Bloom had a lot of promising sounding options on their menu. Unfortunately, I can't say the experience was everything I had hoped. I was meeting up with folks to have brunch, and they put our names on the list for a table. It was quite the long wait. Once we were seated, service wasn't particularly good. I don't know if it was because we were outside or what, but we had to have someone go inside to ask for more water and to get boxes and the check. The food was pretty decent, but the service issues kind of killed the mood. And if that wasn't enough, they do one of the most irritating things a restaurant can do. They automatically charge gratuity AND they put suggestions for a SECOND tip at the bottom where people are used to seeing helpful calculations for tipping. Feels manipulative. Not cool.
Finally we were able to get in to try Bloom and so happy we did! We arrived just right after they opened and the restaurant was almost full. We were seated immediately. Loved the openness and the space between each tables. FIFA inspired menu was fun. The server was attentive and the food came quickly . Our meals were big portions. The corned beef hash was the best I've ever had! We will definitely be back.
Disclaimer: I ordered takeout Overall, I would say to give this place a try. I ordered the chicken pesto sandwich with no tomato and it came with a pretty decent portion of garlic fries (which I loved because it's lowkey sort of hard to come by good garlic fries these days) as well as a house salad. I feel like what would really take my take out experience from a 3 star to a 5 star review would be if they would have packaged the salad separate from the sandwich and fries. Everything was so flavorful and portioning was good, however, it was hard to enjoy it fully because the salad made the sandwich bread soggy and the entire bottom layer of fry's were also too soggy to enjoy. This is pretty disappointing considering I spent close to $30 on the food here and didn't even receive any sort of service since I took it away. Also I ate the food around 10 to 15 after it being ready and can't imagine if I would have waited any longer how much the quality would've diminished. With this being said a pro tip would ask to have the salad placed in a separate container until they address this.
Came to Bloom for the second time recently, after coming years ago and trying a bunch of the most popular items from their menu. Food was solid then and is still solid now. The first time I tried the pulled pork bene, chicken and waffles, and croissant french toast, I liked all with the croissant french toast being my favorite because I'm a sucker for french toast. This time we got the California Bene and Steak & Eggs. The steak was cooked perfectly, the California bene was pretty messy and hard to share, but it was loaded up with bacon and avocado. Each meal came with duck fat potatoes, which were really good. Portions are very large, we left super full and ended up taking home a lot of the potatoes. It gets really crowded, so come early or prepare to wait. We arrived shortly after they opened and got a seat no problem, but by the time we were done around 9:15am on a Saturday, there was already a wait. The first time I came was a weekday afternoon, and it was even packed then. The one downside other than the wait is that because it's crowded, it is very loud. It's not a very relaxing dining experience, but brunch often isn't.
Food portions are generous, the line for a table is LONG so plan accordingly! We ended up getting our food to go and, as a Benedict snob, I had heard great things about Bloom's and was looking forward to trying it. But when I got my food there was no hollandaise with my carnitas bene which was supremely disappointing. I can't say I'll be back to give it another chance bc the wait just wasn't worth it for me
Today is my belated birthday. My 2 girlfriends took me out for my special day; so we chose Bloom to be the one for gathering. Our waiter named Deon, he was absolutely exceptional and provided some of the best service we've experienced in a long time. He paid attention to every detail and anticipated our needs before we even had to ask. From promptly replacing used dishes with clean ones to ensuring our table was always well taken care of, his attentiveness and professionalism truly stood out. Deon made our dining experience even more enjoyable with his warm hospitality and outstanding service. We felt genuinely cared for throughout the entire meal. Highly recommend asking for Deon if you have the opportunity -- he is truly an asset to the restaurant!
Adequate brunch spot that I feel is better than a lot of other rival brunch restaurants in the south bay. Lots of greenery on the walls and I liked how there were fresh flowers on every table! The sweet potato shishito hash intrigued me from the get-go and it did not disappoint. I've never seen a place offer this combination; the saltiness from the corned beef hash intermingled with the sweetness from the sweet potatoes was delicious and well-played. The shishito peppers kind of just tasted like slightly undercooked bell peppers though -- I think they would have benefited from some extra blistering. Nonetheless, still a diverse dish that I'd come back for. Service was efficient and our server was patient with us even though there were crowds forming. Additionally, the restaurant is pretty small so expect the tables to be fairly close to one another.
Came here on Saturday around noon to celebrate some small milestones. I arrived a bit later than my party so they were waiting about 15 minutes longer than me. I think we only waited 30 minutes total. Bloom has both outdoor and indoor table seating, as well as booths and a bar. Although I didn't get any footage the queue of people waiting was huddled all around the storefront. Even with a full restaurant we were served really quickly and I felt the noise level was vibey, and not disrespectful. The people to bathroom ratio is a bit rough, and we all had to wait for a while. I got the jumbo crab bene. I think Benedict's can sometimes be a hit or miss for me. I really hate it when they use the rubbery type of bread, but their bread was fresh and buttery. Enormous amount of crab too. I felt I needed the fiber and chose it have it with fruit instead of potato's, and was pleasantly surprised all of the fruit weren't tart at all, even with my ube drink. 10/10!

