The Grand Slam was as expected...the eggs were cooked perfectly to order and nice thick sausages. Came for brunch on a Saturday afternoon, no reservation necessary! We got a table for 4 right away. I love Denny's because they have so many options. I personally loved their country fried-steak with a side of mashed potatoes and their bacon cheddar tots! The bacon cheddar tots were so good and it was my first time trying it. Their philly steak omelette was also really good! It was juicy and with a lot of flavours. I was a bit disappointed with their coffee, it tasted burnt. Their service wasn't the best either, it took them 20mins to bring us water and napkins. After we finally gave our order, it took them another 40mins to give that to us and the restaurant was empty. They also forgot to give us cutlery. Having said that, their portion sizes were so good and very pocket friendly! read more

I like this location better than the one in downtown. It's well-decorated and the servers are attentive. They also have a charger on the table, which is really nice. The food taste the same though. Their buttermilk pancakes are really good. I got the build your own grand slam. Although the eggs and bacon are too salty for my own liking, it's a good balance with the pancake. I got tea as well and they serve it with tiny milk pods. Overall, denny's always nice to get a good breakfast for a mood boost. This may be the Best and fanciest Denny's I've ever been to and there is a reason why. Test Kitchen. Apparently, this Denny's used to be some upscale restaurant so when they moved in, they left everything the same. So, this is Like a Dennys all dressed up to go to a Gala. Seriously it looks like $$$, five-star restaurant in here. The men's bathroom has such a modern, stone look to, matching the rest of the place. The lighting and tables are not your average southern U.S. Denny's. The purpose of the visit was killing time before meeting up with friends. Split a basket of nachos and I got a screwdriver. I'm don't think Denny's usually has a full bar either, but here you go. They even have a wine rack behind glass. Service was good, our waitress made frequent enough stops, but because it was such a small visit she wasn't needed all that much. I'd say if you're Denny's fan, for sure you should come here. Had no idea that Denny's has a test kitchen. This location is quite different from the others, in that a) it's actually upscale, and b) there's an actual bar area (think Earls or Cactus Club), and of course c) there are new prototype dishes here. Parking is available on the side streets. The venue is split into a bar area and a restaurant area. I wouldn't go so far to say it's up there with Earls/Cactus Club, but the vibe is more like that of a hotel lounge. Staff are very friendly and professional. Service and refills with a smile, even when I drank probably 6 coffees. Tasty stuff. Crazy spicy skillet - spicy as in the black pepper type, not the hot sauce type. Chicken chunks had a nice kick. Decently large portion. Served on a sizzling platter. Super Bird - turkey bacon sandwich. Normally I'm not a fan of turkey, but this one was pretty good. Nice and moist, and the deli bread was toasted. Served with fries and gravy. The only thing that surprised me was that the place was pretty empty. I haven't been to Denny's in a long time, but I was craving breakfast for dinner. I'm glad this place is still here and have lasted all these years. The venue is more updated, but it still has the same extensive menu. Basically a great meal, that has good sized portions at a good price. The breakfast of scrambled eggs, bacon, and shoe string fries was how I remembered it. Service is fast and courteous and they have free parking at an underground parkade for two hours. Was frequenting Ds in the days when Marine/Cambie was the go-to place for cheap slams years ago and the pit stop for the late evenings/ early early morning crave (to detox). Just a hop away back then. Those days are nada now, but the test kitchen, the next closest and still in YVR, is good. EZ access. Prices?? - Well, welcome to 2024!! Still good food. Great service. The manager (possibly owner?) was disgustingly rude. I simply asked for malt vinegar and the waitress showed me HP sauce and he yelled at me that they only have synthetic vinegar... maybe he meant authentic? Either way, a Denny's without malt isn't one I want to go to again... just kidding... About 5 minutes later the set up for our 5 month old twins that the manager yelled at us to move because he needed to seat customers in the restaurant that was only 20% full He was a jerk and had no business treating us so poorly. The music was fine but there was a lot of swearing and culturally inappropriate language. Good luck to them, they won't last long with staff like this. read more

It's Denny's all day breakfast!! What's better than all day breakfast? I came here with my friend after work and had their grand slam with pancake, scramble egg, hash brown, and sausages, and a beef dipped sandwich. All the food looks good and their milkshake is the bomb. The atmosphere is nice but unfortunately the food is what you pay for, nothing fancy, delicate and quality. Just quantity and big portion. 4/5 because you get a free grand slam for your birthday with no sign up! I guess it's you're quick and dirty kind of upscaled fast food place when you're on a budget. read more

