I absolutely hate the dentist (childhood trauma LOL) and Mint makes it a great experience. I have been going to Mint Addison for about 3 years, then had to switch to a different dentistry chain due to insurance changes and my goodness was I ready to go back to Mint! I went in today to the Mint Uptown location for an annual checkup with a cleaning and was VERY pleased with my experience! Upon check in, Danna was kind and helpful. My dental assistant was Brigham who did a wonderful job. He had such a great attitude! My dental hygienist was Taylor and she was gentle, yet thorough. Dr. Spence had excellent bedside manner and was able to take care of a chipped filling same day. I am very grateful these people work at my new Mint location! :) read more

Been visiting this office for about 3 years now. It's easy to make an appointment & usually pretty quick. Keep in mind you will never see the same dentist. This last time I went I noted on all my information I was over 20 weeks pregnant. The hygenist came in wanting to take X-rays, which I was not comfortable with. The dentist then came in offering to lay two lead blankets on me. When I still declined she quickly walked me out and told me I would have to reschedule after delivering. I contacted the Cedar Hill, TX location 2 days in a row to confirm if they accept my insurance to be told yes they did, but on the day of the appointment as I was parking my vehicle I received a text message that they DID NOT ACCEPT MY INSURANCE. I was LIVID as I took off from work to come to this appointment. I asked to speak to the office manager and the young female pointed at another young female that had a nonchalant attitude about the situation. I said a few choice words in regards to her not showing any remorse or taking any accountability for their error. I tried to call corporate to complain but the number I was given 4696161344 only plays MUSIC, no Live Agent, No Options. First visit (June 2024), I came in for a cleaning and almost left before my appointment because the front desk was so rude and couldn't be bothered. It was my first impression of the office and my gut told me to run. The rest of that visit went well and the hygienist and dentist were both great and I decided to book my next cleaning with them again. Second visit (Sept 2024), I came in for a cleaning. Same rude lady was working the front desk, but I was expecting her at this point, so I wasn't surprised. Unfortunately, I was treated by a different hygienist this time who took me back and sped through the cleaning. It was by far the roughest cleaning I've ever had and I'm not sensitive at all, it didn't last long though, my 2:30p appointment was over by 2:36p. Such a bad experience. Needless to say I won't be back. I like the concept of Mint dentistry, but at this particular office it feels like staff don't want to be there and take it out on you. 1/2/2025 - Entered Mint Dentistry, Fairmount Street in Dallas, Texas, and was told by receptionist that I would have to have X-rays taken today. I said, I wanted to sign the form to waive my x-rays, and she said it wasn't possible. I said, "I don't want them."" She said they are required. I said "by whom, You? or the State of Texas." She said, "it's OUR policy." I said, "then they aren't required, and I don't want them." A passing employee said that they were required by 'the board'. I said, "So, you are FORCING me to have X-rays." The receptionist said, "Yes." I gave up and had the x-rays done and a cleaning which cost $200. A subsequent conversation with their Office Manager revealed that MINT Dentistry is requiring X-rays every six-months. NO ONE, unless they are having severe dental problems, should be forced to have X-rays every six months. This is robbery, unethical and potentially a health hazard to anyone who has thyroid issues (like me). They also automatically signed me up for their $15/month membership which I didn't want and I have written to the provided email address to cancel. I have not yet seen if the membership was cancelled. While waiting on the tech to take the X-rays, I looked up the Texas laws that say a patient has the right to refuse X-rays and that a Dr. has the right to refuse service if that is their decision. Great. That's fine. I would have walked out. It has been less than 4 years since my last x-rays, and I am experiencing NO problems and find Mint's required X-ray policy and LIES by the staff intolerable and a total rip-off. I want consumers and potential patients to be aware and educated. Find a real dentist and not a rip off company. read more

The entire experience felt very rushed. I took time off of work to attend my appointment and did not receive the full service that I should have. I came in for a new patient cleaning which is supposed to include complimentary teeth whitening. I did not receive the teeth whitening. Towards the end of my appointment the staff told me that I would not be receiving the whitening treatment due to them being understaffed and I would need to schedule a secondary appointment for the whitening. I should have been informed of this before my appointment even started. Very disappointing experience, I would not recommend coming here. read more

