The restaurant has a great vibe overall, especially if you're looking for an outdoor brunch. (Have not been inside) I ordered the steak chilaquiles, and I'd give them a 8.5/10. The flavors were really good, the sauce was delicious, and I liked the addition of the eggs, avocado, and queso. My only complaint was the steak. I ordered it medium rare, but it came out medium well, a bit dry and was tougher than expected, making it difficult to cut. It was still tasty--just not cooked quite the way I was hoping. The mimosas were good too, a great value. Nothing that really stood out as amazing, but definitely nothing bad about them either--they got the job done. What really elevated the experience was the service. Our server Rebecca was attentive, knowledgeable, kind, and incredibly quick throughout the meal. They checked in at the right times, answered our questions confidently, and made us feel well taken care of without ever being overbearing. Hey there party People Decided to venture into Willow Glen today on the hunt for something new to try. Boy howdy did we hit the Mother Load with "The Table". We hit the Brunch hour and the place was rocking. We were able to sit right down amazingly. There is a fabulous patio to people watch and enjoy the California weather. Our server Charles was really great. He walked us through the menu giving us the 911 on watch to order. Most of the plates were perfect shareable bites. Making it easy to try multiple plates and really get your inner Foodie on. We started with the Seasonal Banana Pancakes with crushed walnuts and cinnamon maple syrup. Inside the pancakes were fresh bananas and the walnuts were crushed very small but added a great texture. Moving on to the Chicago Steak sandwich don't get confused but in Chicago they refer to Roast Beef as steak. The Au Jus dip was very flavorful without being a salt bomb. Loved the potato roll they used all round a killer sandwich. Going a little outside the box we tried the Jerk Chicken Sandwich. The pineapple slaw with this amazing peppery chutney type sauce played so well with the acid of the pineapple. Another must have sandwich. I ask you how can you go to a new restaurant and not have some dessert. With everything else being so good our expectations were pretty high and we were not disappointed. The Table was a really big miss for me. The outside of the restaurant was very cute, and the inside had nice vibes. From the start, the waitstaff was standoffish and not very friendly. When we were seated, we were given a list of items that were not available. I originally wanted to try the pancakes but ended up ordering the chicken sandwich instead. This was genuinely one of the worst chicken sandwiches I have ever had. It was extremely gristly, fatty, and made with dark meat, which felt like an odd choice for a chicken sandwich. I'm not sure why this cut of chicken was used. The fries were alright, but they did not come with the sandwich and cost an additional $5. Our total came to almost $90 for three entrees with no beverages. I was especially frustrated because my sandwich was inedible. Located right across from a rooftop garage it was very convenient, and they were easily able to accommodate our table of 6. We chose to sit outdoors since we had a dog with us and they had heating lamps which kept the temperature nice and cozy. Our waitress was great, cracking jokes and taking photos of us on request. The food itself was good and came out pretty quick. We ordered the scallop risotto and their burger (real name much longer). The scallop risotto was delicious. Very creamy and hearty with the scallops having a nice flavor and chew. The burger was also pretty good, very filling as well. My friends and I came here for dinner on a Sunday evening. We made reservations and were seated upon arrival. I have gone to the Table many times, and I'm surprised I haven't made a review yet. Brunch is normally when I go, which is walk-ins only I believe. This was my first time going for dinner. Food: I shared a few different items with one of my friends. Cheese Board - This was good. For how much it was though, I wish I had more cheese. Beets - The portion was a little funny to share, but it was good. Brussel Leaves - Who can say no to crispy brussels?? I certainly cannot. Roasted Carrots - They were cooked to perfection. Ricotta Beignets - These were good. Texture is closer to donuts than to fluffy beignets. Chocolate Cake - Standard, but a good one! Hey! if you're looking for one of the best brunch spots in Willow Glen, The Table on Willow St is a must. The place is incredibly bright, welcoming, and has a great energy that perfectly matches a Sunday morning. Just a heads-up y'all it gets incredibly busy and they don't take reservations for small groups. We showed up for Sunday brunch and had a solid 40-minute wait. My advice is to get there as early as possible, or be prepared to hang out for a bit it's popular for a reason! We also got lucky on finding parking near the front. Once we were seated, the food came out and absolutely made up for the wait. We got the Roasted Bone Marrow which was rich, buttery, and cooked to perfection. A total standout on the menu. Ooh! I never had Duck Liver Mousse before and it was super smooth and savory. It's the perfect starter to share. I had to order the Eggs Benedict & Pancakes. Both were solid classics. The Benedict was fresh with a great hollandaise, and the pancakes were fluffy and delicious. The tableside ricotta lemon spread with the fresh baked bread was so good. I had really good cocktails and I like that they had on Monday night football and they had other sports on the other tv to keep me entertained. My food was really good. The menu is very kind of random during dinner time and it may have more options for brunch and lunch. I did did enjoy their specials for the day and they did have some good options. Some of their portions are really small so you may need to order a few things- keep that in mind and ask about the size of the dish you're ordering to be sure. Otherwise you will leave hungry. We sat at the bar and ordered a couple of cold brews while we waited, and after about 15 minutes, we checked back in with the hostess to see if there had been any updates. The hostess told us that she'd been trying to call us and was about to give our table away because she couldn't reach anyone - it turns out that the restaurant's phone service wasn't working, so none of their calls were going through (??). Fortunately, a table for two had just opened up on the patio. Service improved once we were seated - we placed our orders and received our food within 15-20 minutes, and our waitress kept our water glasses replenished (it was quite hot outside). My friend and I both ordered the fried chicken sandwich, which had a nice crispiness to the chicken and subtle heat from the Sriracha honey glaze. The chicken was tender but on the fattier side, and I wish the sandwich was served with more of the sweet and spicy sauce. The food and drinks are definitely on the pricier side - the cold brew, while refreshing, was shockingly more expensive than some of the cocktails on the menu. Instead, we had a wonderful dining experience made extra special by our stellar server, Patty. I let her know that it was our first time dining there and she masterfully described so many of her favorites. I've realized that I'm not a very good yelper. Too often I attack my dishes before I realize I should've taken a pic. I did that 3 times during this dinner. I withheld a 5th star for a few minor reasons: *Even though the dining room wasn't full it's pretty noisy. *As mentioned in other reviews the credit card surcharge was a surprise and off putting. I didn't realize there was a surcharge until I received the credit card slip because I missed seeing it referenced on the itemized receipt (it's there, I just didn't read the fine print) *the bread and olive oil that's served at the beginning of the meal was delicious but any additional servings are an additional charge. I realize this isn't Olive Garden but at these prices you want to charge for extra bread? I get it - the restaurant business is tough. But maybe bump your prices 2% and ditch the credit card surcharge and extra charge for bread? *the bathroom needs to be maintained better. read more

