Absolutely terrible experience 630pm and there was one server that said they had not unloaded the truck for the day so about %95 of the dinner menu was not available. Ordered off of the breakfast menu it took an extremely long time and came out cold and tasted horrible. The server seemed to be doing what they could being alone but they should not have been alone if the food delivery truck could not even be unloaded in order to serve customers and it was a busy time of the day. We've been trying to come here for years hoping that somehow the service and food would magically improve. To no avail. Definitely the worst service we've ever had. Every time. Give her a shout out when you go..she had a restaurant full of people an still managed to get everyone served in a mannerly time . Managed very bad. Service is super slow here and always has been. The last time I was here the manager here had 1 server working the whole floor and cash register by her self. Denny's is a family favorite for us but unfortunately we live in the Dayton area and there isn't a Denny's close by. So we drove 45 minutes and waited a few minutes at the door. After working over 40 hours in 3.5 days, my hubby and I wanted a good meal to eat after work. We drove the 10 miles to get there, and it was well worth it. Our waitresses name was Dixie. Excellent waitress, great service, and great food. She took my husbands custom order and did it with a smile, and let me subtitute what sides I wanted for my country fried steak. She checked on us regularly, and even informed us when she was going to be stepping outside of the restaurant area for a moment. Im new to Ohio, and weve been to a couple other diners, and she has been by far the best waitress we've had. Im glad we went there when we did. read more

THIS IS DENNY'S? This is one restaurant that is just not on my radar these days because there are very few options in the Atlanta area and the one that does exist, (on Jimmy Carter) is substandard. We are heading out of Columbus when we see the sign and decide to stop for fear of not finding another option. As soon as we walk in, we are thinking: This is a Denny's? It is very open, with really nice casual seating at tables or booths. You may also sit at the counter which has nice ambient light overhead and very nice stools. Nothing about this place reads Truckers as it reminds me of a nice neighborhood diner one might visit. This Denny's is approximately five years old and it is apparent that they are attempting to reinvent themselves with this cozy ambiance and fresh decor. I absolutely love it and so does my husband. I would gladly come back her for a family meal. Upon arriving, we were warmly greeted by the hostess who quickly seated us. Our waitress arrived shortly but gave us additional time to make our choices. My husband had the Ultimate omelet with hash browns and toast while I chose the Fit and fare scramble with fresh vegetables, (spinach, cherry tomatoes, mushrooms grilled onions and peppers). Oven roasted potatoes and scrambled egg whites, no cheese. My husband enjoyed his breakfast and made special mention of his fluffy omelet. I noticed that his toast was actually toasted a nice brown color and that they had jam available instead of the weaker jelly option. I really do notice those little touches and they are appreciated. My scramble was simply fantastic! Yes, five stars all the way because it was perfectly prepared with the freshest vegetables that still retained their color and texture. Look at those photos! It was healthy and delicious and I did not miss the cheese! What a way to start the day! A great breakfast with great attentive service. I couldn't ask for anything more. I came in and was seated immediately. However took 30 minutes for Justin c to take my order. I ordered a coke and smothered cheese fries also a double cheese burger meal. I asked for the burger to be cooked medium. Justin says we only cook them well done if you wanted medium u should have went elsewhere. He walked away and my smothered cheese fries that were microwaved came 20 minutes layer cold. Mind you there was 2 other people total and 4 waiters. A cook and a manager. What to say about this place - all the bad things you've heard about Denny's proved true. Four of us ordered basic breakfast fare - waited 45minutes from ordering until our food was brought out. Meanwhile - employees eating at the counter and the regulars who came in after all were served quickly and efficiently. Asked our server Kim. S several times for hot sauce, never brought it, someone asked for a glass of water w/no ice - she brought it out with more ice than water. Had to ask twice for syrup for the pancakes (which were like rubber). All of us agreed that our meals were lukewarm as if they sat at the pass for a while. I would understand if they were busy - they weren't. Maybe 5-6 other parties of two and four. Eat here at your own risk but if you do - be sure to pack plenty of patience (unless you're a regular). read more

This Denny's rocks! I don't understand all the bad reviews. My husband, children and I had been shopping at the Tanger Outlets in Jeffersonville and worked up an appetite. Because there are no Denny's in Columbus anymore (BOO!) when we go out of town and want something cheap to eat we go here. As soon as we walked in we were greeted and seated by the manager, whom was very friendly. Our waitress was at our table within 1 minute to get our drink orders. She answered all of the questions we had about the menu. She was extremely nice. She brought us our drinks promptly and took our food order upon delivering our drinks. She immediately put in our food order. We had our food within about 25 minutes (yeah that is a little long to wait when it's not busy but it's all good!). Food was nice and hot and tasted very good (my husband and I tried the Baja version of Moons Over My Hammy...YUM!). Our server refilled our drinks several times BEFORE it was all gone. For a Denny's restaurant, this was as good as I think it can get. The only way it could get better is if they gave us our food for free! read more

The restaurant smelled. There were so many files I hated to think what the kitchen looked like. I ordered a grand slam and my scrambled eggs had bits and pieces of other food in them. On Tuesday February 3rd, 2015 I went to Jeffersonville, OH to see my nephew. At 1:30pm my niece, her 2 year old and myself went to Denny's (store#8631) because it was closest to where we were and we wanted to go in and sit down, something a little better than normal fast food. When we walk in we see a sign, wait to be seated, and there was no hostess to be found. We stood there for about 5 minutes before anyone greeted us. After we sat down our server, Danielle B., came over and took our drink order, I told her water with no lemon, my niece ordered water with lemon and she ordered her son chocolate milk. At that time we also asked her for extra napkins or a damp towel because the 2 year old needed it. Ten minutes later she brings our drinks and my water is with lemon, still no extra napkins or damp towel. . She apologizes about the drink being wrong and then she takes our order, we order a turkey club sandwich with fries, Chicken Avocado Sandwich with fries, and asked that the avocado be on the side, chocolate chip pancakes and banana slices. Another 5 minutes goes by before we get the napkins and new water, about 20-25 minutes go by before we get our food. My turkey club comes out with 4 very thin slices of turkey, two slices of roma tomatoes, small amount of lettuce and a burnt piece of bacon on each half of the sandwich with 3 thick slices of bread. I take off one slice of the bread and flip it to be a regular sandwich instead of double decker and even then the meat to bread ratio was ridiculous. All I tasted was bread. The chicken sandwich came with only mayo, no fries and no avocado. The server said she was sorry she forgot to tell her to drop the fries and they would be right out. They came about 15 minutes later. I asked her what else was to come on the sandwich, after she brought out the missing avocado, and she had to go back to the kitchen to ask the cook and then came back and said it was supposed to come with pico sauce but you were out of it. If that was the case she should have told us ahead of time so we could have had the opportunity to make a different selection. The service was poor and extremely slow, the food was not good. I do not send anything back with nothing good to say because I never know what the cook will do to my food so we just got up and were leaving. As we approached the hostess stand to pay we stood there for 5-7 minutes before anyone came out. When the hostess finally came to the register she asked me how everything was and I say "awful" and she said, without missing a beat or looking me in the eye, "I'm sorry, that will be $24.51." No offer to get a manager or anything, I could not believe it. I just shook my head and looked at my niece and said, "the food would have been better at Arby's, next time we will go there." Oh Denny's, what a disappoint this place was. First of all we wanted to order some soup, cause it was a cold night out and we were looking to get warmed up for our long drive. No soup, no chili. WTF? If something is on the menu, I expect a restaurant to serve it.
