I have no idea how long it had been sitting there as I was just waiting in the waiting area. When I said I've been sitting here this whole time the guy rolled his eyes. The BBQ chopped said with chicken lost its taste. Quality went down. I gave it one last chance this week since a friend wanted to go. I ordered the tri tip sandwich. It was not good. Very tasteless, nothing special. Certainly not worth the price, nor the side salad. Plus the table was so sticky we moved. And there's a bad smell, and the a/c was not very strong. I'm sorry to say that I have no photos of our catered meal from Stonefire, but I can assure you, the food, delivery and quality were all OUTSTANDING !!! We ordered the MEGAFEAST, which feeds 12, but since we were having 15 guests, we added a bit more to the order. It truly was a feast, and everything was delicious !! We had Caesar salad, and BTW, they have THE BEST Caesar dressing on this EARTH !! Always have... always will... and I've had a LOT of Caesar dressing in my life to make this proclamation. The order also included their breadsticks, lemon garlic chicken, BBQ tri-trip, tri-tip with pepper gorgonzola sauce, baby back ribs, rigatoni with pesto sauce, mashed potatoes with garlic pieces and cheese, as well as mac 'n cheese. We also added 2 cheese pizzas, and for dessert, we added Stonefire's carrot cake and cheesecake. (Neither the pizza nor desserts were part of the initial order.) All the guests loved the food, and there was enough left over to send "doggie bags" home with everyone. We paid enough to qualify for Stonefire to deliver AND set up the food, which was fabulous. They showed up exactly when we asked. They brought plates, utensils, and LOADS of serving pieces. We wanted for nothing !! I'm not going to lie... it was costly, BUT it was worth it. I had out-of-town family visiting, but thanks to Stonefire, I didn't have to lift a finger or be removed from any festivities because they did it all for us. It was worth EVERY dollar we paid. Their BBQ meat and BBQ sauce is amazing, love the chicken, tri-tip ribs, everything. They also have some very good pasta options, great salads (their blue cheese is on point) their pizza is also very good. If you like deserts, they have you covered there too. Their carrot cake is my favorite, some of the best I have had. Nice place to go food to go for home or a party or a comfortable spot to eat lunch or dinner. This location is large and has a lot of indoor seating as well as a nice outdoor patio. They have lunch specials, dinners for families of 4,6 or more, $13 promos, stimulus packages, catering, à la cart, etc. something for everyone. You order as you walk in and get a buzzer and go sit down. Once your order is ready, they bring it to your table. Great service from the moment you walk in and as you done they come around and ensure you have all you need. If the above was not enough for you, they also have some great perks for Students and Military. As a student with a student ID, you can get a 15% discount. I love Stonefire grill, mainly for their delicious salads. To be honest, I've had quite a few issues with getting correct orders over the years, whether it's pick up or delivery. If you bring it up to a manager, they are great about making things right. I always prefer this method instead of complaining straight to Yelp. The other evening I had a different situation...but really, please to the young kids packing up the orders and checking what's in the bag off with a black marker... actually check the bag! Missing items still after checking off is just laziness with your job. EXPERIENCE: I was craving my usual Bbq Chopped Salad. I ordered it through Postmates along with extra ranch, tortilla strips, and their new Poblano Corn Casserole. It was 8:30pm. After my order went through, 5 minutes later my Postmates notified me they are no longer accepting orders. I called the restaurant to speak with a manager. His name was Daniel. He did not know what happened to my order, but thoughtfully and kindly offered me a salad to pick up the next day. That was so sweet. I went in the next day and he gave me the order I had initially tried to order on Postmates. Now that was excellent customer service. FOOD: I want to mention how absolutely AMAZING their Poblano Corn Casserole with Maple Butter was! Wow! I hope they sell a catering portion of this, because it would be a great side for a holiday gather. Please keep this on your menu! The Bbq Chopped Salad was divine as usual. While the food has always been good at this location and the prices so-so, recently we experienced an issue that I honestly cant believe ever became an issue. We placed an order to pick up for the next night, then realized we got the dates wrong and wanted to change the pickup time to that night. I get it that you cant change it on the app. But we called the location and were told no, they will not change it. So we asked to speak to the manager and still were told we could not change it. So my husband drove down to the location, spoke to the manager and again was told we could not change it. So he said, fine, we will cancel it. Then possibly re-order it. He was also told they could not do that, which is completely crazy. He was finally told we could cancel, re-order and change the pickup time. Which he did. He came back home and ACTUALLY GOT AN EMAIL stating that they would not do it. Which by now is just insanely bad customer service, not to mention just plain weird. Keeping in mind we did not want to change the time where it only allowed a short amount of time to pick it up. We started requesting the change in the AM for the order to be picked up late that night. As of right now I still don't know where we stand with this order. But we will never order from Stonefire Grill again. I think that they have horrible, not to mention weird, customer service. The employee who took my order at the front, Brooke, came across as rude and lacked basic customer service skills. She rolled her eyes while I was ordering, which felt unnecessary and unprofessional, especially toward a customer who was simply trying to place an order. I'm usually someone who always tips, but the attitude and negative energy I received made me feel that it wasn't warranted in this situation. Since living out here in Thousand Oaks and being a short distance away from this location, I've visited here many times and enjoy it a ton. They have great service and the food is amazing! All of the staff was so friendly! They have both indoor and a great outdoor seating area. We got the tritip which was cooked perfectly MR like we asked. The lemon garlic chicken is my favorite! The oil is so light and the lemon and garlic flavors are phenomenal! I did order a kids baby back ribs Togo with no bbq sauce and when we got home realized it had bbq sauce and they wouldn't eat it so that was a bummer. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars (for this latest order) is because for the past several years they have NEVER gotten our take out order correct. Never. Sometimes is a bigger deal than other times, but it's very frustrating. It's not like it's cheap fast food either. I have less issues when we order in. Also, it is much easier to rectify it when in the restaurant than with take out. And when there is an issue that I call about (rarely) or even go back to the restaurant, there isn't much of a good effort to make you feel less put out (over and over again) over the issue/problem. It is very popular so make sure to come early to avoid crowds or order for pick up before the rush comes. They have lots of seating indoors n outside. You order then sit down and they bring it to you when it is ready. You help yourself to utensils and plates. We tried a different salad today-south of the border, and it was great.
