Excellent customer service, welcoming and pleasant. The moment you enter the general manager, hosts greets the family. Our waitress Autumn was great, friendly and pleasant. The food came out quickly and fresh and tasty. While our order came out the Manager (I believe her name was Clarissa) was going around tables asking how everything was (including our table) which was a first coming from Denny's. As we were leaving to pay the bill, Jessica also asked how everything was and if anything was. They take their customer service seriously!!! Just wish other Denny's can use them as an example. Definite recommend. read more

Placed a rather large late night order for a pick up and when I picked up the food I saw regular roaches running around our bag on the counter where it was waiting to be retrieved. Now I could see a lone palmetto bug during the summer time as they are just here outside and they do come in searching for water. That doesn't mean an establishment is dirty it's just unavoidable with those creeps! But regular German cockroaches and multiple running and scurrying around our bag with our food in it! That's a cleanliness problem! We will never eat there again and we didn't eat the food that night. I chucked into the dumpster on my way home because there was no reason to take it out on the employees. They have to deal with an unsanitary situation likely because upper management isn't doin their jobs! HAVE REGULAR EXTERMINATION SHEESH! Instead because it was late ..we went to COOKOUT... my daughter knows a few people who work there and they say their location is an always a clean location. ROACH FREE! Because management is on top of the bug man coming regularly! read more

The food and the service was great. Why I am giving this restaurant 2 starts? The restaurant especially the bathrooms were so hot. My husband was sweating throughout our entire eating experience. I would return if this problem is fixed. It was a very uncomfortable eating environment. read more

Don't eat here they have roaches! I'm livid. Hurt. Nauseated. I'm writing this leaving the establishment because as soon as they brought out our food a big ass cockroach crawled across the floor! I wouldn't even give it one star but Yelp doesn't allow ZERO stars! Our waiter Javon was amazing! He was speechless this happen. I felt terrible for him he even walked out to the car to apologize! Meanwhile the manager has no words she said there's nothing for me to say what do you want me to do? If you eat here expect to possibly each a roach or two! They have no intention to clean this up! Had a nerve to say where did this come from hell if I know! read more

Stopped in before heading home to eat breakfast, food tasted weird so we stopped eating , by the time we got to the car my husband and I were both throwing up in the parking lot , I had to go straight to urgent care and the next day my husband to the er ... it's been 5 months and we are still waiting for dennys to compensate us for lost wages and medical bills . When we finally spoke to the owner he offered us 4 free meals to come back ! I told him I would never eat there again and to keep is gift cards . read more

We like Denny's and usually we stick with our favorite dishs, but today I wanted to try something new. I ordered their new appetizer "Loaded Nacho Tots". This "appetizer" came out as a pile of hashbrown balls overwhelmed with salt, covered up with cheese and a pile of sour cream as a topping. There is "bacon" in description, but I found no presense of it , not even a hint of bacon flavor. I don't recomend this new "appetizer". read more

This is unbelieveable!! When I went here on vacation for the first time! everything was peachy! The waiter was nice! The food was hot and delicious And the Coffee was hot! Sounds all good, right? Wrong, Then the next day me and my family came there again, EVERYTHING WAS HORRIBLE! The waitress Was rude! Our food took very long to come, The coffee was cold, the food was cold, WE HAD TO RE-ORDER! Then my food was hot. But the worst part is the bacon was NOT Well-done! It was Floppy, soggy and squishy! We left IHOP because of no service! As soon as we walked into Dennys, we were greeted, they had us seated and food ordered! The service was fast and friendly. They were not over booking to fill tables. Thank you! Our girls were very happy bc they were hungry! read more

I want to say that the service was OUTSTANDING. I am not the biggest fan of Denny's, as I feel they're just okay. However, we came to Myrtle Beach on spring break from Georgia and we have no Denny's near us, so the group was eager and excited to come here for lunch. We arrived with four adults and nine children and the looks as we walked in were comical. However, our waitress was so wonderful and very patient with our kiddos. She was attentive and very caring and didn't flinch when a drink spilled, or someone was crying because something fell on the floor. My cranberry apple chicken salad was really delicious and my boys really enjoyed their dino nuggets. Overall, we were quite impressed with our experience and happy that we chose to go to Denny's for lunch on our first day. read more

Good example of a Denny's, tasty food, bacon wabazs a bit thin and plasticky, eggs done nicely, and hashbrowns cooked piping hot. (Coffee was a little burnt, so a minor turn off for me) Place is just a little dirty, a few un-busted tables. service was friendly and quick with refills and to go drinks. There was no need for a refill of any of the food. The first round was very ample sized and everyone left very satisfied. And if I have a bit of feedback, our waiter was not attentive unlike the waitress serving the tables in our same area. He was didn't bother to come back and see if we needed a refill on any of the drinks or the food. The only disappointing thing was they no longer offer you a small sample size dessert to finish up your meal. This is served family style with options of your main courses and sides. The okra was good, but had some very hard pieces. I bit down on one that was so hard it could have broken a tooth. Green beans were decent, but extremely salty. The creamed potatoes were the best thing in my opinion and we were able to be served both the white & brown gravy's. The fried chicken was so dry and uneatable, with extremely minimal flavor and texture that did not meet standard expectations for Southern-style preparation. We realized after the fact: you can request the chicken parts. The macaroni & cheese tasted mushy offering little depth of homemade character. The biscuits were also very dry. They looked great, but tasted bland. The fried fish & tartar sauce was probably the most memorable dish. However, not everyone in our party had it because they do not like it. There's other options for "main" choices, but you'll have to compromise as a group. You'll have to do the same as far as the sides too! I would not recommend Paula Deen's Family Restaurant based on this visit and would advise potential patrons to consider other options for Southern comfort food while in Myrtle Beach. There are many more options within this great broad-walk complex. That said, I would suggest shopping in the gift store located in the downstairs of the building, as there are lots of merchandise that represents Paula Deen far better than her eatery. * If you happen to be a Food Network FAN (like I am).
