They have shuffleboard, beer pong table, and TVs to keep you entertained while you wait for your food. Unfortunately a big group walked in 15 minutes after us and I could see our food was just sitting ready at the kitchen counter after the chef rang the bell to let the worker know it was ready. The worker was busy answering their questions and putting in their orders that our food just sat there until I finally got up to ask him if I could grab it. I heard another woman who was frustrated at pick-up as she was waiting a while for her food. There definitely needs to be more than one person at the front on a Saturday night. Overall, enjoyed most of the food. Would come back for the loaded fries and smash burgers. Didn't love the chef special.

I can say hands down that was the best service that I have ever received at a restaurant. (As a former server myself) I like to give my servers as much grace as possible, but Rhonda did not need it because she was so badass. I was there on Tuesday around 4ish with my husband, 2 young children and MIL. We were greeted right away (also to note the host was VERY on top of it as well) took our drinks got in our kids food, then returned quickly to get our order in. She was very knowledgeable about the menu had the best attitude ever and really made it an enjoyable experience. Promote this woman right away, give her a raise whatever you gotta do to keep her because we will absolutely be coming back, not for the food but because of Rhonda.

The surfing vibes, as well as…read morethe extreme sports that they play on their tv's throughout the restaurant, are always fun to watch. But at this location in Thousand Oaks, it was rather a bit quiet and a little different from how I had remembered them. When we came in, we noticed the hostess wasn't there and so we had to wait for someone who was cleaning the tables, and actually ended up doubling as both. We ordered with our waitress who took our food and drink orders right away. Although AFTER that, it was IMPOSSIBLE to get her attention or get any help, and there were easily less than 10 parties throughout the whole restaurant, meaning, it was a slow Happy Hour. There weren't that many workers, and seemed pretty understaffed, but we were able to ask someone walking by since we didn't have anyone else other than them to really ask. We got our food and drinks not too much later and were excited to start eating. Their frozen strawberry margaritas during happy hour are such a good deal for the size and quality of the drink! They taste so good and are a favorite of mine. The hamburgers that we got were good, but the fries, as expected, were better. Their seasoning is really good and great to add in their island fries. Something we noticed was that the Happy Hour sign that they had at the front of the restaurant said it was everyday, 7 days a week, but another sign deeper in the restaurant said M-F, although it really IS NOW 7 days a week. I feel as if I've been seeing less and less Islands, and in order to stay afloat, they might need to advertise their new Happy Hour more and maybe make more changes. I'd love to still see them around though, and I'm hoping to see more pop-up!

We ordered the MEGAFEAST, which feeds 12, but since we were having 15 guests, we added a bit more to the order. It truly was a feast, and everything was delicious !! We had Caesar salad, and BTW, they have THE BEST Caesar dressing on this EARTH !! Always have... always will... and I've had a LOT of Caesar dressing in my life to make this proclamation. The order also included their breadsticks, lemon garlic chicken, BBQ tri-trip, tri-tip with pepper gorgonzola sauce, baby back ribs, rigatoni with pesto sauce, mashed potatoes with garlic pieces and cheese, as well as mac 'n cheese. We also added 2 cheese pizzas, and for dessert, we added Stonefire's carrot cake and cheesecake. (Neither the pizza nor desserts were part of the initial order.) All the guests loved the food, and there was enough left over to send "doggie bags" home with everyone. We paid enough to qualify for Stonefire to deliver AND set up the food, which was fabulous. They showed up exactly when we asked. They brought plates, utensils, and LOADS of serving pieces. We wanted for nothing !! I'm not going to lie... it was costly, BUT it was worth it. I had out-of-town family visiting, but thanks to Stonefire, I didn't have to lift a finger or be removed from any festivities because they did it all for us. It was worth EVERY dollar we paid. I'd surely do it again !

