Instead, I was told there was nothing they could do, though they would remove the item from the bill. While I appreciate not being charged, I don't think that was the most appropriate solution because it essentially meant I didn't get to eat a main course. My husband still had his meal, so at that point it didn't seem worth leaving or trying to find food elsewhere after already spending around $70 on dinner (the pasta not included). If it had been much later in the evening, or I wanted to add something to my bill, I would have understood, but being only a few minutes past closing made the response feel disappointing. That being said, the service at the counter when ordering and also when receiving food at the table was kind and friendly. We went with an order of garlic cheese bread and a large 18 inch cheese pizza. I have no basis of comparison with regards to quality or price compared to other places in the Wilmington area, but $24 for a simple pizza without toppings seemed a bit expensive. Both items were decent, but wouldn't compete with the quality of pizza ingredients I'm used to in the NJ/NY/PA area. The pizza was cooked well with a great undercarriage, albeit a bit oily, but the cheese, sauce, and crust didn't compare to the great pizza I'm spoiled with back home. That said, nothing was particularly bad, so grading on a regional curve, I'd rate Brooklyn Pizza Company a 3.5/5, which I'm happy to round up since all the employees were friendly, and it was a decent dinner overall.
