The diner itself is very cute on the inside with cute booths and signage around. Very clean :) the problem is the food. They have no sausage until Wednesday (it's Monday) so my biscuits and gravy consisted of white gravy with bits of sausage links put in. Very bland and tasteless. Presentation awful. My eggs were undercooked. The best part of my meal was the ice tea. read more

I am a person who has a dairy allergy & told our server "Sarah" about it. Before we knew it she came back with an allergen paper that my husband & I could look over. She went above & beyond to make sure my food wasn't cross contaminated.. Dennys --thank you for having the allergen paper menu for people to look at unlike another big name popular restaurant here in town that will not take any allergies seriously other than gluten. Food quality was okay and fast. Service left more to be desired. No other restaurants were in the area, so this what where we chose to stretch our legs and enjoy a sit down meal. We ordered nachos, a burger and the country fried steak. Nothing spectacular. read more

I stopped for lunch today. Opened my menu only to find some weird looking bug squirming around in the menu. This was at the Dennys directly off of 70, located near Wendy's and BP. I told the hostess and I left. If a bug is in the menu....what's in the kitchen? UGH!! read more

While me and my friends where attending Whitney H was the best server I've had in a while. She had been extremely busy and still found the time to make the experience welcoming. She even constantly made sure that we were ok and had everything we needed. 20/10 for Whitney she should get a raise! read more

This is a nice diner style Dennys and quite clean. My breakfast is good. The service is very good. They also offered a coffee refill to go, again this builds brand loyalty. The background music is at low volume. This location is in excellent condition. read more

This is a very classic Denny's, really cool!! I had the Tilapia Ranchero, despite what I thought it was going to be, it was pretty good. The sautéed vegetables were too mushy for my liking but, the mac & cheese was good. The red velvet pancake puppies were delicious. Our waitress was kind and speedy. Denny's is not always wonderful. But I don't remember ever eating here, leaving, and wish I had not eaten there. This occasion was no different. I always get some form of Grand Slam breakfast. The prices are cheap but ignorant to serve a luke-warm milkshake. Went on different occasions but still didn't do nothing for my gut. I guess on multiple occasions it wasn't my night. This is a Denny's that looks like no other. It's completely retro, both on the outside and the inside. The food is basically the same though, so if you didn't like Denny's in Columbus, you probably won't like this one either. The times that I've stopped have been when I've been hungry and was headed out of town. Their prices are a bit higher than other competing restaurants. Yesterday I had an omelet with cheddar and chorizo and it was "okay". I woundn't say it was great but it wasn't awful either. So three stars it is. read more

Can you believe that this is one of the closest Denny's to Columbus, Ohio? I have to drive nearly an hour to enjoy a Moons Over My Hammy! Luckily this particular Denny's is a "Classic Diner". What does that mean? Well, it's flared out to resemble any truck stop diner, right down to the design of the building. All Denny's are typically the same. Tons of wonderful and greasy breakfast foods, and some menu items that are considered "lunch" or "dinner". But why would you go to Denny's and not order breakfast? This place never gets old to me. I love getting Moons Over My Hammy, or a Lumberjack Slam. Can I eat everything on my plate? Heavens no! But that doesn't keep me from trying a bite of everything that's offered. Denny's is not only a breakfast staple for me, but any time we declare "Road Trip" you better believe we're stopping at a Denny's. read more

Night and day compared to the normal breakfast sausage. Tell them to run your bread through the toaster twice, unless you want your bread just warm. Service was good. read more

I stopped by this Denny's on my way across Ohio. I ordered a big salad that had fresh greens, nicely grilled chicken and lots of fruit - it was excellent! The hostess and waitress were both incredibly friendly and kind. My order was perfect, but the folks in the booth next to me had some small issue. The waitress took really great care to male sure things were resolved, and sent them home with a dessert. Excellent service all the way around. My only complaint was sanitation. I used the restroom before dining and it was filthy. Really filthy. There was a yellow mop sign in there as if it had been just cleaned but I don't know how that could be the case. There were tons of flies in there and it smelled of piss. Needless to say I held it in. If they got this corrected I would give it 5 stars! Did I really say that about DENNY'S? You bet. read more

