Good, mediocre food when you just need somewhere to sit. Everything tasted quite average and cold, but the server was really nice and sweet. The pancakes were a little tough and cold but the butter on top was nice. It was cool just eating it with maple syrup but it wasn't the most tastiest. The bacon and egg combo was also alright. It was also a bit cold but it was enough. The plate my brother got tasted ok but the fruit salad had strange composition. Overall it was a very average experience. I also ordered a tea and it was nice drinking it and sitting there. Our waitress was really cool though. The total came out to be around 50 bucks for two plates of food and two drinks + taxes/tip. Just wanted to take my time of day to come here and rant a little about my dining experience here at this specific Dennys location. To start off the wait time during the week are not as long as the Weekend's and the servers working here are all nice and very attentive, as well as the manager Christian he's a very nice gentleman and has a great personality/customer service. The food was excellent nice and hot and I was able to make any substitutions I wanted on my Alaska salmon bc I would rather have the healthier options and i appreciate that they did not turn me down. When it comes to the ambience/the place itself it's pretty good tbh the place is kept nice and tidy and all tables are cleaned right after someone leaves. There are no unwanted interactions and definitely no homeless walking inside the building. Bathrooms are kept nice and clean and if for any particular reason they're not you can just let the manager know and something will be done. Don't hesitate to stop by this iconic Dennys location where Nvidia was founded and later became to be a trillion-dollar company. read more

Getting seated is an adventure. It always takes at least five minutes even when there are plenty of tables available. The reason is that this Dennys is always understaffed. You have one, maybe two servers running themselves into the ground, trying to keep up with all the tables they have. The service is decent though, the servers are friendly and helpful but everything takes a long time so don't come here if you're in a rush. The food is standard Dennys fare, diner food that is a step below a mom and pop operation but good enough. We came here on New Year's Day and we were very pleased with our experience at this location. The servers were so friendly here and ensured that we received everything we ordered. One of the servers even apologized for the wait but made sure we got seated and placed our order as soon as she came by our table. However, I decided to give this location another try today so I got my birthday month Free Everyday Value Slam for lunch from here. Although it is Friday, there were no wait line, parking was easy, and ordering was straight forward. I waited 12 minutes for my order and was out the door soon after. Looks like they renovated the seats as there are now high partitions in between booths. The taste of the food was as expected and enjoyable from what you would get from Denny's. I usually bring my son here to have breakfast & the staff is really accommodating. I have been occasionally eating dinner at this Berryessa location for about a year. The hispanic waiter that works in the early evening is unfriendly, rude, unwelcoming and extremely slow. I went there this evening around 5:00PM. There were two other tables with customers. We weren't seated for several minutes and we had to request menus. Once seated, we waited for over 10 minutes and this waiter never came to our table to take our order. Again, there were only 2 other tables that had people seated. So, we chose to leave and Denny's lost a sale and a customer. I have decided to never eat at this Denny's again. This waiter must hate his job as evident by his regular poor and unfriendly attitude. I don't know how this person keeps his job because he is clearly the worst waiter I have experience in my life. We haven't been to Denny's in quite some time for dinner but decided to stop at this Denny's due to its convenient location. The menu has changed quite a lot and our server seemed annoyed that we didn't know that our simple requests were not available. Once our order was delivered, he seemed to avoid us, never asking how the food was or if we needed anything else. I had to go to the cash register to await my bill even though he brought checks to other tables. The restaurant was not busy. Only five booths were occupied! My wife's senior salmon was greasy along with dry roasted potatoes. She opted for the side salad which was just okay in content and size compared to previous side salads. She also had to ask for more dressing due to the minuscule amount she was given with the salad! My "melt" was okay. I've had better at other restaurants such as Holder's and Effie's. Our son had the "Grandslam" breakfast which he enjoyed. We will not be patronizing this Denny's but will continue to go to others but just for breakfast not dinner! read more

I use to go to dennys in my early 20s every time in the am after the bars but times haven't changed and dennys hasn't. Just finished having dinner with my best friend and her boyfriend. As we arrived we got seated immediately and everything was fine at the beginning the service was ok and brought everything we asked for. I ordered the Brisket Mac and cheese and honestly this shit was fucking burnt like almost charcoal looking like pieces. The Mac and cheese was not even that good, only took a couple bites and just stopped eating it. As she walked over the the register, she didn't even say hello lol. She cared way more about getting her tip than providing customer service. As soon as se was done putting her tip away, she organized the cash in the register. She then walked over to us and asked "How many?" Without saying hello. I'm laughing as I'm typing because of how rude she presented herself to us. I'm guessing she is racist as she wouldn't give eye contact. As she grabbed the menus, she handed them to us and told us to pick a spot to sit at. I was a little confused as to what was going on, but sure... we will choose our spot. As we walked around the dinning area I noticed there were tables left with previous customer's food and dishes. The empty spots that were available had dirty tables and crumbs on the seats. This is highly unacceptable and disgusting. Pandemic or not, I am positive this is against health regulations. After waiting a while for anyone to wait on us, we saw that same waitress skip us and started helping another family who had just walked in. So, my family decided to leave. Unfortunately, I couldn't get the waitress's name. All I can do is describe what she looks like... An older lady with a light complexion, average height (maybe 5'2), with black colored hair with some white visible hair. She had her hair pulled back in a poly tail and I can't remember if she had bangs that were pulled to the side or not. I'm not pointing her out, so she can get in trouble. I'm doing this review, so something can be done, such as training since common sense is lacking. If we, the customers don't speak out, how will management ever know? With that being said, I hope a hiring manager or supervisor will review this and will look into hiring more staff to provide more customer service and for cleaning since, since it seems no one wants to clean.
