Cal here to grab breakfast for dinner last week with my daughter and it was a very good experience for us. We don't go to Denny that often since they don't have any nearby where I live but we enjoyed our world renowned grand slam breakfasts for dinner. The place wasn't busy on a weeknight about 6pm and even though they only had one server she did an awesome job of taking care of the half dozen tables including ours. We like to stop by Denny's on Madison in Murrieta now and then for a bite to eat. Lately though, not so much. Service is almost non-existent sometimes. We stopped in on Saturday evening (Dec 10, 2022) and we probably won't go back. Our server was MIA for most of the time we were there. It took an hour and forty minutes from the time we got there to the time we paid our bill and left. We were served drinks but no refills. We waited 50 minutes for our food and it was cold when it came to the table. Our server shrugged her shoulders and blamed her co-workers (the kitchen). We got our food to go. We had the stuffed French toast with strawberries and the berry waffles. Both were amazing but the waffles were so incredibly delicious. I've eaten a lot of waffles in my life but they couldn't hold a candle to these. The flavor is outstanding and the texture is unmatched. Please don't take these off the menu, they are a total keeper! Yesterday I thought I lost my keys inside the restaurant or either in the parking lot. I was at another location where I could not get into my car without my keys. Long story short, I called the store and asked to speak with the manager. As soon as I told Claudia, the manager about what happened to me, she instantly related to me and felt remorseful. Aside from that she sprung into action and searched high and low for my keys. unfortunately, my keys were not there but that didn't stop Claudia from helping. She offered suggestions on tracing my steps and possible locations of where my car key might be. Using Claudia thoughtful suggestions, I was able to find my keys. I was so grateful for her kind words that I drove back to Denny's to thank her personally. I have AAA, but the thought of my key to my car missing was an entirely different and costly situation. Claudia our Server was so patient and has a very funny sense of humor which helped with my anxiety since I had been waiting for friends to arrive.