Love this spot for dinner AND brunch. We have been here for brunch a couple of times but we wanted to see what dinner would be like and we were not disappointed! Food was delicious and service by Ryan was so warm and friendly. He took care of my food allergies and made great recommendations for our drink for the evening: Santa's Nightcap (from the holiday menu) - a spiced cider with bourbon topped with candied ginger. Appetizer: Roasted Beets with goat cheese, dill, shaved fennel A bright appetizer to start off with! There was a generous serving of goat cheese spread on the plate, with several colored beets on the plate, topped with dill and shaved fennel. But what really brightened the dish was the tangerine oil that dressed the whole plate. It was a perfect compliment to the tanginess of the goat cheese and the refreshing bite of the dill. Entree 1: Pot Roast Nicely braised, tender, flavorful, and topped off with a nice horseradish sauce that gave the meat a refreshing zing. Artichoke puree was a unique and enjoyable take on mashed potatoes (what is usually paired with pot roast). The roasted vegetables on the side were perfectly done. Entree 2: Chicken potpie and Biscuits A cozy dinner option with the cold weather. It's more like a deconstructed chicken potpie where the crust is replaced with four house-made biscuit "dumplings" in the potpie sauce. The biscuits stayed nice and crumbly without getting soggy. There was plenty of juicy chicken pieces to pair with every bite of biscuit -- I never felt like the dish had too little filling, meat, or veggies. I always got a perfectly balanced bite of everything. The crowd is more "adult" than brunch, not too many families but more people on a casual date night or having a fun group dinner. That could be due to timing of dinner (about 8pm) or that we were out on a Friday night. We ordered a variety of dishes from the menu and enjoyed them all. From the starter bread--soft and perfectly balanced with cream cheese and olive oil--to the chicken liver mousse, where the mustard fruit added a refreshing touch, and the seafood pasta with squid ink noodles, which had great texture and abundant seafood (prawn, mussel, scallops, calamari). We were excited to check out The Table as we have tried several restaurants in downtown Willow Glen but not The Table. It's always so busy and have friends who rave about it. We decided to make a reservation for Christmas Eve so that we could do our annual Willow Glen Holiday Lights. When we arrived at 5, we got seated at a table right by the door and right by the hostess stand. The dining room was almost empty. The couple before us did not have a reservation but somehow were able to get the best table in the room. 4 person table right in a private corner. We, who had made reservations a week in advance, were seated in a two person shitty spot that had everyone either walking past our table or standing by us. Our waiter was great. We had no problems with service. And the ambiance was nice. The pacing of our food was perfect. The bread with the whipped ricotta was very good. Why don't we always have whipped ricotta instead of butter? The ricotta needed some salt though. The carrot salad was kind of underwhelming to me. If you got everything on one bite, it was tasty. But I was disappointed. I was going to get the bolognese as my friend recommended but they mentioned salmon as a special and I can't say no to salmon. When it arrived, I first thought the salmon was cooked well. I noticed the skin wasn't really crispy but I started eating it. It had no flavor but the texture was okay. The soubise was odd--very sweet. As I ate the salmon, I started realizing it wasn't cooked--basically raw. But at that point, I had eaten more than half of the salmon so I didn't want to complain. I was hoping the waiter would notice when he picked up my plate but I guess not. Overall, I was unimpressed with The Table. I found all of the food to be very bland. I eat a lot of salmon at restaurants and I've never had one that was so undercooked that I couldn't finish it. Will we return to try their brunch menu? I doubt it. read more

