we came here for classic american diner breakfast and definitely got it. everything tasted good but i think it was because everything was drenched in butter. i could smell it right when it landed on the table. my boyfriend tapped out from mushrooms because they were so buttery lol the biscuits were great and fluffy. they are very generous with the portions. a mound of buttery mushrooms! the service was good but ambiance was lacking. it felt like decorations were sorta slapped together and it was quite echoy and loud. but good variety of food available, all buttery

Over easy eggs , sausage , hash browns huge portions

Food at Margie's is prepared just like at home the portions are large folks the pancakes are huge and fluffy. The eggs are huge and made perfectly. The meal was prepared quickly and served hot. Our waitress took our orders perfectly and made suggestions to ensure we got exactly what we wanted. The ambiance is a 50's vibe and the interior decorated to make you feel the 50's feeling simple and real good home style food. So when you're passing through on Hwy 46 and the 101 in Paso stop by and enjoy a delicious home style meal.

I always wanted to have breakfast here. The outside is so cute and appealing as you get into town. The inside is retro-vintage, pretty darn cute with big windows. Coffee is good, smooth, doesn't have the bite of Starbucks, it's more bold and smooth, you can drink it black without making a face. The breakfast burrito is big. Cream of wheat is good but wish there were sliced almonds. The sourdough toast would have been better if it was toasted instead of slightly warmed. It took a long time to get our check, the servers' back was to the dining room for 10 minutes while she filled condiment bottles and waited for an order. Besides that she was a decent server, friendly. Overall, it was good.

Margie's Diner is our go-to breakfast spot in Paso Robles. Every time we're in town, we make a point to eat here because it's always consistent and delicious also the ambiance is great. Service is fast and attentive, the menu has plenty of great options, and the fresh orange juice is a must. Parking is easy too, there's always space available. A great way to start the day.

Visiting Paso for an annual conference and drove by this place by chance. Glad I stopped in! Super friendly staff. Nice chill place to sit and dine. And the food is pretty good as well! The onion rings are a fan favorite and I can see why. They are also HUGE!

Cobb salad. Chicken is always tender and delicious!

Great food always! Portion size is always great. The service is always outstanding. It's a diner atmosphere. Always very clean. We enjoy eating here.

Mimosas were great with the added chamoy and tajin. They have different flavors like mango and guava. Potatoes were nicely seasoned.

Chilaquiles with eggs over easy. Absolutely delicious! I would definitely recommend!

This is one of those hidden gems in Paso. And that is odd because this restaurant hides in plain sight! It's a great place to get breakfast, lunch or, dinner! You always get good service from the staff. They are always friendly and attentive to your needs. It definitely has a 70's to 80's diner vibe but that's a good thing. They make great food. That's the strong selling point for me. And, you can get breakfast all day long too! Try Margie's out. It is a great place!

Always the go to place, you know's gonna be great. Never disappoints. Kinda like a security blanket. It's your comfort food place. The tartar sauce is dill. (As you know a must for me) their bleu cheese is not sweet another must! Last nights fish & chips was the kind you drive to Morro Bay for! & they greet you like they're happy to see you! Always & they are just as friendly throughout your entire stay! Not always that consistent at other places. Totally five star diner food ( breakfast for dinner kinda place!) so if you can't decide between Mexican or Chinese... remember Margie's! The food is great & the people are friendly.

If you you are looking for plenty of good food for the prices these days, this is the place. I ordered the chef salad and half an order of onion rings. Salad was crisp and had a lot of ham and turkey. I could not eat it all. Half an order is 6 huge homemade onion rings, like an inch and a half thick. Batter in them was excellent. I was sad I could only eat 3. Hubby had chilaquiles with scrambled eggs. Again lots of food. Said it was good. Portions are big. Staff was friendly. We would definitely stop here again when in the area.

