This is a local hidden jem of amazing food. Impeccable service. You really need to come and see for yourself - your taste buds will thank you

I just moved into the neighbourhood the beginning of June. There isn't a ton of options around here and was glad to hear about a local diner. Went for lunch the first time and we both had burgers. Really tasty and fresh!! Great value and were delicious. The fries were great also. Our server was really friendly as was the other staff. Went a second time this week for breakfast and it was awesome. I had the simple bacon and eggs and my buddy had the corned beef hash both were great and the hash browns were fantastic. Definitely will be coming back again soon. Overall it's a great clean local spot with good prices and really friendly staff. I cannot recommend it enough!!

Ordered their daily sandwich and soup special for $8.66 after taxes. Food was okay. I did not find either the sandwich or soup that impressive. Soup was mostly liquid with very little veggies or barley. It had some herbs and tasted bland. Sandwich had ham, tomato, mustard and mayonnaise. Combo comes with a pickle on the side. I asked for sourdough bread and I am pretty sure I got white bread instead. Ambiance is a cute little diner with brightly coloured decorations. The server seemed overwhelmed running the front end of the restaurant by herself. I did get my food quickly. The place was really busy so perhaps I should have ordered their all day breakfast special instead as it seemed popular. I prefer Cafe Classico for the sandwich and soup combos for about the same price.

    A pleasant Sunday afternoon

TIKI DAVE from TIKI DAVE'S TERRIFIC TRIPS absolutely loves this place!…read more After searching for the best Tiki Bar in Vancouver (what???), I absolutely had to leave the family at the airport hotel to check this place out. As Son of TIKI DAVE would say, I didn't need to go, but I wanted to go. Yes, yes, Alec, I wanted to go. And the reviews lived up to the hype. What a wonderful spot halfway between the airport and downtown. I left it up to the bartenders to choose my drinks... Against my better judgment, I went with the bartender's recommendation to try the Painkiller because they touted it better than the Soggy Dollar Bar in the BVI. Well, I've been to the BVI but never the Soggy Dollar Bar...yeah, I know. But this drink, that I would normally think too sweet for my taste, was amazing. Now, I have to go to the freakin' Soggy Dollar Bar to compare but I'd bet this one was better. For my second, I again, left it up to the knowledgeable bartender to guide me the way. And he served me up with this perfectly amazing and glowy amazingness that is the Rememberer? Which is off menu. It was amazing. And did I mention it glowed? Ambience and service is amazing. I showed up on a Saturday night at 10 and I was worried after reading about it that I'd have trouble getting in but it wasn't a problem at all. The best tiki bar in town, hands down. I've been here many times, and it's always packed on summer…read moreevenings, so I'd definitely recommend making a reservation. The cocktails are generally on the sweeter side, but they're also surprisingly strong. We ordered the Zombie (3 oz), and there's a reason it's limited to two per guest. It tasted sweet and tropical, but it definitely sneaks up on you and can get you tipsy pretty quickly. The drink prices are quite reasonable, especially compared to the food. While the food is decent, I'd say the cocktails are the real highlight here. The atmosphere is fun, lively, and full of tropical vibes, come for the drinks and the atmosphere rather than the food.

Published on Main - Vancouver, BC…read more We chose Published on Main for dinner because it's one of the participating restaurants where we could use our Amex Platinum dining credit. Since it's also a Michelin-starred restaurant, it seemed like the perfect opportunity to finally experience it. Our dinner lineup was: Aebleskiver Milk Bun Belgian Endive Dungeness Crab GBP Gnocchi BBQ Beef Striploin Most of the dishes are designed for sharing, with the exception of the Aebleskiver, which is served individually, so we ordered two. It's a round, savoury dough with herbs and pine nuts, topped with Kaluga caviar. The dough itself was delicious, but the caviar wasn't quite to my taste. I prefer caviar with that distinct salty, creamy and buttery flavour, while I found this particular Kaluga very mild and almost tasteless. Everything else, however, was fabulous. Dungeness Crab - My absolute favourite of the evening. Beautifully executed and packed with flavour. Belgian Endive - A very close second and probably one of the biggest surprises of the meal. Who knew endive could be this memorable? BBQ Beef Striploin - The Michelin-worthy dish for me. Beautifully prepared and a great way to finish our savoury courses. The Milk Bun and GBP Gnocchi were also excellent and rounded out the meal nicely. The atmosphere is polished but not overly formal--I'd describe it as business casual. Most guests were dressed accordingly; you could probably count on one hand the number who weren't. Despite the restaurant being busy, I didn't find it loud at all. We could comfortably chat and hear each other throughout dinner, which I really appreciated. Service was cordial, professional and knowledgeable. Each dish was presented with a clear description, adding to the overall dining experience without making it feel overly ceremonial. Overall, Published on Main lived up to its reputation. With the exception of the caviar not being to my personal taste, we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. The Dungeness Crab alone is something I would happily return for. Definitely a restaurant I would recommend to friends and family--especially for a special occasion or if you're looking to put that Amex Platinum dining credit to very good use!