We enjoy the classic diner look & theme however the inside could use an update. Many of the seats are worn and/or ripped. We were promptly seated. One server took our drink order then had another take our food order. He was friendly and checked on us often. Food was alright. Nothing to brag about or complain about. My husband and I love this place. We come here at least once a week, or every other week. The two of us are night owls, so it's not uncommon for us to start craving a Grand Slam at 3AM. The food is awesome -- I've never had a reason to complain. I highly recommend the breakfast skillets to anyone who's looking for something filling, but not necessarily heavy on their stomach. One server we usually get is all kinds of awesome, and part of the reason we go. When I got a Belgian Waffle, I took a shot and asked if I could get chocolate chips. And what did she do? Came back with a little container filled with chocolate chips. Talk about making my night, as simple as the gesture may have been. I've never really tried any of their "lunch/dinner" food. When I go to places like Denny's, I always get breakfast. I like to mix up my order a bit from my regular from time-to-time, and I have never been disappointed with anything. read more

So frustrated with this place. We stopped in about 3 weeks ago and I wanted to order the sampler. After I place the order, the waitress came out and told me they were out of chicken strips and onion rings. How can that even happen? So I ordered something different . My husband's meal was served with dinner rolls the dinner rolls were absolutely pathetic. I don't know why she wasn't ashamed to serve those. They smelled very yeasty but we're flat and hard. We decided to give Denny's another try last night. Again I wanted to order the sampler so I had my waiter check to see if they had everything. He came back and confirmed that they had what I wanted so I placed my order and my husband placed his order for a raspberry Shake. The waiter came out and said"my bad I should have checked-we're out of raspberries". Headed east? stop out at this denny's. Diner style building is charming. The view isn't much as it's basically a highway rest stop (the bathrooms smell like a highway rest stop too), but the food is decent, cheap and the service is good. read more

I did not intend on being in Zanesville on Christmas eve. Not at 6am, nor at any other time. But I'm so glad I decided to make my lemonade here at Denny's. I walked in to friendly laid back staff, who check up on you often, but not too often. They're talkative, but not too talkative. They have a pretty good selection of menu items (including grits, yay!). I don't think I've ever been to Denny's for breakfast, but I bet I'll be back! The coffee is pretty standard but certainly better than most diner coffee I've had, and they give you real cream from the fridge! I had a lot of driving ahead of me, so I decided to get something to keep me going. T-Bone steak(steak for breakfast, what!?), eggs over easy and red potatoes. I asked for the steak medium rare, and oddly enough, it actually was! It was pretty thin, and heavily flavored, but absolutely delicious and juicy. Not in a high class beefy sort of way, but a low class greasy sort of way. The eggs were surprisingly good and perfect for dipping my sourdough toast into, although I wasn't a huge fan of the potatoes. It was a bit of a wait for a party of 8, but once finally seated, our experience wasn't bad. We had an excellent waitress - she was always on top of everything, bringing refills before our glasses were empty, even when they were extremely busy. We know that great customer service is hard to come by. After ordering, we didn't wait long for our food to come. I found a coupon for 20% off our entire check online, which was nice. The only negative thing I'd comment about was the noise level. This is the loudest Denny's I've ever been to. Not just judging by this visit alone. We had to raise our voices being only 2 feet from one another and even louder when their smoothie/shake maker was on. It sounded and looked like it was 20 years old. Extremely loud. My ears are still humming 30 minutes later. Seriously though, there [are] machines that work more quietly. They should invest in one. read more

The wife and I eat at this Denny's a couple times a month, and have agreed it is the best breakfast we can get for the price we pay. We get the Grand Slam which consists of 2 eggs, 2 pancakes (or toast), potatoes, 2 sausages, 2 pieces of bacon, coffee and juice for an amazing $8.00.! And how is the food? We think the pancakes are as good or better then most. The rest of the food is well prepared. I usually get tomato juice and they give you a large glass full. How do we rate our Denny's experiences? The food gets a 5 because of the pancakes and juice. The value gets a 5+. The facility gets a 5 as it is typically clean and is a classic 50's/60's style atmosphere. The waitresses are always very friendly and do a great joy attending to our needs and get a 5. So, this was an easy one to calculate our solid 5 rating. Are we going back to Denny's? Just as soon as the wife and I get a breakfast eat out craving! read more