Margie's is a classic diner attached to a Best Western motel. The classic 60's architecture had us guessing that it used to be a Howard Johnson's back in the day. We had breakfast there 2 days. It was our favorite b'fast place in Paso Robles. The place is super clean, the staff was very friendly. the breakfast selections covered the entire range of breakfast options. Coffee cups were never allowed to get below half full. Our group of four sampled omelets, pancakes, and cinnamon rolls. Everything was tasty and hot. I'm surprised that the Yelp rating isn't nearly as high as the Google rating -- it should be. Maybe Yelpers are breakfast haters?

I was really impressed with the decor and service received at Margie's diner. My wife and I ordered a side of onion rings and the chef salad. The portion sizes are huge. It was enough for both of us to eat and when we got our dessert, an apple pie with ice cream, we were already full but we still ate it LOL

Will they be busy at 7:15-7:30 on a Friday morning? We need to leave by 8:10.

They are busy only if there's an event going on at the fairgrounds. If no event, you're fine. 1/2hr-45min is pushing it though. I'd get there at 7am and let them know when…

She wasn't serving anyone but had her back turned to us while she was doing paperwork. Menu- lots of choices with breakfast such as omelette, burgers for lunch. I got the Jose Burger with fries- burger with bacon, grilled onions, Ortega chili and American cheese. It was a pretty meaty burger. Had pickles, lettuce and tomato and lathered with mayo. Had to request mustard and ketchup. Burger was impressively good. Fries were thin and fried. Kinda remind me of shoestring fries. Burger - 5 stars, fries 3 stars Niece had California burger and wife had country griddle with sunny side eggs. Overall, not the greatest location. We ordered the veggie omelet, veggie scrambled eggs, pancakes, French toast, and the kids pancake with bacon. Each entrée came with a choice of toast or an English muffin. One thing that really stood out was that, without us even asking, the staff split the dishes onto separate plates for everyone at the table. It was such a thoughtful gesture and made sharing so much easier. The veggie scrambled eggs were loaded with fresh vegetables, and the salsa added a great burst of flavor. I personally preferred the hash browns, they were perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The breakfast potatoes were also good, and the rest of my family actually liked those more. The pancake was huge and fluffy, and the French toast was finished with a dusting of powdered sugar. The kids pancake came in the shape of Mickey Mouse, which absolutely made my son's day. Everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and made with quality ingredients. Between the exceptional service and delicious food, this has become my favorite breakfast spot whenever I travel to the South. Before we get into the meat & potatoes of this review, let me get something off my chest…read more I am ONE HUNDRED PERCENT not anywhere close to being a Cowboy, but I'll be damned if watching shows like Yellowstone on Paramount+ make me think twice about my life choices. I mean... Riding a horse on the open plains.... Wearing Levi jeans, a flannel shirt, with a big cowboy hat, a pair of cowboy boots, and rocking that big belt buckle sounds pretty cool to me. But being a Cowboy or a Cowgirl for that matter is more than just the catchy attire, it's a Lifestyle! Rooted in hard physical labor, long days, loyalty, deep respect and responsibility for the land and herding cattle are just some of the core values and responsibilities of being a true Cowboy/Cowgirl. Hell, I might not be a Cowboy, Yet... But I sure do respect the Lifestyle they live and for now, you can find me on the sidelines rocking out to my favorite country and Western artists: Morgan Wallen, George Straight, Garth Brooks and of course my Girls Reba, Lainey Wilson and Carrie Underwood. Heck, All I need now is my Cowboy Hat & Boots, Well, I suppose I should get a horse too ;) ------------------------ Now, Saddle up Partner, let's get this review on the road. All served with that hometown, local hospitality from our server who waited on us... You know, just like a cowboy, I tipped my hat to her and tipped her very well for her excellent service. As mentioned earlier.... The Cowgirl Cafe is open from 6am-2pm daily, so for you early risers who live the Cowboy life of waking up before the Sunrise, a hot meal will waiting for you. But don't fret if you are new to this Cowboy/Cowgirl rise and shine, get the day started off early business... Cause they serve breakfast up until 2pm (or until the cows come home). YeeHaw!!!