We were a table of 5 and were told about 10 dishes would be a good amount of food for us…read more She said if she felt like we needed more or to double up on a dish she would let us know. The servers that brought us our food were great at explaining each dish. The burrata was smooth and creamy. The focaccia that came with it, was huge and had a nice flavor to it. The candied pine nuts and cherry toppings were a really nice addition to the dish. The beef tar tar was tasty and slightly acidic. We had the Elk served rare, and it was delicous, but I didn't liked the cubed pieces. The stuffed pappardelle was soo good. I liked the hint of lemon, as it really elevated the dish. The duck with beet sauce was so nice. The duck had a nice crispy skin. The beets were one of my favorites. They were slightly acidic and sweet. The summer beans were very smooth and not like previous bean dishes that I have tried. The milk buns with butter didn't have much flavor, but the bun itself was nice and fluffy. The Octopus' sauce was so good and the Octopus itself was tender. I found the Maitake a bit too salty for me, but otherwise it was enjoyable. The Lambchetta was our least favorite dish of the night. It was a touch salty and had a hint of hoisin to it. The strawberry mille flavors were good, but the puff was a bit dry. The strawberry gelato was my favorite dessert. The gellee was nice as well. Walk through the forest dessert sounded interesting, but didn't hit the spot. I didn't really enjoy the mushroom flavor. It reminded me of Chinese herbal medicine. The coffee flavor wasn't bad. Our server was great at advising when she didn't think one of the desserts would be good to share as a table. This restaurant would be great for a celebration or date night. 4.5 stars

I'm usually not a fan of Octopus but this one was just amazing and my most favourite dish here - it came with roasted yam and topped with chimichurri. The octopus was cooked to perfection, not at all chewy! The other dishes I would recommend would be their Peruvian corn bricohe that cae with a chimichurri and fresh truffles spread and their truffled chicken pappardelle. For drinks, our server told us that they got a michelin star for it and I'm not surprised. All the cocktails were so unique and also delicious! I got their ritual and threads - both were not too sweet and not very alcohol forward. I would definitely come back here for a special occasion. Even their service was stellar!

The restaurant has an amazing ambiance and is covered in greenery and warm, earthy tones to simulate the Peruvian homeland. Our server was helpful with ordering and offered various suggestions and features. We opted to share a feature cocktail, which I forgot the base of, but it was topped with a yummy sweet potato foam and went well with the various dishes we had for dinner. We started with the ceviche bar and selected the hamachi tiradito. This was a dish full of many flavours and textures. I found the dish pleasing to my taste buds, but a bit overwhelming as there were several different components on the dish (various sauces, garnishes). The featured pastry dish was delicious! I enjoyed the sweet and salty flavour profile from the meat and raisins with a bit of spice from the Peruvian-style sauce on top. Our main dishes were both fantastic as well. The truffled chicken pappardelle with shaved truffle on top was yummy, and the pasta was definitely fresh and made in-house. The walnuts added were a simple but excellent touch for added texture. The duck rice was also a solid staple, and I loved the additional duck meat mixed within the cilantro beer rice. Finally, we ended with the strawberry mousse cake for dessert. It was not my favourite as I found it a bit too sweet, but the yogurt was refreshing, and the texture was soft. We definitely were overexcited and ordered a bit too much, which left us with leftovers. Visually, everything we ordered was stunning, and although some of the dishes were a bit underwhelming, I enjoyed the experience overall and would like to experiment with other menu items and cocktails again.