Went to Bloom with Des and BB for brunch before an afternoon of shopping at Valley Fair, and it was the perfect start to the day. Located in a shopping center next to Starbucks, Bloom offers a menu with a little something for everyone -- from indulgent brunch options to lighter choices. Des and I shared the churro waffle, which was a standout. It had a crispy texture and was coated in cinnamon and sugar, topped with melted cookie butter, fresh strawberries, blackberries, and blueberries. It also came with maple syrup, but honestly, it didn't even need it. Portions are definitely large enough to share. We also ordered the "Bacon & Eggs", which came with scrambled eggs and duck fat fried potatoes. The eggs were fluffy and well done, while the bacon had a great balance of savory, sweet, and a slight kick from red pepper flakes. The potatoes had great flavor with garlic and parsley, though they could have been cooked a bit longer for a softer texture. BB ordered the jumbo crab Benedict, which was impressive. The English muffin seemed house-made, with a soft, flaky interior, and the amount of lump crab on the plate was very generous -- definitely a standout dish. For drinks, I had the butterfly lychee martini, which came with a vial of butterfly pea simple syrup that changes the color from blue to purple -- fun to watch and great in flavor. BB had the lavender matcha, which was beautifully presented and also well enjoyed. One small note -- the water served was lukewarm, which made it less refreshing. Service was great overall. There was a bit of a wait since they don't take reservations, but it moved quickly. Pricing is very reasonable considering the quality and portion sizes. Overall, a great brunch spot with creative dishes and plenty of options. Definitely looking forward to coming back to try more from the menu

I'm not a fan of brunch spots because they feel overly simple or seem like its trying too hard but I was surprised at the variety of flavors they have. We ordered takeout: some savory dishes and a churro waffle to try. Crab cakes benedict was pretty good. Decent balance of flavors but pairs well with ketchup or cholula sauce. The garlic potatoes are so good! Chilaquiles was decent. I've only had it one other time - this one was ok! They had two eggs, chunk of avocado, some cherry tomatoes, cheese, salsa, and chips. Churro Waffles are so good! I don't typically like the sweet stuff but this was pretty good with a cup of coffee. Generous amount of berries! All in all - flavors were good at this place but it does feel a liiiittle pricey for what you get. Would definitely recommend if you're looking for a special brunch spot!
I got some food for takeout at around 10:30a on a Saturday, and I must say, even for take out it was 5/5! The chilaquiles had the right mix of chips, eggs, cheese, and great tasting salsa. The crab benedict was good and I enjoyed the garlic potatoes. The only gripe here would be the little bits of shell I could feel. The churro waffle was pretty much perfect, not too soggy and not too hard. Not super sweet but you're not left wanting more of anything in either bite. I hope to come try it in the restaurant next time!

Popular American brunch spot, well-lit and decent indoor and outdoor seating. Servers are friendly and helpful. Didn't need a reservation to sit, but I assume it's much more crowded on the weekends. Parking was fine. Ordered French toast, avocado toast with poached egg, carnitas Benedict, and Churro waffles. Honestly, everything was a bit average and lacking flavor. The churro waffles were by far the favorite and the best deal, price to taste-wise. Definitely get it if you're gonna try anything here. Otherwise, Bloom was slightly lackluster for me. Nothing terrible, but I prefer Sweet Maple as a brunch spot. read more
I've had this booked for ages and finally got a chance to try this when visiting SJ. I heard the wait times can get crazy but I went when on a weekday so we walked right in and got seated. So many delicious menu options and I got their Blooms breakfast burrito which was absolutely loaded with marinated flank steak, scrambled eggs, grilled red onions, crispy potatoes, roasted chilies, fresh avocado and cheddar-jack cheese blend. The burrito was huge and the leftovers were almost enough for another meal. It was really good and hearty. All the ingredients tasted very fresh, the steak was a bit chewy but other than that it was good. Service was also fast and the waitress checked up on us a lot. Highly recommend for your next brunch spot or outing with the family. read more
Ordered in-store at around 9AM. Food and drinks came out pretty quickly despite the line and number of online orders being filled. The asiago bagel was good but very rich. Definitely a bagel made for sharing. The ube latte was good quality with a nice ube taste. The vanilla latte, however, did not have much vanilla taste (was basically like drinking warm milk). read more

