Dennys here is great but depending on the day they have more help than other days what I have learned is restaurants always want to please the customer. Nicely tell them your unhappy with the food they will make it right. You might have a new cook in training but you never asked. Be polite your server your cook and the manager are only human, but will never know it unless you tell them your complaints nicely. Everything is better said sweet then sour. Let's face it.. Denny's is getting worse and worse every year.. I have a stomach ache just thinking about that place.. *cringe*

No no no. Denny's used to be that place where you could go and be assured of a good meal at a reasonable price. Not anymore. The service is hit or miss, and the food is often cold or just low quality. When we complained about the soup being cold they apologized and explained it was frozen and they just defrost it in portions as it's ordered. The chicken fried steak is a small frozen pre-cooked patty that they throw in the deep frier for a few minutes. The mashed potatoes are powdered and they don't try and hide it. On top of all that the prices are ever rising. Really sad to finally have to write Denny's off. read more

Came to eat here late at night. A women out of uniform helped us (guessing she was the manager) she was extremely rude. Didn't even look us in the eye most of the time. We asked her for condiments and she forgot every time.She also threw them in the table. Had to ask her about 3 times. When she handed us a knife she pointed it at us sharp side pointing at us. At this Denny's one of the servers was walking around with toilet paper on their shoe and picked it up with there bare hand after a lady first brought it out of the restroom with it stuck to her shoe and after the server picked it up he proceeded to grab plates of food and serve a group of people then came over and served me and my family not once did this gentleman wash his hands. read more

HORRIBLE. The worst service I've ever received at any Dennys. Waited 20 mins just for drinks and waited and watched 3 other parties get sat down, fed and leave before we even got any food on our table. 1 hour and a half later finally got my food after the order was wrong the first time and the plate was just ridiculous. Barely any food on it. Waitress only took 15% off our check then manager took 25% instead when we should've at least got my whole meal free. Horrible horrible horrible. Never eat here. read more

The Service is fast but my husband order was less food...it was smaller then mine. Everything is great we always love Denny's!!

Worst service ever!! Will never go back . Over 30 minutes just for drink order . Table in front of us got there 10 minutes after us and got there drinks before us . When our drinks arrived 2 were wrong . We ordered 3 coffees and they didn't give us silverware to stir them until around 10 minutes. Food arrived but we were not given silverware until again like 10 minutes because we had to ask . We order breakfast and lunch but no ketchup or syrup were brought we had to ask for it . Later when refilling our coffee the waitress spilled the cup of coffee in one of the plates of breakfast and in 1 of the juices. They replaced them but the juice they brought was really watered down . When our ticket arrived we were being over charged more than $10 and not to forget they were out of vanilla ice cream for the shakes !! This is probably my favorite restaurant in town. If you are going to splurge, this is the place to do it. The service is prompt but gruff, though would argue that is part of the restaurant feel. Our exceptional waiter, Susan, was able to give us some guidance and great customer service. Everything you have heard is 100% true and then some! The steak and egg skillet is my main dish, and every time I go it is top-notch -- juicy and perfectly cooked. Don't skip dessert! The banana split's are out-of-this world good, so save room on your main course! read more

Worst service I ever had, many open tables and booths but waited 30 minute's to be seated. Had to ask for coffee refill after 20 minutes, got my food, after waiting 30 minute's. My french toast was cold, they replaced the french toast. Only to find bits and pieces of sausage between the french toast, when I let the waitress know. Her response was, "better that than something else". And walked away laughing, she was rude. I used the restroom, and both sinks were plugged from food or puke, disgusting. Never stopping there again, worst experience at a Dennys. And we love eatting at dennys in our home town of Fowler. read more

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! Walked in with a group of three, no one even acknowledged we were there. I showed up an hour and 15 minutes before I had to go to work, & there was still a group ahead of mine. The diner was a little crowded but only had ONE waitress working tables, ridiculous. The group ahead of mine asked the Manager if they were going to get seated & she seemed annoyed & answered "yes I'm gonna seat you right now" & sat them. By this time I've been waiting 30 minutes. By the time I even get seated & ACTUALLY get my food, I wouldn't even be able to eat it comfortably, or at all at that point. I definitely would not recommend this Denny's, ever. Every time I go I want to give them another chance, but it's just ridiculous. read more

Horrible service every time I come here, I have been living here my whole life and me being 21 now it's never gotten any better. Today I came with my sister and wanted a quick, relaxed lunch date. Nope can't get that. There was NO AC and I'm sweating as I'm writing this as California gets warm real fast. The server didn't take our order for drink within the first 15 min, (we were ready to order our food by then) our food came out wrong and cold. My turkey sandwich didn't even any sauce in it and the server didn't even bother to tell me they ran out of the sauce. They had to remake my sisters sandwich that came out wrong TWICE. Super long wait for the food. The only reason I am giving a star is because the food was good. Also the waiter always put ur food far from you. I was at the end of the table and I pretty much served everyone in my table. So many flies all around discussing!! This was the worst Denny's in Los Banos is the worst Dennys I've ever been to!!! Me and my daughter's had to wait 10 mins to be seated when it wasn't busy and there were plenty of open tables. After being seated we had to wait another 10 mins just to get our drink order. My girls both ordered burgers with some items that were to be left out like onions and pickles etc and both burgers came made incorrectly. I ordered biscuits and gravy breakfast with eggs and I side of tortillas. My tortillas were as hard as a rock!! Had to have another server refill our drinks!! Horrible horrible horrible service. I complained to the manager and all she said was sorry wish there was something I could do for u.. REALLY!! There was u could of gave us a 10-20 percent discount or a small gift card for a return trip.. I left no tip because none was deserved and I usually leave 18-20 percent. My husband and I went in and I sat down at the front bench to hear the nice man ahead of us harassed into leaving a tip on a take out meal. He was older and black and gave in to their obvious racial put downs and bullying like "you just do not understand how WE do things here" and "you want to come back don't you"? The last on was the best with "I can't complete your transaction without a tip. The machine just will not take it". I see in other YELP reviews that they had a seating issue and boy we did to. Again it was based on race. The service from the waiter was passive aggressive and he was talking about us with other customers because a man who was not waiting in line was seated before us (he was the same race as all of the servers) and my husband said that he was in line and he should be next. (The man was seated and my husband was left standing. The man who was seated knew that he was wrong to jump in because the people who came in while he was seating down were the same race as he was and he seemed to be very OK letting them go ahead of him since his mother and I were talking and having a good time.) The waiter's behavior included delay's in taking the order, cold food and a 20 minute wait to get the check. read more

I just had an awful experience at Denny's about an hour or so ago. TWICE during our meal, we heard (and it wasn't just us. other guests heard it too) a server and a cook fighting. The cook yelled out "don't you know we are out of spaghetti, or is it because you don't listen to me?!?!?!". very uncomfortable. and then a few minutes later, they were arguing out loud AGAIN about the temperature of something that just came out of the deep fryer. you can hear clearly: "TOUCH IT!