I've been a loyal Denny's patron at various locations all over North America and for ages - so much do that I've up to now not even considered doing a review... until now! I was at my daughter's place close by and she suggested breakfast for dinner and of course we thought of Denny's and was pleasantly surprised that it's so near. First thing great is that they have free 2 hour underground parking - and with Broadway being torn up for the subway construction, this feature is a big plus in this area. Walked in and was very surprised that this place looks so upscale - wonder if they took over the space from some higher class operations and kept the decorations. I mean, it's even got a whole wall of wine racks - imagine that... at a Denny's!! Anyway, the usual very well priced and delicious items in their menu. If you've never gone to Denny's, press on the MICR code in my picture and it will take you to their menu. And another nice touch - on the table is a electronic placard with menu suggestions and... telephone charging cable on the sides. Neat! Service was prompt and efficient even tonight when the place was filled with families with their kids as kids eat free on Tuesdays. And the food was - as is standard at Denny's - good, solid fare; nothing fancy, just good food. And what sealed the deal for me to want to write a review is the washroom. Oh my God! It's even got a fireplace in there. All this luxe decor... at a Denny's ... and the same price as at other Denny's. Quite amazing IMHO! read more

So disappointing to unpack the Thanksgiving dinner for 4 bundle that was delivered, only to find no stuffing - as was advertised and paid for. Called the restaurant and spoke with Victoria. She said they can't send it. The option of going to the restaurant isn't possible. She did offer a discount on a future order provided the order is called in and make the arrangements. But again it seems delivery won't be possible - something about the restaurant having no control when third parties are involved like DoorDash or Skip or Uber Eats. Everything that did arrive looks great and will be enjoyed for the Thanksgiving meal - the stuffing will be missed. I strongly suggest that in future once orders are prepped and packed, someone should be spot checking to make sure that the order is complete. Management should also find a way to deliver missing items if requested particularly when the original order was delivery. What happened is really unacceptable especially in light of the fact that the restaurant can't or won't, deliver the missing item. read more

Supervisor Attitude My server was extremely polite and courteous. He deserves a promotion. However, I had a complaint and the lady supervisor (Indian) had the worst attitude I have ever encountered. She was extremely rude, egotistical and challenged my complaint, which the server agreed with me that she was rude. I hope this is read by someone at Dennys head office. spent over 100 bucks ( wed feb 7) got charged over 7 bucks for 3 small sauces, very slow service, waitress didn't understand English very well , I would suggest confirm, or ask the 19 year old manager for clarification, my wife's steak was made wrong twice. My Clubhouse was terrible too long, getting refills, napkins, and asking how our food was , quite often the waitress disappeared. The manager was aware of the problem and didn't do one thing to fix it or resolve it. I told her the four of us will never come back here again she didn't seem to care that's what you call. Long story short, we ended up leaving. To go to McDonald's. That's saying something. Before I got there, a friend had warned me about their notoriously slow service, but tonight I truly was able to experience that for myself. We chose to sit on the patio after our hostess said we could seat ourselves. Our server never made an appearance, not to greet us, not to bring menus or water, nothing. After 20 minutes of trying to get our server's attention, I went back to the host stand to tell the hostess we were ready to order. Upon seeing me, she ran away to the bar, where our supposed server was making drinks. This supposed server had been serving the table right next to us all night, but we were completely ignored. After 25 minutes, we opted to leave and get McDonald's down the road. It was the better choice. read more

Denny's is classic! The original all day breakfast joint has a classy new look as it's now located in the Old Moxies on Broadway and Burrard. This Denny's location is a partnership with Bar One, which simple means you get more menu options with a whole other menu. I think you may have to sit in the bar side to receive the Bar One menu but you can definitely eat the Denny's menu in Bar One! It's really nice with classy, modern decor, tons of tvs, lots of comfortable booths, high top and low top tables and bar seating. Bathrooms are beautiful with comfy couches and a big fire place, motion activated soap and paper towel dispensers. Services is always fast and friendly. I always modify my meals, yes I'm that girl. Never have a problem! Lots of healthy options like egg whites, turkey bacon, sugar free syrup, wheat pancakes, English muffins and fruit!!! Prices are very affordable. I don't think they have inflated as much over the years as compared to a lot of other chains have. Denny's food as we all know, some items are great and some are of lesser quality. You can super greasy or you can healthy. Surely there is something for everyone. You get a Grand Slam for free on your birthday and they have a seniors menu. If you grew up with Denny's on the weekends or frequented post bar nights in your 20's, you will love this spin on Denny's. read more

This place is filthy! The tables are sticky, there's old food splattered on the lights at the table and salt and pepper shakers. The floors are filthy, the wine cabinet display has food all over the bottom from servers dropping plates and splattering the cabinet. I don't think this place has had a good cleaning since the change over from Moxies or whatever it was before Denny's. read more

I went to Denny's for breakfast yesterday and I had an excellent experience. I was so impressed by their safety protocol with regards to COVID-19. I was particularly impressed with a worker named Gwen. From where I was sitting I could see her ensuring that a highchair was thoroughly wiped down. She was constantly wiping down areas where people walked and may have touched. The service was exceptional and the food was so amazing. I have been apprehensive to go to restaurants during this crazy time. read more