Bloom completely lived up to the hype. My friends and I chose it based on the great reviews, and we were honestly so impressed. From the moment we walked in, the service was warm and welcoming. And I have to say--I was not expecting such a cute, elevated spot tucked into a strip mall next to a grocery store. I really hope they continue to get the recognition they deserve. We each ordered our own breakfasts and shared the churro waffles (which were amazing). The drinks were delicious, but the standout detail was the signature ice cube stamped with "BLOOM"--such a small touch, but it felt so thoughtful and elevated. We were all kind of blown away and couldn't stop talking about it. We will definitely return and I highly recommend! read more
We decided to try a new place out foe brunch and decided on this place. I never knew it was next to Luckys. Always thought it was a floral store. Anyways. Plenty of parking here at this complex. We did not have any reservations but was seated right away inside. The hostess was nice and friendly. We were able to order our food and receive it quickly. I opted for the corned beef but the waitress said that it is shredded. I was fine with trying something new. I would say the dish was fine but my veggies were slightly undercooked. I thought the potatoes in duck fat was flavorful. My wife got a Bene dish. She enjoyed it and the portion was large!! I think next time I will try their more popular dish of the chicken and waffles since that appeared to be a fav and large in size. read more
Every time I pass by this place always has a line out the door( literally) and today was no difference. Came on a Saturday morning and the line was all the way out the door. The wait was about 45 minutes so I got some coffee at Starbucks and waited there. I ordered steak and eggs and my friend got the churro waffles. Steak was cooked perfect medium and was juicy and delicious. The churro waffles really good as I got my sugar cravings out the way. The place is a bit tight in space, but I see why it's always busy. We came here around 9am on a Saturday Morning and got sat immediately before the morning rush! I got the special lavender matcha and it was nice and refreshing and not too sweet! For food, I got the special BLT sandwich which was good and had a cheese crust. It came with salad and garlic fries which were both so delicious! My boyfriend got the Chicken Pesto Sandwich which came with the same sides and was great as well! Our server brought out a croissant french toast which they had an extra of which they gave us for free. It was delicious and a very nice surprise. I would recommend getting the croissant french toast if you have a sweet tooth, the whip cream was nice and refreshing. Altogether, this was a good experience with the food and service, I would definitely come back! read more
Visited Bloom with a friend on a Thursday for brunch and it was pretty busy. Luckily, there was no wait and service was great. Very attentive staff. The menu is huge and I'm happy they have regular lunch options on top of typical breakfast and brunch items such as croissant French toast and eggs Benedict. I ordered the chicken pesto sandwich which came with a side of garlic fries and small salad. Portion was great and the food was delicious. I also got a side of their aioli which was amazing with the fries. Overall, I'd be back. Service was great and food was delicious. I don't know if it's worth the wait though on the weekends but for a weekday brunch spot, definitely worth it. Plenty of parking in the lot as well. read more
Was a good experience! We came here on Saturday at 8am, right after opening and it was getting packed. We sat in the patio which was cold but also fun -- we got a cute space heater and it was cozy. Now the food was expensive. - Lavender Hour ($11) very delish but expensive -- I think for the amount you get and the ice the maximum should be $8. But the Ube was really good -- can't recommend more - Garden Scramble was literally cheesy eggs, zucchinis, tomatoes, and two slices of bread with fruit, not really filing but was a fun experience. - Crossiant French Toast very unhealthy for a breakfast but yum otherwise, a lot of cream. Overall it was $65 for brunch after taxes and tip which was expensive but a fun experience. read more

