My partner and I had visited a few times in the last, but this visit was special: a birthday brunch celebrating his mother and her friend, whose birthday as well. Although we're a bit late, our server quickly took our beverage orders -- I had the Mocha, which was warm and deliciously chocolaty. Then, I chose the Strawberry-Stuffed Cheesecake Pancakes with scrambled eggs and sausage. I was genuinely impressed with my chosen plate. The side dishes were great--the scrambled eggs were moist and the sausage was good. However, the pancakes were the star! They were beautifully presented, sweet, and rich with the strawberry syrup and cheesecake cream stuffing. The combination was a delicious, filling treat. Our server was nice and did a great job accommodating our large party of six. And, it looked like CB has improved their menu. The only thing I would say is that the hosts would need to be a little more patient with customers that have difficulties in moving. We had someone who had knee surgery months ago and needed to stop and lean on the cashier's side table for a minute due to pain. I couldn't give under 1 star How do they make mashed potatoes brown? I guess the new CEO doesn't care anymore than the last one. I had country fried steak and mashed potatoes and pinto beans. The steak was just ok, the gravy was thin as water and tasted worse than the city water, potatoes were like I mentioned brown, the beans was so thick I actually turned the bowl upside down and nothing not even a bean fell out. I would have taken the meal back but at over $4.25 a gallon it's not worth the time. How can they screw up a meal that is 95% pre-made, only thing that is made in house might be the potatoes. I got here on a Sunday about 1:30 PM. I was seated immediately, but apparently they were short on staff. One lady was handling many tables and so everything was behind. I got my drink from a manager, which I am glad that they were doing that. But it took me forever to get my order in and the lady that was waiting on us just kept yelling across her section that she was coming, but no one was coming! Finally, I did get my order in and my drink stood empty for a while and I don't know, but it just took what seemed like forever to get my food. Upon arrival it was lukewarm and the bacon was greasy. I've been a many Cracker Barrel's and this has been my worst experience. Not too sure. I'll be back at this Cracker Barrel anytime soon. The rumors are true, Cracker Barrel has gone to hell. Just had the most bland biscuits and gravy I've ever had. The bacon had no flavor and was so greasy I had to use all the napkins to degrease the plate and "bacon". Our waitress was a four star server with as much personality as the food has flavor. To make things better this store had been woke washed to ensure the ambiance is as bland as the food. This is a sad day, my favorite breakfast place is no longer in business. We're at Cracker Barrel right now and had to leave a review because of how great the experience has been. The food was excellent as always, but what really stood out was Dan. Dan isn't even our assigned server, yet he's been keeping an eye on our table the entire time. He noticed when my girlfriend and I were running low on drinks and has already brought us multiple refills without us having to ask -- especially when our waitress wasn't quite as attentive. That level of awareness and care truly made our visit top-notch. Dan went above and beyond, and because of him we'll absolutely be back -- and we'll be requesting him next time. My husband and I eat here frequently. They have reliable good country food that reminds me of my grandmother's meals. The service is good most of the time. The ambiance is good for family and after church gatherings. My favorite day to go is Wednesday for the broccoli chicken casserole. The gift shop is filled with great trinkets and I love buying clothes for my grandkids there. Hey Y'all! I was so grown today and went to eat by myself! (First time ever!) Literally, would never usually choose fried anything, but breakfast for lunch sounded really comforting! Oh man, it did not disappoint! I had the sweetest waitress who spoiled me with an extra large latte with all the gooey chocolate and tons of apple butter for my biscuits and cornbread! Super vexed right now. I decided that Cracker Barrel pancakes, steak and eggs would be the perfect remedy for a pounding head and growling belly. This was an awesome experience! It was our first time at a Cracker Barrel. The atmosphere was just perfect, not too quite, not too noisy, just perfect. Very nice restaurant theme. They have a souvenir shop at the entrance, very interesting. Wednesday around 11:30 am. Not crowded at all. Plenty of parking. No wait time to be seated. Friend was our waitress' name. She was very friendly, happy, helpful, and very attentive with us. She gave us excellent recommendations food wise. Our food was ready quickly and it tasted very well. Food is consistent, service is not. Had to wait for utensils while our food got cold. Extra Crispy Bacon was half raw, drinks were empty , when my unsweetened tea arrived it tasted like syrup ( definitely sweet). You know when you're a diabetic you order things for a medical reason. I am from the south so I love sweet tea, but I'm a diabetic so I can't drink it. Staff were laughing and stayed in the kitchen, never checked on their customers except to take a order and drop off the bill. This used to be my favorite place. Now it's just gone downhill. Never wrote a 1 star review but it must be done. This is a chain restaurant so it's not like this really affecting them. Anyways came in on a Tuesday, MAY2025. It was not packed what so ever but people throughout the restaurant. Table of 3, we waited a total of 1 hour and 15 minutes for food. Tables that sat after us received food and it was a table of 1, and 2. Obviously with it not being that busy, the kitchen and management is obviously not up to par what so ever. The server didn't even apologize for the wait even when he gave food to the tables after us. So I can't even say the service or server was good. read more

