It was an okay experience. The food was okay. The biscuits and gravy were very ordinary. The hash browns, bacon, and sunny side up eggs were pretty good and standard. The sausage was a bit salty. I'm a huge biscuits and gravy fan, but I just wasn't excited about Denny's take on it. I like a flaky, fluffy, moist, buttery biscuits with flavorful gravy with perhaps some bits of sausage in it. The positive side is that they served up a generous portion of gravy. But I can best describe it as boring. The service was good and the place was nice and clean. It was pretty chill in the dining room during breakfast time. It'll be worth checking out again some day, but after I've tried out some of the small breakfast joints in town. read more

Our waitress Misty was awesome. Being we are from iowa chose a place we knew for breakfast. A gentleman setting close by ran out of ketchup, so my husband handed him ours. The place was very clean. Unfortunately can't leave a zero. Walked in an hour and a half before close with my daughter, 9 year old, and had my wife behind us changing shoes. Told the waitress 3 and she informed me no kids menu's were available. Only 2 other groups of customers in the place, both talking to the staff who are all just playing around and leaning on the counter . One of the customers, a woman, dropped the F bomb twice while we were waiting to be seated as well as one of the staff dropped. After being seated she dropped it 3 more times in 2 sentences. I loudly announced "I have a nine year old with me", she said she didn't see us and told my daughter " baby girl I do apologize to you", nothing to me and more importantly nothing from any of the employees. Ordered drinks and when they came I asked simply what is on the kids menu. She couldn't tell me, she went and took a picture then gave her phone to my daughter. I appreciate the attempt at help but with covid blowing up in our area I was bothered by this immensely. We ordered, while my family went to wash hands and I was told that my order, the beef eggs Benedict was only available until 2. Very odd since it says this nowhere including the commercials and I had it in Evansville the Friday before at 7PM. I just ordered the regular eggs Benedict and upon my family returning I went to wash up. While I was gone they came to tell my wife that they don't do Benedicts after 2 PM. She asked to speak to the manager as this was not posted anywhere, when I returned she had came out from the kitchen and explained that this was how it was. I said no, I just did this 5 days ago. Oh, it started today and we didn't put signs out or stickers on the menu. I told her that was not my fault and would appreciate not being treated like it was. The only remaining customer decided to include herself and say I was causing trouble from the time I walked in. I indicated that if she meant me trying to not left my child and for that matter her infant have to hear profanity yes. I don't put up with that, it is rude and I won't tolerate it. Besides the manager should be doing that, not me. The manager informed me that she IS NOT ALLOWED to ask a customer or her employees to act respectable. At this point she took her name badge off so I couldn't get her name. I informed her I ran a business, in fact have run 11 of them and sold them all for profit before this one . I give customers one shot, after that I inform that I will have to asked them to leave if this continues. Again she told me her company policies did not allow this. She was cooking and could not hear it anyway. Wait, your manager is cooking and not supervising employees??? The customer then Indicated I was meta from the time I came in, that my daughter would hear that language at school or with friends. She is home schooled, her friends are not allowed to behave like that from their parents. I am appalled that this is how my family treated. You could smack me in the face and it would bother me less. This is my child, Being treated in a demeaning manner by a group of people because I don't wish for her to hear the F bomb. All employees hanging out talking and goofing off except the manager is in the back cooking, for no one as there were no people waiting for food when I arrived. Trash thrown on the men's room floor in under the urinal that had overflowed. 3 unclear tables of food just sitting, nobody bussing them or wiping them down. It won't matter, the manager told me she would dispute this, the customer said she would post something to contradict me. I hope as I reach out to district manager and cooperate something is done. I don't believe it will so please don't take your children to this place where the workers are behaving like trash, the customers encourage it and the manager says she can't do anything about it. The manager of this location is doing a disservice to his staff. One poor girl at the door was doing the job of at least two people, causing long waits both to be seated and to pay. One couple walked in and went directly to a table even though others were waiting. Another couple was almost seated by a waitress who did not check to see who was next to be seated. We could have been seated immediately; there were open tables. Instead we weren't seated for 24 minutes. The walking in experience was chaos. The waitresses were working hard but In the middle of rush it was ten minutes to get a cup of coffee because they didn't have any brewed. People seated and ordered after us got their food before us. Makes me think there is a lack of order in the kitchen. My order came out wrong and took forever to get corrected. My family was done eating by the time I got my pancakes. Oh and my daughter had a piece of plastic in her biscuits and gravy. Ultimately the people were working hard but need more structure and defined roles. read more

A little breakfast on a chilly November morning with my son and grandson. I think they did away with the hostess. Plenty of folks waiting to pay and leave as we were waiting to be seated. Apparently before 6:00 A.M. Is not the time to come. I can't think of a staff less inviting. I'm not sure my waitress every said anything to me after "what do you want to drink?" Love the Ultimate Skillet and my daughter always enjoys her Jr. Grand Slam. The service is the bare minimum, they will come back to check once for water and coffee refills, but usually don't come back after they drop of the food. The food is pretty good though, I love breakfast! read more

I like Denny's food....when it is made correctly. Which is very rare for me. Once I ordered the bacon cheese fries and received them with shredded cheese thrown on top instead of their delicious cheese sauce. They never cook my boyfriend's eggs correctly. I ordered my child the chocolate chip pancake kids meal, which I assumed came with mini pancakes from looking at the picture on the menu. What we received were three huge pancakes full of so many chocolate chips he was an awful mess from the few bites we got him to eat. He didn't even want to eat them and he usually loves pancakes. But nothing beats the time I ordered an omelet and specified no peppers & onions. The first one came with peppers and onions. The replacement was so oily I could literally pour the oil off my plate. Which I had to do as I was starving at this point. I also think the prices have gone up way too much and the quality is definitely not worth the money. I don't believe in any of the times I have had something wrong with my order they have ever offered to take anything off the bill. Just gave me a 10% discount, which does not amount to much. My husband and I just left and it was the WORST experience we've had. The servers were limited to only 2 girls which one was being trained. The service we received from our waitress was very pleasant even though she had a lot of questions from her trainer. We are waiting for our food when we hear obscenities from one of the cooks behind the service window yelling at the trainer. This was beyond uncomfortable and completely degrading towards this girl. Long story short, the cook who was very rude and unprofessional was the MANAGER on duty. We even witnessed this poor girl run out of the restaurant bawling her eyes out from the way he was treating her. I'm BEYOND disgusted by this. The manager took NO care of attitude towards his staff or his dine in customers. This poor girl was trying her best to stay composed even after we asked if she was ok during check out. This is the worst Denny's I've ever been to. We waited over an hour for our food. (There were only 5 tables filled at the time, so not crowded) we ordered a nacho appetizer, they are spicy. I asked for refills for my kids, we never got them. When we got our food, I again asked for refills, this time for everyone. Still didn't get them. I even asked a manager that was walking around for refills and all she did was go tell our waiter, who still never brought them. Our food was cold when we got it. When we paid I asked for a discount and told them they were lucky I was paying anything. They did take off the appetizer, but clearly didn't feel they should as rude as they were about it. read more
