We had a fun weekend lunch here. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance is great![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The servers were pretty busy. The spanakopita was okay and felt reheated and not crispy, but the breakfast choices I saw coming out looked better. It's a fun place to come for the experience!

I don't normally give 5 stars but this place was amazing! [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's very cute and unique as the restaurant is from a train.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The servers were very attentive and the food is delicious. We got the corned beef hash and the beef rib. Would definitely stop by again whenever passing through.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Cool vibe inside - retro and fun.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Nice, friendly service. Food was fresh and good ! Salsa wash fresh and breakfast burrito was not greasy totally fresh and delicious! We met the owner on the way out and my husband congratulated him on how nice the experience was for us. We will be back !!!

Was back in my hometown for my besties wedding & [[HIGHLIGHT]]decided to catch lunch together at a place with a really trendy aesthetic.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We happened to be served by one of the owners and she brought us a truly incredible on the house dessert to celebrate. The menu has so many interesting options that more or less covers the local cultures cuisine and the signature drinks are super fun.

I've driven past this establishment a few times and made it a point to return, so I did. Arriving at noon on a Saturday was dicey but to my surprise it wasn't busy...yet, being seated was a snap and coffee was soon at my table along with two different menus one for food and the other for drinks. Once more I find myself at the coast and a desire of seafood came over me much like a wave on a sandy beach, with my bifocal sunglasses on (sigh) I navigated the menu and settled in on a crab melt with a side of fries and a cup of clam chowder. The first wave of food came in the form of the ever popular cup of chowder and I must say they didn't scrimp on the clams, with a few oyster crackers sprinkled on top I soon began my journey through the sea to the island of Yum. The voyage with filled with beautiful scenery as I was finishing my creamy cup-o-chowder the server delivered the crab melt that I was anticipating while enjoying every spoonful of chowder, with a side of ranch dressing and a squirt of ketchup I paddled through a few French fries before tackling the melt and as a lover of garlic the first bite was as if I found a treasure of flavor. By now the restaurant was filling up with new passengers and it seemed my timing was perfect and my voyage was about to end I must say the experience was worth the travel from Fresno and the drive back was a bit more pleasant with the memories of an excursion to an iconic restaurant on the coast

On the way to another place and saw this cute diner. We were greeted nicely and our waitress was friendly. Ordered shrimp and chips. Replaced fries for a salad. Shrimp had too much breading and were small in size. Almost bay shrimp size. Also ordered clam chowder in bread bowl. Bowl was smaller than a typical bread bowl. They also butter the top. The clam chowder was average at best. The buttered top was tasty but caused indigestion for the next few hours. $40 for the above, 2 waters and a cup of soup. Seems okay for price although really only one entree and no drinks. Glad to have checked it out but won't return. If you go order the Greek food. Advise from a local after-the-fact

Riquisimo good food , good service , good ambiance and more ! Of course, I'm not gonna lie over. Everything was epic and nice. Thank you so much.

Spanish Salmon plate . Very good

I recommend trying this place at least once if you are in the area. The service was top notch and employees were super attentive, friendly and kind. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere was fun, as the diner is made of two train cars.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restroom was super clean, too.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food portions were generous. I had the Spanish Salmon. Lots of food and the salmons was cooked just right.

The server offered up some of their homemade green salsa from the back, which packed a major punch (and I say this as a spicy-seeker). Overall, the name of this dish was 100% spot on as it was messy as hell. It was a super generous serving and definitely covered two meals for me, which was impressive. It also came with a choice of more-different-carb, so I opted for a biscuit. It was surprisingly crispy on the outside and made for a nice contrast-y dessert bite when topped with their homemade jam. I recommend checking the spot out, and try to nab a seat outside.

The waitresses were nice and friendly. I got the monte cristo and it came with homemade jam which was delicious. The sandwich was great and had lots of cheese. My husband got the eggs benedict and the eggs were overcooked but wasn't a huge deal for him. It came on a biscuit bed instead of english muffin which he liked. The potatoes were also different and good. It came with a homemade spicy salsa and it was BOMB. Highly recommend getting the salsa. Overall, there's a lot of brunch spots in the area but I thought this was a nice spot. Personally wouldn't think it's worth a wait but it was nice popping in on a weekday for brunch. Seems like a bunch of locals come by. Would recommend this spot for some good brunch and a good lunch menu!

Rarely do I walk away from a dining experience where the quality of service and quality of food fight to outshine one another, but this was one of those spots. Our server, a German gentleman, was the consummate professional- always friendly, never overstepping, and added such a warm dimension to our meal. The fried green tomatoes and the white beet appetizers were standouts. I especially loved the vinegary dressing on the greens of the beet dish. For mains, we got the leek olive potato pizza, the ribeye, and the wood fire poached halibut. The avocado chimichurri that accompanied the ribeye was the perfect balance, and the sautéed greens under the fish were savory with the right amount of bite. I also liked their selection of mocktails; the pink pony club was a particular standout. All this for $200 was a better price tag than I was expecting, but most importantly, it got the stamp of approval from my notoriously picky grandmother and uncle. This spot is worth the drive.

The restaurant is located right next to the train station, and they had a dedicated carpark, but it also seemed like street parking was readily available nearby as well. The outdoor dining area was pleasant and had heaters available. Once we arrived, we were seated promptly and brought menus and water. They also kindly brought water for our dog, even without us asking them for it. We shared two appetizers, including the ceviche and tostada. Both were excellent, fresh and full of flavor. For mains, I got the misoyaki butterfish, while my husband had the bouillabaisse. I was jealous that he decided to order this because I don't like ordering the same main as someone else I'm dining with, but the jealousy dissipated once I got the butterfish. It was coated in a sweet teriyaki sauce which it paired wonderfully with, and the texture was pleasant and soft. It was served atop a bed of wild rice and greens. The bouillabaisse was also superb. It's hard to imagine that their other main dishes are better than these two, though I'm sure they're also great. We couldn't go past the lime and coconut creme brulee for dessert. Both of us couldn't get enough of this. Our waitress was very nice and efficient. We had everything we needed and never needed to flag her down for anything. Someone else, perhaps the owner, came out and asked us how our meal was while we were eating which was a nice touch. I'd recommend this as a must-visit if you're in the Pismo Beach area.