We ordered the chilaquiles, chicken and waffles, and garlic fries. The chilaquiles were tasty but a little salty and could've used more sauce. The chicken and waffles had a unique sweet and spicy flavor that was interesting. The garlic fries were honestly the highlight - crispy, flavorful, and really good. For drinks, we had the Lovers Lane, hot toddy, and a mimosa. All were good, just nothing super memorable. Also, they felt pricey for what we got. Service was solid even with the crowd. I found this place on yelp after going to Kaiser Santa Clara. It was PACKED and I needed a table for myself and my toddler. I was a bit annoyed that they ran out of high chairs; they asked if I wanted to be seated without one. I was starving, so I agreed. I plopped my daughter next to me on the cushioned seating against the wall... my fellow parents reading this, you know how much of a gamble this was. Thankfully, my daughter stayed seated. I was disappointed that the menu had no kids offerings. It appears for several years, people have pointed this out. My suggestion to the business owner would be to create some kid friendly options--at least two to choose from would be nice. I ended up ordering her avocado toast ($15). It came with a salad, which of course, is unappetizing to kids. They offered to remove the toppings of pickled red onion, radishes, alfalfa sprouts, which was a nice gesture. She barely touched the avocado toast (didn't like the creamy consistency, used to more chunky at home), so I ended up eating it all. Ate some of my chicken apple sausage scramble ($23). The portions are generous. Our server was attentive. TL;DR: great food, large portions but needs more high chairs and kid friendly options on the menu. read more

First time here and even on a rainy day, it is quite busy. We waited for about an hour and got serve quickly. The food was amazing and portion was huge! You can honestly share a plate with another person. I got the lavender lychee martini and I was told the Bloody Mary is delicious. Defiantly have to try that next. Ambiance is cute and cozy. Though, it feels quite crowded with the space between the tables and people trying to go to the bathroom. I would recommend coming here. read more

I came on a Saturday around 11 and the wait for 2 was 30-40 minutes. While we waited we went and got coffee at Starbucks and sat in there so it wasn't too bad of a wait and ended up getting a text like 27 min after we put our name down. The inside is simple but cute, there is a bar and some TVs to watch but it doesn't make it like a sports bar atmosphere, still a nice breaky place. I got the croque madam and my friend got the special of steak Benedict's. I got a grapefruit mimosa and she got a guava mimosa. Both with fresh squeezed juice and they were really good!!! Service was sooooo friendly and fast, I wish I got her name. Food was delish, I'll definitely be back! read more
We needed a brunch restaurant during our travel to Santa Clara on a day trip. This hit the spot! The breakfast was delicious, the restaurant was cute and the service was attentive and efficient! Got there around 10:45am on a Saturday and were met with a 45 minute wait. We chose to sit outside with the heater since inside was pretty crowded and loud. It was warm enough, but a little awkward at times with people standing right behind you while you're trying to eat, plus some cigarette smoke drifting through. Food was decent overall. The chicken and waffles were just okay, the chicken was on the thinner side. The churro waffle was pretty good, and the carnitas benedict was solid and something I'd order again. Service was fine. They forgot our bacon, but also didn't charge us for it. Overall, a good not great experience. I'd come back to try a few other dishes. 3.5 stars read more

I keep coming back to this brunch spot! My go-to dish is the French Toast croissant, it is soft yet crispy on the edges, the whip cream is thick and creamy, and the fruit is fresh. I love bringing people to try this place out because it's a 10/10 service each time. read more

This is one of our favorite go to places for breakfast!! Wait line can be crazy if you arrive after 10:30 (we waited 2 hours once). However it is definitely worth the wait... Their food is definitely top quality!! We love love love the croissant French toast! Kids can probably eat that daily. I have also tried their veggie scramble which is really good too. The service was excellent -- experienced at least 4 different team members tend to our table. The food was colorful and flavorful. Long anticipated visit finally happened! This place of high talks did not disappoint, and with a time crunch we were seated pretty quickly. Ambiance was a mixture of hip, yet cozy atmosphere, with an upbeat vibe to it. Service was attentive and fast! Matcha Ube drink was AMAZINGLY delicious and had to fight myself from ordering 2 more (it's one of those drinks you want bottomless glasses of). But the STAR entree for me was the fresh jumbo crab bene (Benedict)!! It was as fresh as if you're ordering at SF Fisherman's Wharf and I couldn't get enough!! No, they're strictly walk-in. The line tends to move fast but can get quite busy during peak hours so best to go early! The outside tables are usually emptier so bring a thicker layer and they provide heat lamps. :)

I've been able to order on weekdays, but not weekends.
