Great handicapped parking options. The table in the booths is quite tight on my belly and the tables don't move. The second time I went here I asked if there were any booths that were deeper and he moved me over to the section behind the register where the tables have benches on one side and chairs on the other and the tables move. Thanks!! The first time I dined here got the old "IOnly One?" from the hostess, really? Being a single diner I get this a lot and it bothers me each and every time. Do better!! However, they did seat me at a 4-person table rather than one of the two-seaters, I appreciated the extra space. I ordered breakfast. They had a great deal for $9.99 french toast, bacon and eggs. I also ordered an iced mocha. I don't know how, but somehow the brioche bread of the french toast tasted like pancakes to me. I don't like pancakes. The bacon was as thin as possible but cooked nicely. The mocha was a bit too coffee-flavored, more chocolate would have made it better. The eggs were broken over hard but somehow they managed to make them rubbery. The next time I dined here I ordered the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and corn, just like in the menu picture!! I got butter on the side for the corn and I ordered a green salad but needed more dressing for the salad. I really love that I can get a crunchy salad at Denny's. They were pretty quick on the soda refills. The side of bread was yummy, cooked and seasoned just right. One thing I noticed is that they have a new menu and some of the great deals are gone. I used to get a good cheeseburger deal, no more. I guess inflation. I will definitely come here again, now I know to ask for a seat in the other section so my belly doesn't touch the table!! read more

Located right off the 101 FWY off 4th St exit with plenty of parking. Approximately 1 mile from Downtown. I placed an order online and picked up. My food was ready at the time promised regardless of how busy the restaurant was. I ordered their 'Cinnamon Roll Pancakes' with a coffee'. My food was hot and fresh, and tasted amazing with that authentic Denny's flavor. The restaurant was clean and organized. It's always a great feeling seeing a Denny's as they're open 24 hrs. This was the last resort for a meal as everything in Pismo basically closes by 9pm. There's plenty of parking which is always a good thing. It didn't take long to get a table. Ian, I believe that was his name was our server. Very friendly and sweet. Seemed like he was the only one working both section tonight. Maybe there was other staff but it looked like he was the one doing everything. Normally if I'm here it always tends to be breakfast as a meal. Regardless day or night. It's been a long time since I was in Denny's so menu may have some new items. I'm not quite sure. Breakfast still looked pretty much the same though. Went with the lumberjack meal and an add on of the red white and blue pancakes. Blueberry pancakes with strawberries and icing. Breakfast, hash browns were a little too crunchy. Scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon and ham steak was all pretty decent. Also build our own omelette with a side of fruit. Both meal came with toast which was a little overdone. Overall, it did the trick. Can't really expect too much. Service was good, Ian took good care of us even though he was pretty busy. Still managed to come and check up on us and refilled drinks. I don't know if it was a manger or what, but when I asked him for the check he seemed a bit standoff. Like it wasn't his job. But did ended up getting it for us. Besides that, it was ok. read more

Me and my family came in around 9am am we completely understand waiting we are a party of 6 so waiting for a table Is normal for us. Mind you the place only had 3 tables being served. We got seated ans had to wait for 30 minutes to put in our drink order we ordered just normal drink soda and sweet teas to drink mind you it was 4 kid drinks. After waiting another 30 for the drinks to come to the table we noticed one of the kid drink didn't come to the table we informed the waiter we were missing one of the kids drink after 15 more mins we got the last kid drink then once he brought the last kid drink we placed our food order in. We got stright off the menu no modifications 4 kids meal and two adult meals and waited 1 hour no one came to give refills now the table that sat down 5 minutes before us who was the same size party had all ready gotten there food we're getting refills and being checked on often not my party after waiting for so long with no information on our food or anything we got up and went to the front to pay for our drinks then the server comes running saying it will be a few more minutes we said no thank you we are tired of waiting and not being told anything. The manager came over and asked what was going on and we explained everything. And the managers said we didn't need to pay for our drink. read more

So It is Xmas 2024, me and my mom need a vacation. It is almost becoming a tradition now that me and her doing road trips together at least one a year. We are back to Pismo Beach. Our experience from last year was great, so here we are. This time, we decided to go easy on the food. We picked Denny's as our main dining option. We know the menu quite well and the pricing is fine. We had dinner for 2 nights here and had good experience for both times. Our waiter, Bryan, was quick, friendly and attentive. Our food was good. Dining area are well kept. I like it here at bit better because it has some old school feel. All the newly built Denny's in our area doesnt offer the same feeling. It's Denny's! Not "The Meltdown"!!! I'm out of town, 10pm, decide to DoorDash, find some good looking food, order online through DoorDash. It doesn't give me options to add ketchup and ranch, so I click on pick it up. Click on the app map and off I go. Here's the big problem. I'm looking for a restaurant called "The Meltdown" that's who I ordered from, that's who I paid online. I followed the map 2 miles down the road and I end up at Denny's. I think the map Must be wrong. Denny's is definitely Denny's not a place called The Meltdown". I stop at the gas station next door, ask the guy if he knows of "The Meltdown" he says it's probably further down the road where the nice restaurants are. I drive over there, looking around, not here either. Long story short, I go back to Denny's and ask if they have heard of a place called The Meltdown. She says sure that's us, we also go by ??? Burrito and The Burger Den and some other place. WTF??????? Why???????? Now I'm 20 min late to pick up my cold food that's supposed to be hot and I'm pissed off! AYFKM???? The food was of course terrible! The ambiance is disturbing. Looked like it hasn't been cleaned in years. Crack heads outside with vicious pit bulls and no leashes. It's a mess. Most of the time the service is MIA. Never checks on our coffee or waters to bring refills. We almost always go for breakfast in the morning about 730am and it is never busy, so the lack of service is really bad. Sometimes the order is wrong but we are afraid to say anything in fear of what they will do to it. Homeless are all around the place and you can tell the owners are struggling to keep the place clean from trash and drug paraphernalia in the parking lot. The restrooms are beat up. The whole building is showing it's age, from the parking lot to the booths. Everything is old and used up. The register even is 30 years old and they do not seem to care about the place any longer. read more

