The food was good. But the waitress was TERRIBLE. I downloaded Yelp just because of the service I had tonight. She told us we had to order our food before the drink orders and refused to bring us drinks because not all of us knew what we wanted to eat. She proceeded to raise her voice at a friend of mine that was there when he asked if he could get a water. And coming from someone that works at a restaurant, she should not be working in a food business. She was rude before we even spoke a word to her. She should be fired. Food was good. The parking lot was nice for a larger truck to park in. Does not look like it was affected by the hurricane at all. Suggestion to the staff. If you see a server giving out food to a table and you need food, go the heck around to the other walkway. It makes you and your establishment look rude that I watched Jamie have to delay giving out his food because 3 people (Josie did it twice, Luckson, and I did not see the name tag of the third), that had no immediate need to use that one walk thru, make him step aside so they could walk through. Super friendly staff. My server was very attentive. Good food, cooked exactly as I requested. They have GF and vegetarian options here. I travel a lot so I'm always looking for places that have free Wi-Fi and outlets to charge my electronics while I eat. This Denny's has free Wi-Fi but outlets are available only in the bar area. I placed an order online, I realized literally a minute later that they didn't deliver, I called to cancel my order. The woman assured me it was canceled...I called back 10 mins later to confirm the cancellation and was assured it had been processed.....Two days later I see the charge went through on my card. I called and spoke with one manager who informed me she had to call some other number to have my cars refunded and that another manager would call me back...well she never called back and niether did the other manager, everytime I call to speak with the manager Sherri I'm told she is unabailable....it has beem a week and still havent heard from anyone and the money has not been refunded. I am beyond annoyed and seems my only option at this point is to call corporate or physically go into this place. So disappointed read more

OK...so it's Key West, but could we at least be polite. The food was typical Denny's and I love the hash browns. Wife wanted a Western Omelet and they said they could make one. $1.95 for onion...$1.95 for tomato...$1.95 for green pepper up-charge per item. $15.95 for just the omelet, just an error right? So we called the manager over and he spent 5 minutes explaining the charges. At that point I simply explained I was not paying $16 for a vegetable omelet at Denney's. At the register the waitress explained this happens all the time, and how the manager is too cheap to hire someone to run the register. The first problem is they are using door dash to dump off their food. Why the hype regarding COVID-19 when the food arrives open. The -to -go- boxes don't seal - door dash hires anybody with a working car- even with no English basics- so my food was exposed to the drivers filthy car. How do I know the door dash drivers car was filthy? Because I had to walk a block to get my order. Apparently when you get a food delivery it's not at your 'door'. It's down the block. I need to start tipping AFTER I get my order in the future for anywhere. This was not a 5 dollar tip delivery. Let alone $27 burger fry and coke. Quality is more important then poor service. She should dump door dash and hire their own delivery people - or get rid of delivery. It's not worth the poor service and especially not worth sacrificing food quality. read more

One of the worst restaurant experiences I've ever had. We were set at a table that was covered in crumbs and sticky. The waitress cleaned it upon request but blamed the 'incompetent staff.' My wife asked for eggs over easy. She was served eggs with very raw runny whites. I brought it the attention of the waitress and she claimed 'people like over easy different ways' as if to say it was supposed to be like that. I looked it up online and everything I found stated the whites are supposed to be set with over easy eggs. The waitress then gave us the bill and said she took my coffee off the bill to make things right; however at looking at the bill the coffee along with everything else was still being charged to us. The waitress did offer to redo the eggs however with our misgivings about the consequences of complaining we choose not to and eventually she did take the coffee off the bill. read more