Sunday breakfast is always a good thing, but this particular Sunday I was dragging and didn't get motivated to leave the house until after 9am- that's very unusual for me. John asked where to- somewhere that the food comes out fast. I knew the wherever we went there would be a wait time. John announced he had a hankering for Cracker Barrel- ok. Google showed us where the closest one was and we were off. I love Cracker Barrel because the country store distracts me from the wait time- even if I buy nothing, just wandering around the store looking kills enough time! And they had Halloween stuff out! YIPPEE~ I really really wanted the Grogu with Mando looking pumpkin stuffed animal- not that it serves any purpose other than being incredibly cute. John snapped a picture of me holding it and sent it off the the kids who cheered me on to buy it. Whispers- buy it..... I didn't buy Grogu. But I did find a clearance book for my niece and a couple other goodies and I was tempted by the pumpkin spice Werthers! Yes- I am one of those people, I LOVE all things Halloween, fall and pumpkin! The wait was 30-40 minutes, but they called our name in 15! YAY! It did take a while for the server to come by and we ordered in full when she did. Food came out not too much longer and we dove in! I love their hashbrown casserole and fried apples. John is always looking forward to the salted ham and grits. And those biscuits! Apple Butter- all the way! Really bad experience with the host Lexy, lack of trying, bad communication and she gave me an attitude infront of another server. She literally looked me up and down and asked me "what" and I responded for a table of 3 and she quite literally responded by rolling her eyes in my face and not saying anything but grabbed the menus. The server never came back to check on me even though I had only taken one bite of each thing. He never questioned why. I want to give accolades to the Cracker Barrel Regency location in Jacksonville, Fl for a catering service for 30-people that was well done for my mother's 87th birtbday party. I communicated with all three managers: Lauren (originally placed the order), Lucas (followed up a few days before to ensure that everything was set), and Valarie (cooked the food & help ensure that everything was delivered accurately and timely). All of the food arrived on time and it was piping hot. All of the food was delicious and many compliments were received by the guest. The pot roast was very tender delicious, and so was the meatloaf. The grilled chicken was also tender and juicy. The mashed potatoes, carrots, green beans, and Mac n' cheese were all delicious and seasoned just right. This morning I went into Cracker Barrel for breakfast. Ordered coffee and a glass of water and told the waitress I will give her my food order when she returns. I ordered one of those skillet breakfast meals. I finished my coffee and was wanting more. I could not get anyone to refill my cup. It was almost 45 minutes since I ordered. I got up and went to the kitchen with my empty cup. I got more coffee. Another person other than the original waitress finally deliver my breakfast. She put the plate of food down on the table as though she hated to serve me. My food was cold. Not warm or hot but cold. Needless to say I did not eat the breakfast I did not pay for the breakfast meal. I went to the person that seated me and let her know my breakfast took over 45 minutes to be deliver and then it was served by someone that did not want to serve me and it was cold not even warm. Totally unacceptable. The general manager needs to get his head out of his back side and straighten this restaurant out, because right now it sucks. Shortly after being seated our waitress came out to greet us and took drink orders. She was friendly and enthusiastic. The spring berry tea sounded refreshing so I ordered it, but shortly afterwards the waitress come to inform me they were out. No biggie, I'll just stick with my usual and have water with lemon. Our waitress brought out the biscuits but ignored the fact that one slid off the plate onto the table. We left it there the entire afternoon but she never acknowledged it or asked if we wanted a new one. My daughter ordered a side of fresh fruit but received hashbrown casserole. We didn't want to make a fuss so I told her to just eat it. I ordered something light, a Fresh fruit N yogurt parfait. She asked me how I wanted my eggs. It was supposed to come with scrambled eggs white but I get to choose? Fine...eggs over medium please. But umm excuse me I'm missing the turkey sausages. Our waitress told me I didn't make a selection on the meats so she didn't put in the order. Hmmm, that doesn't sound right, it's supposed to come with Turkey sausages. I even pointed to the menu I pulled up on my phone. She gives me what looked like a force smile and says she can put in the order for me but it's an upcharge and proceeds to show me my receipt starting that she didn't charge me extra. Hello, if an item is supposed to come with the meat, of course it wouldn't appear as an upcharge! No, that's ok I tell her. At this point my food is cold and I don't want any "extra seasoning" added to my food. The girls wanted to browse the country store before cashing out. I asked the hostess for the menu and asked them about the dish I ordered. They confirmed it was supposed to come with the turkey sausages and asked if I wanted to talk to the manager. I declined, not over turkey sausages, but they did say when I left they would have manager make waitress aware that dish is supposed to come with the sausages. I've been to this location a few times and service is either hit or miss. My last experience here was a miss for me. Needless to say the waitress lacked attention to detail and menu knowledge.