Music has been terrible the last 2 times we've gone for breakfast. On Monday the 8th of December received the 55+ Starter, over easy eggs had to send back they were hard, toast wasn't toasted, has browns were cold. I always get the same thing and was so disappointed. read more

My earlier comment was removed. I have since downgraded my opinion of this location. The General manager, Beatrice, and her wait staff are horrible. Listening to them disparage customers by talking about them behind their back within hearing distance of me and other customers is so unprofessional. I couldn't get their attention for more coffee whilst they chatted away behind the counter. The night manager, however, is very nice and professional. It seems the only customers who keep this location going are the take-out or delivery orders. The chefs are also not to blame for this downgrade. I might add that a lot of cops patrol their parking lot and I suspect there could be drug deals taking place outside which isn't safe. Hope my review doesn't get removed again. read more

Hello Dennys, my first visit to this location. It's 5am, I'm waiting for a ride at 7, I have my sunglasses on and it's dark out. So WoW, Dennys has a "new" bacon, it's like real bacon. Not the pre cooked, paper thin, prefab strips of the past. Yea! So I have a long ride today and I'm goin' for the breakfast this morning. Denver Omelet, no hashers fruit. The fruit was fresh seasonal and plentiful. The bacon side order made it on the check too. This really was an exceptional breakfast something the foodguy would never say about Denny's but hey thats where the credit was due today. FOOD: I ordered the brisket Mac n cheese and I was warned by the server that the Mac n cheese does tend to be on the saltier side and it was but the brisket was decent. I still enjoyed it. I also tried their cinnamon sugar pancake puppies and they were SO SO good! Highly recommend. I got the berry stuffed French toast to go for my mom and it did not disappoint. The sweet cream cold brew was good too. SERVICE: The server was super sweet. She was welcoming and kept checking in. I stayed longer to do some homework in one of the booths and I was reassured it was okay to stay as long as I obviously ordered something lol. The other servers were nice and friendly as well. They checked on me when my original server went on break. Great service during my visit. AMBIANCE: Regular corporate diner/resto. Well lit and this location was neat and clean. It was quiet when I first came in a little past 6 pm on a Tuesday night. Then come after an hour a huge group from either a church or school meeting came in and it got really loud but not rowdy. You just really never know what kind of crowd you can find during your visit. It can be really quiet and just you as the customer for an hour or two then all of a sudden a group of 30 or more the next lol. Otherwise, there were plenty of tables to accommodate big parties. For a Tuesday night it was pretty busy but the servers that were on that night kept their composure and were professional and accommodating with customer's requests. Everything was wonderful. The staff was very attentive and the food amazing. Plenty of seating and a big parking lot for our big vehicles.

First of all, The fact that Dennys remains open past 10:00 pm is a big plus for Us. Other eating establishments in the area tend to close up early, and seem to create an uncomfortable atmosphere, for coming through the doors 20 minutes before closing. Not our Pismo Dennys..... The minute you cruise through those doors you are graciously met with open arms and smiles. The staff is polite and the service is fantastic. Our server, I think her name was Victoria, had us in stitches . Prompt service, excellent food and the atmosphere the new management, "Marisa" brings to the table will keep us coming back to Denny's, again and again. I go to Denny's regularly, but I usually get the values slam good price. I think it's four or 5.99 for two eggs two pieces of bacon or sausage and two pancakes sometimes I don't get the pancakes. I just leave those off but it's a good value I decided to treat myself. They said they had eggs Benedict so I ordered those. They were 13.59 or something. when they arrived, I knew the sauce looked very orange like it was a cheddar cheese sauce when I tasted it that's exactly what it was. It was not a hollandaise by any stretch of the imagination to scrape it off as much as possible, but I will never order that again. It was terrible, don't order it. I asked him if they made mistake and put like a cheese on instead of their holiday and they said no that's the sauce for the eggs Benedict. I was so disappointed 17.50 with the tip. read more

Got there about 4:30 AM and greeted by a nice waitress. She sat me down and offered something to drink, I asked for some coffee so she got me a full pot and a glass of water. I went ahead and ordered the Mile High Denver Omelet with country fried potatoes but probably deep fried diced potatoes which was still good. And also ordered rye toast. All this was pretty good, no complaints, the associate came to my table a few times to check on me. Sure glad they were there, Dennys always saves the day. read more

I went to Dennus Pismo Beach, and I can say it is one of the cleanest and descent towns Ive been to. The food was great, and though it was super busy our experience here was great. We were a big party, and our server Manny gave us a quick and fantastic service. He was very kind, with a big smile all the time, and he was very attentive with all our needs. Also, I believe she is the manager, Marissa. It seems everybody loves her, also very hardworking lady helping her servers and making sure all customers were happy. 5 stars. To my surprise, a Christmas dinner at Denny's was where I found myself. Even though my past experiences with Denny have been mixed, I went in hoping for the best. For it being Christmas, the staff were not too rushed and very kind. We got seated quickly, and even though it was packed with people, both waiting for seats and eating, we got our food after only a few minutes of waiting.