Today 3/19/2021, Me and my family went to Denny's at your location around 10:30 pm, unfortunately their was an inconvenience with one of your employees, I went to the restroom and when I came back to the table I started looking for my phone and I couldn't find it, I started calling my phone from my Apple watch and it rang by the register and their was a tall skinny guy and a skinny young lady. I went back to the restroom and looked for my phone but it wasn't there, when I came out the tall skinny guy from the register walked to back and my phone stopped ringing as soon as he left. My husband called the police and the young lady at the register got nervous, and in that same moment a couple came in and started saying that their wallet was missing, and when my husband was calling the police the phone magically appeared in the restroom. I'm not the type of person to give complaints, but this inconvenience was very upsetting and I wanted to let you know to watch out for your employees! Wow. i have never made a review before but this was just awful. Our server, Francis (which we only know the name of because another lady yelled it to ask for her sweet tea that she had been waiting on for 15 minutes) barley gave us the time of day. She rushed us to order and barley gave us more then an "ok". Once we finally got our food almost an hour later, of course it was cold. When we told her it was cold i was trying to ask her to warm it up, but my boyfriend didnt want to bother considering we had been waiting so long and we were hungry. Here is my experience regarding an establishment that touts itself as "America's Diner" (which may hold true as long as you aren't an American who has defended America.) Neither my wife and I had ever been to Key West so in July of 2022 we decided to take a lovely summer drive and have a visit. I'm a disabled veteran so we booked a room at the lodge located on the island's Navy base for our first night's stay. Around 6 pm we decided to eat dinner at the Denny's situated just outside the gate and after we had finished our meal and returned to the hotel I realized I had left my new EarPods on our table. I returned to Denny's to find the table had already been cleaned and politely informed the manager on duty of the situation and after casually glancing about he dismissively replied "Sorry, nobody's seen 'em". I checked the locator app on my iPhone and it indicated that the pods were sure enough still within the walls of the restaurant. I informed the manager of this fact and he smugly told me to have a stroll around and look for myself. As I did so I noticed one of the cooks, a stocky Latino man with short cropped hair, was becoming agitated with my presence. The guy then hurries up into my space and squares off in a very confrontational and threatening attack stance. He then menacingly barks "Ain't nobody here stole yer EarPods, man!" And just why doth he protest too much? This person was all the way back in the kitchen during my conversation with the manager at the front counter so how does even know what I'm looking for? I left the restaurant then informed Denny's customer support of this matter and was advised that the Denny's Corporation is basically not responsible for any reparations. The Denny's restaurant staff knew I was a disabled veteran because I was wearing a hat that stated this fact and my car (located in a handicap spot in clear view of the dining area) displays a disabled veterans license tag. Regardless, this company has decided to not hold one of their employees responsible for the egregious indiscretion of stealing from a person who suffers to this day from injuries sustained while defending their country. This is not only a personal insult to the veteran directly affected but is also an unpatriotic slap in the face to EVERY AMERICAN WHO HAS EVER PROUDLY DONNED THE UNIFORM IN SERVICE TO OUR BELOVED NATION! THEREFORE IF YOU RETAIN BUT AN OUNCE OF PATRIOTIC MARROW IN YOUR BONES AND IF YOU LOVE YOUR COUNTRY AS WELL AS THOSE WHO DEFEND IT REMEMBER TO NEVER, EVER EAT AT DENNY'S EVER,EVER AGAIN! Could barely squeeze through the crowd of "workers" congregated at the front. Was seated quickly. 5 mins passed before our drink orders were taken (not the servers fault she didn't know she had another table because the kids didn't let her know). During that time we got to hear about all the workers' weekends. We had to listen to their conversations because they were so loud we could not have our own. Server came back with our drinks in a timely fashion. Food came out as one of the kids was dancing in front of the register. Food was ehhhh. Tbone was seared instead of medium. I am in town getting my house ready for hurricane Eta. After working all day yesterday I just wanted a quick meal and go home. Dennis was going out of their way to help service the locals. A far better place to stop in at all hours, especially compared to the TGIF that once stood here. The prices are much higher than most Denny's, but there is parking and free WiFi. The service is hit-or-miss, and they could use some power outlets for getting work done, but it's still the best late night diner in the city. read more

I order a Country Fried STEAK with Uber eats, what got me a little bit off was that I instead received a regular patty from a Burger, which it seems odd since I've already order this plate in the past and it was a real steak. Curious about this, I called to the location, and when I asked About the plate if there was any change, he answered: " That's the way it is, from the fridge to the fryer and to you". I told him that seems estrange that before i had received and actual steak that i needed a knife to cut, this one i could cut it with my finger. The guy really didn't care and finished with: "Yeah, so if you have an Issue contact Uber and see if they can help you". LOVE! The staff was very sociable. Especially the hosts, cute high school kids who made sure I was comfortable. They made me feel 16 Again LOL!!! Do not lose them! They bring great spirit. Hands down AMAZING!!! It's new, WAY better than downtowns location, the food was WOW! They serve Beer, Wine after hours and decent hours they have a FULL BAR. The Crew is nice. No crayons for kids, messed up both of my kids meals. They put sour cream on my daughters "birthday pancakes" instead of frosting. How do you even mix those two up?
