The owner/staff are big NY sports fans, but the owner's wife is a Dallas Cowboys fan -- so there's at least one voice of reason on the wall. All fun, all humor, great attitude. The cheesy garlic bread was outstanding. A little crusty on the outside, soft on the inside, loaded with garlic flavor, and the perfect amount of cheese. One of the best versions I've had in a long time. The NY‑style pizza was equally impressive. Excellent crust, perfect melt, and the cheese‑to‑topping ratio was spot‑on. We came in about an hour before closing and the employees were so nice and helpful! Patient while trying to make an order! We ate there but they were cleaning up and made sure we had everything we needed! The pizza was delicious! The pepperonis were tasty and were little grease cups of deliciousness! The crust had a chew that was perfect and complimented the toppings for both the cheese bread and pizzas! The side of fries were fresh and the ranch was pretty good! Their sweet tea was banging! As someone originally from Long Island a couple of blocks outside Queens this place reminds me of a New York Pizzeria in all the good ways. The crust is New York thin, the sauce and cheese ration is just right, too much sauce and it drips everywhere, too little it has no taste. It's the right ratio. We needed a place to get a quick bite on July 3rd without waiting in line for a long time. Ran over to Sneads Ferry from North Topsail. Had a party of 4. Ordered a large pizza at the counter to eat in. I wanted a supreme or a meat lovers. Got out voted 3 to 1 and went with half cheese and half pepperoni. I sneaked in an order for garlic knots. Grabbed a number and sat down. Garlic knots arrived first. If you like garlic and fresh bread this is a winner. Sorry, no picture. The savages descended on the garlic knots before I could take one. Beware that these were HOT! Pizza arrived and we all enjoyed. Like the crust and the sauce. Would I come back? Yes, with no hesitation. Would I recommend to family and friends? Yes. I wanted to try this place a few nights ago and ordered online. But they cancelled it. No call or anything to even maybe say they weren't delivering anymore that night and offer to keep my order if I wanted to pick it up. Just cancelling it was a bit of a turn off. I decided to give them a try anyway. I called to order and just decided I'd pick it up. Ordered a pepperoni & sausage pizza. It was cooked well and tasted great! I also ordered the cheese fries with bacon. Unfortunately, these aren't super great. The flavor is good but the fries seem to be underdone underneath the well done cheese on top of them. The cheese seems to be just mozzarella as opposed to the typical mix of cheddar and mozzarella. But if you're in the mood for pizza... definitely a good place to go! read more

Well... a year later and there has been no improvement on this pizza. Most pizzeria's continuously make improvements, like better cheese, or sauce, or better crust. Here - nothing. The owner is happy enough to collect his usual amount of business and go home. My issue with this pizza is pretty basic. The undercarriage of this pizza is dry and hard to chew. This tells me that his hydration percentage for the dough is wrong and his oven deck is not hot enough. I'm done. Next time I'm in town this place will not see me again. read more

Randomly Walked into this establishment not knowing what to expect. Decor, NY Yankees memorabilia on the walls. It's a pizza/sub shop. Clean inviting large menu board plenty to select from. The Food was brought out to our table piping hot! That is always important and impressive. The time it took to make three subs that seemed to be a little longer than expected. But when they bring it to you and it's HOT! That makes up for the little longer than normal wait. The SIZE of the subs was impressive and the sandwiches were bursting with ingredients. There was actually more meat cheese and vegetables then there was bread. I only ate half and took the other half home for a second meal. All in all I would say it was a positive experience. Being from the Garden State, I am always on the lookout for good pizza and living down here in the South, I am frequently disappointed. However, this establishment offers a solidpiizza that is both very good and very big. The staff here are very pleasant and professional and I truly felt that they wanted to make sure that I had a positive experience all around. Everything about this pizza was a winner. We were really hoping to find a good (NY) pizza place in this area as per the reviews but sadly much disappointed. We got a small margarita pizza and a small white pizza. The only difference was the margarita had some slivers of tomato...both equally tasteless and with a thin hard crust. The smaller than expected small size eggplant sub was hot and good. Garlic knots should be chewy and soft but these were very hard (burnt in some parts), inedible. We were not told about 4% credit card fee; we only found out because we questioned why the amount on the receipt was different. We could have paid in cash! We may give them another try in hopes that the regular size pizza will be better crust and like the NY pizza we miss and want. Go to Nunzio's in Hampstead for better garlic knots. read more

I order from here once a week. It's really the only pizza place I order from in the area. It's solid pizza for Eastern NC. Sometimes, the pizza is a tad undercooked but I fix it by putting it in a pan for a few minutes to crisp up the bottom. Works like a charm. Crust has a good chew and the sauce and cheese is great. Amazing pizza combo-bacon, jalapeños, black olives, onions, and pineapples. The supreme pizza is always solid. My kids will destroy the meatballs and they are huge! Sandwiches are good too. We've gotten the philly and the pizzas in a bowl and those are pretty awesome when you're trying to be mindful of carbs. If you ever order dessert, make sure you check that you received it before you leave. They put the cold desserts in another area and tend to forget it. Cannolis are good. Zeppolis are good, rather simple and hard to mess up. Wouldn't recommend the tiramisu. It's dry and doesn't taste like the lady fingers were soaked in coffee. read more

We ordered a large supreme pizza today. It was ready quickly, still warm (at least) when we got to the house, and it was made correctly with our special request of leaving half without black olives. I can't ask for much more, honestly... Absolutely no complaints. It was good pizza and we all enjoyed it. I eaten here more than a few times now since 2013 or so. I've never been disappointed by the quality or quantity of food. I always enjoy their style of pizza when I get it. I think they have some of the best fried appetizers in the area. Their customer service is head and shoulders about other places similar to it. They don't make me feel like I'm an inconvenience every time I order food, pick it up, or ask for red pepper flakes. They have a win-every-time machine in there that I enjoy playing. I visited Denoia's pizzeria for the first time and was highly disappointed. I ordered the baked ziti with chicken and a 1/2 pepperoni- 1/2 cheese pizza. The baked ziti was brought to my table first. It was undercooked and was not baked at all. The sauce was soupy and lacked taste. The chicken was black (unsure what was used to give it this appearance) and the chicken was undercooked. 20 mins later... still waiting on pizza. I went up to ask for the pizza and was handed the pizza immediately. They had the pizza waiting behind the counter the entire time and not once informed us it was ready. The pizza was undercooked. The dough was mushy and you would tell the difference between the cooked and raw dough on the pizza. I brought the pizza to the front desk to inform them of the issue and was told the dough was cooked, even when I rubbed the dough to show them just how undercooked it was. Picture provided as proof. This is a local pizza shop in a small community area. Their lack of food quality produces a health hazard to their customers. Above that, their lack of honesty when presented an issue is unprofessional. This was truly a highly disappointing experience. read more

Took the 2 pizzas home ; 11 people were extremely pleased with a large Supreme and a large simple pie. They were far better than expected,and larger than advertised.
