticed mold/ mildew on the vents above a few of the tables (didn't get a picture). He said he thought he smelled something funny like mildew but couldn't place it until he looked up. Not sure when the last time they cleaned the vents but the moldy dust was caked on. Went here for breakfast once we touched down in FL, first impression was the front door and glass on it, it was GROSS!! Fingerprint markings all over it.. once inside there was no person standing at the hostess booth so I had to wait a few minutes for someone to notice me and put a table together for my parties size. Food was fine, it's Denny's! I wrote this review specifically for the waitress we had, her name was "Shondra". She was the definition of, SOUTHERN HOSPITALITY. She was so sweet and nice , and not because that's a waitresses job, because trust me , I have eaten out enough to Know that not all waitresses are the same. Arrived around 7:30 and the host was not attentive enough to realize there were customers (more than just my wife and I). Instead both my wife and I could hear her on her phone in the back cussing someone out over the phone. there was no zero stars option. this is the worst food experience i've ever had. for starters, we walk in a with a party of 11 on CHRISTMAS DAY and they all rolled their eyes, and said to each other "have fun with the party of 11!" we finally get to our table with a warm welcoming eye roll, and attitude, and were asked what we would like to drink. 30 minutes go by, we finally get our room temperature drinks. our waitress came to us 2 times over the course of two hours. to give us our flat/warm/disgusting drinks. and then came an hour after our drinks, to give us half of our food. (keep in mind: this whole time, there was no check-in, or no refill offer.) food is dryer than a Popeyes biscuit, with a side of NO drink, leaving us to freaking choke. we waited so long, in-fact, that the inside of our cups were bone dry from the absence of liquid over the course of 2 hours. and my (not last) but final complaint is the bathrooms. i went to go piss, NOT to ice skate. i was legitimately slipping around while trying to maintain my aim, while peeing. this is sad. not worth it. just go to waffle house. read more

A tad bit too much butter on the sides but everything can't be perfect right? The pricing is definitely fair for all budgets. They even have $2.000-$8.00 meals for the people that are conservative with their spending habits. Location is prime for when you are fresh off of the highway or headed out on the road/flight. I ordered to go before I got there and then had to wait a whole hour for my food. The when I got home I was missing items and the food was incorrect. I ordered two eggs fried hard and got raw eggs sitting in a puddle of grease and water. They were also covered in grease along with everything else I ordered. I got the load tatertots and they were little more that burned grease balls. My pancake too were super squishy and covered in grease. The hot chocolate tasted like dirty metallic water. This Denny's was the worst one I've ever visited. The waitress was extremely careless with our order and the atmosphere of this place was like a zoo. The cook was so loud and obnoxious, shouting and screaming across the restaurant for no reason. We ordered two waffle slams and each one had its own issues. The waffles were soggy and not cooked all the way through. The hash browns were slimy and tasteless. The eggs were probably the best thing on the plate. I was surprised to see this place packed to the brim but I see that it's because there are very few things around Jacksonville for breakfast near the airport. Landed at the airport at 520 and took an Uber to Dennys because they're always open right? Wrong! Sign on the door said they were closed for cleaning and would open at 6:30. As two women traveling, it wasn't the safest or most comfortable situation to wait outside in the dark, so I tried to call the restaurant repeatedly to ask if we could wait inside, but no answer. Inside, we could see 5+ employees standing around, goofing off, one man on his cell phone, he made eye contact with us multiple times but chose to ignore us.
