I loved the customer service and great of prices and selection the pizza is! The plain cheese was not that great to me...However, it was the sauce I did not like. I loved the crust!!! I would definitely love to try their specialities!

Before hearing about WilmyWoodie, I only half kidding suggested my friends and I start a pizza food truck, because Wilmington really needed one. I'm sure glad I didn't start my own, because it seems WilmyWoodie would have had me beat by a mile. The truck itself looks super clean and impressive. My pizza was quite good, but I'd like to give the other options a taste test as well. If you try my strategy, you can eat 2 slices and save 2 slices to relive the glory the following day.

Tried this food truck because my dad has been talking about it and it happened to be in Leland this past weekend which is close to us. The outside of the truck is stunning I love the colors and how clean it looks. The staff is also super friendly and inviting. I ordered the Jax Hawaiian which was ham and pineapple. The pizzas are a good personal sized pizzas and easy to take with you anywhere in there small pizza boxes. The pizza was okay nothing too amazing about it, i have had wood fired pizza before and I just wish this one was a little more crunchy. I would definitely try it again and maybe ask for it to be a little more well done.

UPDATE: still one of my fave food trucks. Today's order was the Two Beaches--flavors were balanced but rich, even the crust is delicious.

Had the pizza today in New Bern at a benefit for Alex. It was very good pizza. Crust was very flavorful and had a nice crisp on it. Toppings were very high quality and tasty. There was a huge crowd and it took a while to get a pizza but it was well worth the wait. Everyone was working hard the whole time to get the pizzas made. Great job. I will be on the lookout for anytime you are near New Bern.

This is what pizza should be. Creative ideas, proper preparation, and ideal execution in a food truck that looks (on the inside and out) better than most restaurants.

Had high hopes for this food truck, the first time I had it at Edward Teach it was really good but 2 out of the last 3 times it's looked like this, don't k now how this much carbon is supposed to enhance the taste, nice people just not so nice pizza

I lose my mind every time I see they are doing a pop up at the local breweries or other spots in Wilmington.

We visited Wildfire Pizza on Jun 21, 2026 for a takeout order. Although it was a 4-minute walking…read moredistance from where we were staying, we drove there anyway. The pizzas come only in 12" sizes. We ordered a plain cheese pizza, a margherita pizza and a spinach feta bread. We were told that the pizzas would be ready in 20 minutes; it was packed to go in 15. The spinach feta bread was ordered later and took almost as long as the pizzas to be ready. I realized why after I saw it. It looked like a pizza pie: round, same 12" size but cut into many smaller pieces - the pizzas were cut into 8 slices each. The margherita pizza is plain cheese pizza with tomatoes and sprinkles of crushed vegetables. The taste left much to be desired. The important thing is that it fed us. The feta bread is plain cheese pizza with way too much cheese, and the spinach not evenly spread across the pie. Why even called it "bread" when it was made like pizza? There was plenty left for tomorrow's dinner, meaning that we liked it enough to not throw them away. The staff are college-aged young except for one guy who appeared to be in his 70s. There are a limited number of tables for dine-in, but the limited space don't make it dine-in friendly. While Wildfire Pizza is one place we will not be returning to.

On both the April order and our most recent order we had gotten pizzas and cheesy bread. The first time both the pizza and cheesy bread tasted amazing. On the second order one of the pizzas had a very large hair in the crust, and the order arrived extremely cold. In all fairness the coldness was in part to us using a third party delivery system as opposed to from the restaurant itself. The hair in our second order definitely was off puting and I don't know if we will risk it again.

Stopped in the other night on our way through the state and so glad we did! A gentleman (whom I believe was the owner), recommended the hand tossed pizza as they make the dough from scratch. Soooo good! It's wood fired so it's gonna get a little char on the bottom which makes it even more delicious! The gentleman we spoke with was also very knowledgeable about the beer offerings and helped guide us. They have a great little play area out front so they're very family friendly. I wish they had a place like this where I live. Can't recommend enough!

I appreciated the thorough review from the first to review Yelper! So I'll get right to it. The parking had initially scared me until I arrived yesterday. There was a nice gentleman directing cars/trucks to spots or to overflow lots. Super helpful! The main bar is smack dab in the middle with Wilmywood on the one side and the stage and bottle shop on the other side. The building is like an old airplane hangar which is super cool. To get a beer or wine, be patient. It's a bustling bar and they'll get to you! I'm not a big beer drinker but I tried 2 on my friend's suggestion. We used the QR code to order from the food truck. We got the hand tossed because the kids would like it better. I wish I had brought some wipes or something because the napkins weren't enough to put your slice of pizza on and then wipe your hands or face. Good, flavorful pizza and they were quick!! Looking forward to going back!

It was clean, loud, good loud filled with conversation and laughter. Unfortunately, my pasta was extremely overcooked. It was so soft that I couldn't even pick it up with a fork without it falling apart. The photo shown shows just how shredded the pasta was when I picked it up. The sauce itself was delicious, which made it even more disappointing because the pasta was basically mush. I brought it to their attention, and they apologized, but then told me the kitchen was closed. I believe they stop serving at 9:00 p.m., and it was only 9:03 p.m. when I mentioned the issue. Whether the kitchen was technically closed or not, fixing the dish would have only required boiling a small portion of pasta and adding some of the sauce that I assumed was already prepared. I mean it was literally 3mins past 9pm there's no way they cleaned the kitchen and packed up that quick. There were still multiple tables here. Instead, I was told there was nothing they could do, though they would remove the item from the bill. While I appreciate not being charged, I don't think that was the most appropriate solution because it essentially meant I didn't get to eat a main course. My husband still had his meal, so at that point it didn't seem worth leaving or trying to find food elsewhere after already spending around $70 on dinner (the pasta not included). If it had been much later in the evening, or I wanted to add something to my bill, I would have understood, but being only a few minutes past closing made the response feel disappointing. The flavors were excellent, and up until that point the experience had been very good. I really wanted that pasta too haha. The sauce was so good. I hope they handle situations like this differently in the future.
