I give it a three because the wait staff was amazing they did a great job but the cook didn't know how to make a BLT, one tomato one piece of bacon cut in half and one little piece of lettuce on a gigantic piece of overly butter toasted brioche bread. Denny's is almost always good and dependable. The menu's shrunk since going there the last time, but the food is pretty good. Had the salmon and wine served in little plastic bottles with tops you can take with you. The salmon was prepared just as I requested and we even went for dessert and left definitely sated. The server was great. The food was very fast. I got the chicken fried steak, over medium eggs and hashbrowns. The eggs were cooked easy which is fine, I still ate it. The chicken fried steak was greasier than normal and my glass of orange juice had a lipstick stain on it. They were so wonderful here!! The food was great, the servers were great, it was very kid friendly. Comfortable seats, it doesnt look much from the outside but I promise as soon as you walk in it's wonderful. It's very comfortable and it kinda reminds me of one of those old fashioned diners. Look: it's a Denny's. It probably shouldn't have higher than three stars because it's a Denny's. But so many people gave them one star, and it didn't seem entirely fair. It was good food, served at a good price. They were nice to my large brood, didn't sniff their noses at us for ordering off the value menu, and brought more pancakes to my son before he even asked. The tall man who served us was friendly and cheerful and kind to my children. Warning: if you're looking for foody Oregon, go somewhere else. You'll never be happy with what Denny's is. It's old people and $2 pancakes. It's coffee without soy. But you know what? They gave me a very good grilled turkey sandwich with generous avocado on it and a cup of soup for $6. My teen left full for $4. My toddler ate her fill of yogurt and saltines. If I walk into a restaurant and there's no ac in the summer, I just walk out and find one that has ac. And shoes and shirts are required in most restaurants. That's a health code violation. I have children. Yes, it's annoying to put the shoes they fling off repeatedly back on their feet before getting out of the car, but I do it Every Single Time. That's part of parenting, sadly. If I could leave a negative 100 star review I would. First all avoid this location if you are on a time schedule. I stepped into this location at 6pm me and my kids waited 20 minutes not once did anyone ever come around to take an order or ask what if we wanted to anything to drink. So after that 20 minutes we left. Employees watched us walk out. Did they stop to ask us what is wrong? NOPE!!! I will not stop at this location anymore in the future. This was the worst service I have ever had at a Denny's! Myself and my multi cultural family of 10 came to have breakfast. My niece that was Asian was treated horribly by the waitress. She wouldn't look at her or speak to directly to her. She stood across a table to give her food. And threw a straw at her. She is the only person OF 10! That was treated this way. I typically love Denny's. Every now and again we come across a bad one. This is a bad one. The service is GARBAGE. The "hostess" (perhaps the manager? She's not dressed as though she works here) is very rude and clearly hates her job. The cook was out back practicing all the swear words he could think of and being sure to add lots of anger to every meal. The hostess lady just made someone move their motorhome from what she called the "fire lane" but the area was painted white, not red, so there would be no indication that one wouldn't be able to park there. We went here on July 4, 2022. There were 3 people in our group. It was clearly busy, but we were sat within about 5mins of arriving. There was a group of 5 ahead of us that they did not have a table for, and that family left about 10mins after we were sat. An older couple behind us got sat within a few minutes of us. We could see that there were 3 waitresses and one manager. It took a bit to get our waters and our order taken, but again, it was busy. It was right around 11am that our order was taken. My brother called my mom at 11:02am on her phone, and we told him where we were and that we had just ordered. This is important to note because of how much time elapsed for us sitting and waiting. During the course of the next 50mins waiting for our food, we did get my son's smoothie fortunately after reminding the waitress of it; saw several families come and go without being sat; had to ask a busser to ask a booth across the way to have their phone turned down because we don't need to hear Baby Shark playing at full blast; one couple never were acknowledged beyond being sat and they left after 10mins of waiting for nothing; the couple who came in behind us had already gotten their order of food; a man who came in 30+ minutes after us had ordered and gotten his nachos; at 11:52am our waitress (who never came by once till then expect when she brought the smoothie) came by and said, "you're up next." We were pretty hungry and frustrated about the wait by this point, and so we found ourselves watching the kitchen from our booth in anticipation that any plates appearing in the food window could be ours. Other waitresses kept bringing food out for their tables. We had basic, simple orders consisting of pancakes, eggs, bacon, sausage. Well, as we were watching in the kitchen, we could see our waitress looking pretty frustrated. She cupped her hands over her mouth and nose at one point, a moment later scratching her lip or face with her right hand, and finally we saw her grab a plate from the food window and scrape some eggs and bacon from the blue plate and onto another blue plate USING THE RIGHT HAND she had just been touching her face with! No she did not have any utensils in her hand, she used her bare fingers! She then put that plate back in the food window. This all occurred around 12:05pm in complete view from our booth, and she never washed her hands at any point from touching her face to touching the food on that plate. I was so disgusted, I got up and went to the front to speak to the manager. The couple that had come in after us were up at the front paying for their food that they had already been served and eaten! Rebekah was the woman at the register and she told me the manager was in the kitchen cooking because they were shorthanded and so busy. I told her that I knew they were busy, but waiting over an hour for food when others who had come after us had already been served and eaten was unacceptable. I told her what I saw that other waitress do with her hands on her face and then touching the food on the plate with those same hands. I told her I was willing to pay for my son's smoothie, but that I no longer want to eat there because the wait was too long and seeing that waitress behave that way in the kitchen was disgusting. Rebekah told us we did not have to pay for the smoothie and she was quite apologetic. As I returned to the table to tell my mother and son we could go, our waitress came out and Rebekah told her we didn't want our food. And all that waitress said in what came out as frustrated at us was, "You're not eating now?" (That blue plate with the eggs and bacon was on her tray! That would have been my food!) Rebekah explained to her quickly what we saw in the kitchen, and Rebekah told her she didn't think it was her, to which I replied quickly, "yes it was her that did it! We watched the whole thing." I went to the car immediately. My mother spoke with Rebekah about what compensation we could have, and all that she told my mother was that we need to tell them next time that 3 meals are oh Rebekah. We appreciated Rebekah greatly for her being the way she was, but how are we to believe these 3 meals will really be on the house next time? First of all, this experience doesn't make us want to return, as we now have no confidence in our food being sanitary to eat there, but also we never got to speak to the actual manager and have nothing providing us with assurance we will get our meals but the word of a waitress who wrote nothing down. I must say, this hasn't been our first negative experience at this Denny's, but it has sure been the absolute worst. read more

I don't normally review Denny's but this one I'll make an exception. The food is what you expect at a Denny's. The service was below Denny's standard in my opinion. But the big factor here was the temperature of the restaurant. The temperature outside was in the 80s and that was cooler than the temperature inside. The air conditioning repair company was coming from Portland which is two hours away. This apparently was the fifth time the air-conditioner had broke. Anyone who knows the gorge knows that he gets hot. I believe this is quite unacceptable in my opinion. Made it extremely difficult to enjoy a meal when you're sweating. read more

Too angry at the rude service to actually stay and order anything. After not being acknowledged by numerous staff when they clearly weren't busy we were finally sat by a balding man. As he sat me and my three year old son down he states " he should have some shoes on" After driving for three hours with a car sick baby the last thing on my mind was to find my three year olds shoes. I understand risks of being barefoot and it's my responsibility as a parent if anything happens. hencoukd have been nicer.