When I think of brunch, I immediately think of an eggs benedict with some smoked salmon. However after looking at the menu, I was intrigued by the many options available! What we ordered: Fried Chicken Steak: (Rating: 4/5) The panko crust was absolutely crispy on the outside and the chicken was very juicy. The sauce was delicious and it tasted similar to a baked potato soup! The dish itself was stunning, however, I'd prefer the sauce on the side in the future to prevent a soggy crust. Corned Beef Hash: (Rating: 4/5) The corned beef was tender and well seasoned. The potatoes were fork tender as well which was delightful paired together with the runny egg! Tuna Sandwich: (Rating: 4/5) You could never go wrong with a classic tuna sandwich. The tuna salad itself was packed with flavor and veggies which I love. It wasn't overly creamy nor dry which is a plus! Overall, this is a wonderful spot for brunch and I would definitely dine here again! read more

Came here on a saturday for bunch with no reservations around 11 and got seated right away on the patio. Was worried we wouldn't get seated bc it's brunch on the weekend but so happy we did. Service is ok, took a bit to get our order in and for refills since we couldn't find our server half the time. Food is yummy tho! Is it worth the wait mmm yes and no, if you have friends to talk and yap it up it's totally fine but I was hungry and it felt like a bit before getting our food even with being able to chat with friends. Got the corn beef hash and it was yummy but comes with so many potatoes. Wish there was more meat too. It's a fun spot to go for brunch and def get a reservation for a bigger party. parking is tough but found spots in the back parking lot! read more

I like this spot for weekend date night- the outdoor patio is super cute and the service is great. Their bread is SO GOOD; my only beef is that they only come around once with it- it's so good you'll def want more. I had the NA froze which is not recommend- it was tart and not very tasty, but I love that they have NA options. The scallops and the seafood pasta were both incredible; cooked to perfection. We did call for a reservation, which they didnt have a record of but they sat us anyway- would recommend using open table instead. read more

Great, friendly service, but bland food. Visited with a friend on a Saturday night and was able to get sat immediately on the heated patio. Service all around was very friendly and hospitable. After ordering we were served warm bread with some sort of clotted cream for spread. To drink I ordered the Last Monk and the special, salmon on a bed of kale and carrots along with polenta. The drink was nice and fruity, very refreshing. The entree itself was extremely bland, the only flavor was from the white sauce coating the veggies. Note about my friends dish, the pork chop- it was served with apple sauce, but its more like warm apple chunks, not saucy at all. Location is great and there is plenty of seating for larger groups. IMO none of the dishes on the menu stood out and sound particularly interesting. read more

everything went well the food and the service was outstanding The staff was extremely friendly and very accommodating The food was prepared to perfection I had the duck and it was outstanding. We also started with the asparagus salad and the warm Caesar salad delicious.!!!! They have a full Bar my martini was ice cold just like I like it!!!! read more