Disappointing. Weekends have gone downhill over the past couple months. Used to be Great but food on weekend evenings has slipped. Portions are smaller than usual, ingredients missing, different from the other Denny's locations. Only one word, actually two words. Very disappointing and not worth the money based on weekend rations of food. The weekend evening cook(s) seem(s) to not follow the same portion sizes or ingredients as other locations. Tried it twice, same results, bare plates almost. Won't be going back. Service: Slow, Very Slow. Waiting for food after ordering, even slower, very very slow and food arrives lukewarm or cold. New Denny's in town. It's located on Broadway where Rockford used to be. Set up with a great modern feel, this Denny's is already better than the other restaurants. Today was a special day for them but they were able to keep up with the crowds and fill our tummies with their original Grand Slam breakfast. All day they are offering 99 cent grand slam meals with scrambled eggs. Fresh, hot and delicious. Washroom- fancy fancy fancy ... Plus there's 2 sofa seats in the woman's each equipped with a light switch. Not sure if that's so we ladies can adjust the l lighting for artistic bathroom pictures. Might just have to try it out next time I'm there. Though that might be reserved for the night I go check out the connected bar. Parking- free 2 hr parking validated by Dennys, enter from the back alley, street parking available- paid or free 2hrs if you can find it Service was excellent for how busy they were. This afternoon we decided to try this Denny's on Broadway Vancouver. We are seniors and we ordered the French toast breakfast ( egg n bacon ) and my wife Breakfast starter ( egg n bacon). Let me just state that the cooking oil that was used to cook the egg n bacon MUST HAVE BEEN SOME RECYCLED OIL. There was this awful rancid after taste flavour. We will never ever go back to this Denny's again. Very very disappointed and I sincerely hope Denny's principals try this and find out for themselves. read more

This maybe a Denny's. But my god is it a nice one. Prices are the same but the setting and service is great. We came here after debating if we wanted to go to IHOP on broadway or Denny's. Since the old Denny's closed down we came to this one. I've always seen it but ever was in the area to try it. Coming in we were greeted at seated right away. The setting was a catus club (for moms that need a drink but still family friendly) We ordered breakfast my food came and I would say it's like a regular Denny's breakfast my hash browns were kinda soft and eggs were slightly cold. My boyfriends food came they lost his order and gave him a discount his meal was different from mine. His hash browns were crispy and his eggs were hot. The service was good I wouldn't complain if he filled my water glass more than what was given. (He never filled it) but that is fine. This is a concept I haven't seen in the US (where I'm from)! The Denny's is combined with the more upscale/trendy "Bar One" sports bar, so you get twice the menu choice! It's also nicer than a lot of other locations! There are a whole bunch of flat screen TVs showing assorted sports channels - plus a full bar. The Denny's part is exactly what you'd expect: reasonably priced, big portions, sometimes a little bland, but filling and definitely satisfying. Even heartwarming. The Bar One has classic sports bar fare like burgers and wings, with fun stuff like chicken curry thrown in. That menu is a little more pricey but also nice. You can sit on either side of the restaurant and get both menus. Plus, being a sporty place, they have great game day specials like $4.00 Caesars and Coors Light. Since they have a full bar, they can make you just about anything. Not a lot of selection for wines, though! The one odd thing - you don't get so much attention from the waitstaff (even during slow times). We've been here several times and they always forget to give us cutlery. And when they bring our coffee around, we never have napkins or stir sticks. But if you want (fairly) cheap food and drink (especially for Vancouver!!), this is an awesome, clean, fun place to hang out! And there are huge booths to bring all your friends! read more

It's been awhile since I've been to a Dennys. You'd never catch me in one for a number of reasons. Once I had a girl toss their coffee in my face late at night at a Denny's and another time it was tea and another it was soda. Then there was the food fight many years ago. So it caught me by surprise that I was here at this new location to meet with some friends. Why??? Why this place?? It's a Dennys for gods sake! Why not? And I was surprised. I was able to find something healthy here. My friend and I shared a salad ( she drenched it with dressing....yuck...) and a low carb dish something with meat. Which she ate and I ate the veggies that surrounded it. Yes. There is something wrong there. Why is the guy the salad eater and his pretty female petite date is eating the protein? Nevermind. The food turned out to be better than I remembered. Or was it that when I was younger, I was less discriminate about what I ate and chose all the greasy foods then? Well, because of the healthy choices I saw on the menu, I'm giving it a better mark of 3 stars. That's a good thing. It's enough, that I just might return again, one day. But it's still not as good as Dennys in Japan. read more

It is the good old Denny's with nicer seating. Good was very good and not so greasy. I say it is better than before they moved to this location. Service was so surprisingly good! And also, still Free Parking!!! And not so busy, it is quite nice and relaxing during daytime! I will definitely come back!! read more