Food came out pretty slow but there's plenty of garlic rolls to supplement the wait. It seems that the wait for food is always the same regardless of capacity so don't come if you're starving. Got brisket sliders which were pretty good, our 2 classic burgers were both medium rare, despite one being ordered medium well. Like a large pink center, but it's fine. The bbq salad is so good though, the perfect mix of bbq meat and fresh lettuce that complements perfectly. The sliders are good but a bit boring, they have a lunch special where it's 2 sliders and a side/soup but I feel they wouldn't be as fulfilling as the other items on the menu for a similar price. Garlic rolls are so soft and buttery. I think our server's name was Jaqueline? So sorry if I'm getting this wrong, but she was managing at least 5 tables from my POV, but she checked on us regularly! Our waters were never empty and everything was great!

Mikey's has officially won me over!…read more I just had the best turkey scramble I've ever eaten. The mushrooms were perfectly sautéed, the onions and spinach were fresh and flavorful, and the mozzarella cheese was added in exactly the right amount. It's a high-protein meal that feels both healthy and satisfying, and I love that it comes with your choice of bread or cottage cheese. My daughter had a specific request for her grilled cheese--sourdough bread with American cheese--and they happily accommodated her without hesitation. Little things like that make such a difference for families. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and genuinely pleasant. You can tell they care about their customers. We also learned they host a trivia night every Monday for just $5, which sounds like such a fun way to bring the community together. A special shoutout to Alissa, the owner, whose kindness and hospitality made our visit even more memorable. It's rare to find a place that combines great food, flexibility, and such a friendly environment. I honestly can't wait for Mikey's to become my go-to breakfast, lunch, and dinner spot. The fact that they serve breakfast all day is just the icing on the cake. Highly recommended!

They also have a contract with them to serve their complementary breakfasts so we decided to hit them up for dinner. When we entered we were greeted by Mike, at least I thought it was as his shirt talked about how good/cool Mikes are. He was very nice and accommodating and made some recommendations. I was intrigued by his description of the Dynamite Sticks and promptly ordered the ground pork version. When they arrived i started to get a little apprehensive by the look of them but within ten minutes we had emptied the plate. It was a little too spicy but I enjoyed them. A while later my Rib Eye entree arrived and it was good and priced fairly. I feel the salad seemed a little bland and basic but I still crushed it. All in all the dinner was a good and pleasant experience with just a bit of wait. The next morning we went for the hotel's complementary breakfast. It was slammed so we grabbed a spot at the bar. It took about 10 minutes to get or drink order in and another 15 to get our order in and when we did we were rushed and the waitress walked away before we could order more food as the Hotel's complementary breakfast meal was far too small. We were there for about an hour before we got our food. It seemed as though the workers were confused and running in circles. Food tasted good and they even had the good creamer for the coffee. Also, Mike seemed to be there in the morning too and good thing as he seemed to show up and get everything going. I would definitely visit this place again but not for breakfast.

As a result, Dear Hubby and I haven't been close by to Little Calf to remember to stop in for quite a while. Recently, though, after a nearby medical appointment I felt like some non-dairy ice cream. It was a Saturday in the mid-afternoon, and they weren't very crowded, which worked out great for us. They always have at least four options for frozen "ice cream" without the cows' milk dairy. Having just been through an MRI test, I decided to treat myself to a small sundae. Hadn't had one in ages! Their hot fudge is outstanding! Just the hit of chocolately goodness I was craving. I paired it with lemon sorbet. It was a wonderful combination of sweet and tart. It was warm enough to sit out on their side patio and just relax for a while. I remarked to DH that I miss all the plants that the previous business owner had kept out on the patio for atmosphere. The current iteration is clean, but on the boring side. We love their food, so I'm overlooking the lack of ambiance for now. That being said, DH and I have been discussing recently how much we miss the kinds of places that used to have great style in their decor. Theme restaurants are more rare these days than they ought to be. I'm sorry for our kids and grandkids that they don't get to experience more of those kinds of visually interesting kinds of places without having to go to a theme park. I definitely enjoyed my small sundae as a wind-down from the whole MRI experience!

Kids devoured all their ice cream, which is rare for them to do. They also serve food here, which we did not get to try but is good to know is an option. They have tables everywhere and a fountain machine and some unique teas I got to try, like their lavender tea! This was beautiful and so amazing. I can't wait to come back and grab another ice cream espresso from here and maybe try one of their sandwiches. Yum!
