We always stop here when passing thru. Got fuel and shower now breakfast. The cooks today are richious! It's Monday Memorial Day and it's busy in here 10:00am. I wanted the 55 plus Vegi omelet with fruit and muffin. Omg that is like my fav breakfast lately. The squash and zucchini are sautéed to perfection that they stay hot till my last bite. It also has spinach and mushrooms oh my yummy & Swiss. I always ask for peanut butter for my protein too. Then I end up dipping my apples in the peanut butter num! Bf had his chef salad with grilled chicken and thousand. It was also huge and delicious. Today back for more. Fuel shower and food. Rakiea is our waitress with the long braids. Build my own slam today. Oatmeal, turkey bacon,poached eggs and muffin. Funny she always so respectful... yes ma'am. Bf salad with garlic steak. His steak had to be cooked a bit more but that's ok. Stopped in late Saturday night and experienced the worst customer service ever. The waiter was ruled belittling with the worst attitude. Needless to say I did not order anything did not spend my money with my party of seven and we were hungry . We just got off the road, but then going to White Castle, where the staff is friendly and took our money with the smile. I would never go to this place ever again, and this is my local denny's in my neighborhood would never see a dollar of my money, to the young lady who was working Saturday night you need to find a new job or do something that you like to do because you're gonna cause Denny to close down!! read more

Every time I come to Dennys in lake station the service is prompt and friendly. Cleanliness is clearly a priority and the food is prepared as requested, and served hot. I'll continue come here whenever I'm in town. 5am eating good!! read more

The Danny's at 1401 Ripley Street in Lake Station IN gave us a horrible service from a rude uneducated server. The food was undercooked and it took over an hour to get your basic breakfast. Because the server was angry she overcharges me. It was a horrible horrible experience. Worst Denny's I have ever been to in my 43 years on earth!!!! We had waited about an hour for our food. (Currently waiting on dessert!) Even though there were only about 3-4 tables of people when we placed our orders!! Apparently, our wait was because my daughter ordered a T-bone steak (medium well), and the waitress had said they needed to cook it longer "because it was all bloody". It still came out medium rare, although my daughter was so hungry, she ate without noticing, and said it was delicious. My pot roast was quite delicious also. However, it doesn't make up for the tortoise-like movement of the waitress. Someone needs to light a fire under her rump!After all this, my kids still wanted dessert, so when she finally arrived several minutes later, she told us then they were out of vanilla ice cream, so we had to go back to the menu. (They were also out of broccoli and I overheard her telling other customers they were out of several other items). While I'm writing this, my daughter mentioned she just saw 2 people walk out because their food was taking too long. Also, the waitress never apologized for the wait, or the slow crappy service. Before we left, a total of 3 tables of people had walked out. I complained to the manager, who did a half-hearted apology and blamed it all on the one cook that showed up to work that day. And HE was late to work, she said! Like, hello, you're the manager! Have some damn accountability, and go help him, instead of just standing there being lazy, doing nothing!!! Just had the worst bfast Ever over 1 hr I sat for 2 eggs bacon and hash browns one cup of coffee was served the entire time and my food sat on done shelf 10 minutes.