She just started hacking away at my teeth for a so-called cleaning that let me with bloody glasses. It wouldn't have been as bad if I didn't hear them interacting positively with other customers. Sitting me in a room with a broken light how are you going to fix someone's teeth without an overhead light. Mind you this is the second time ,first time one of the assistant threw a bag of toothpaste at me. I tell from the way they were treating other customers if they did not need to be there. No. Terrible experience. After asking questions about the services and what's included in the plan, I decided to move forward based on the information provided by the rep who scheduled the appointment as well as the staff in the office. I mentioned the advertisement of a whitening kit provided on the visit and was told it would be provided by staff. After the dentist spent 5 minutes in the room with me...I asked again about the whitening kit and was told that it wasn't that strong and would only lighten teeth a couple shades but not the filling in front. I didn't mind that because I was only concerned about a little whitening to help with coffee stains. After the front desk secretary went over the thousands of dollars I would have to pay to finish treatment...I told her I will make appointments at a later time when I was prepared to pay for the first treatment. I asked for the whitening kit and it was not provided. This is the kind of office that is money hungry and will lie and say anything to get you in the seat. Just be mindful, in my opinion, the money is more important than them caring for your teeth. I asked for a refund due to the false advertisement and deception of three dentist....I was then directed to speak with patient feedback team, who seems to be one person named. Maggie. Maggie provided partial info, not prompt to call backs, was misleading, and rude. The customer service.is terrible and has caused me a considerable amount of stress. I want my $150 refund for this dental membership and Maggie gave me the impression that I would get it. Instead, they mailed me a check for $50 and mailed me another person's refund check. The terrible customer service and incompetence, along with the false advertisement is unbearable. It's no wonder they have lawsuits and many complaints surrounding this same issue. read more

When I went to their office in February/March, they had me sign up for their smile direct club because it would help me pay for the root canal... but then as they started the procedure they said it would only be a filling and the smile direct club would not apply to this procedure so I would not need it since it would not be able to help me pay for that. She said she would not be able to cancel my club account but that her office manager would be able to. After looking at my bank account, they have been charging me every month since March. When I called to talk to the office manager (Kelsey... who refused her staff to give me her name even though I already had it) said she couldn't cancel my account but thay she would have someone call me. What a scam. Im so frustrated that I ever went to this company who clearly scams people out of money and pretends like they can't do anything. If you aren't doing anything wrong, why would you refuse to give your name? Seems shady to me. Please don't go here. I'm so upset that they think treating people like this is okay. Due for a cleaning from the dozens of texts and emails they've sent lol. I called to schedule and make sure I wouldn't have the same person cleaning my teeth. Got her name-- Sunny-- wanted to help others on here and say AVOID! Saw a couple reviews down below about rough cleanings and if the person was blonde (with clumpy mascara) I bet it was Sunny. I remember stopping her several times because she was hurting me. The receptionist apologized to me when I asked if it was standard procedure to offer to numb every patient for their teeth cleaning and she said no it isn't and she would make a note. So I love Mint dentistry been a customer for 2 years now. All my other dentists I feel like we're always pushing something to increase revenue. I remember once I had a gum infection and was convinced to buy trays and gel which was essentially peroxide for $800 not covered by insurance. When I researched it the website was targeted to dentists to increase their revenue. All I really needed was 2 weeks of mouthwash and get on my floss game and I was good. Mint doesn't try to push ancillary services or chastise you for drinking coffee or wine. I actually like going to the dentist now and am flossing regularly and never miss an appointment. Also the cleanings are quick and they use great tools like the ultrasonic scaler that removes plaque without pain. Oh and I had a massage chair which was a nice touch. Terrible experience! Not sure why so many good reviews. Nothing on their voicemail about massage chair, headphones, sunglasses, exceptional care was true in my experience. More importantly, the hygienist was painful and splashed water and gunk all over my face while cleaning my teeth. She flossed SO hard into my gums I had to pull away and tell her she was hurting me and I could taste blood from my gums. She blamed it on the floss. The girl that took my x-rays and my whitening tray impressions did a terrible job as well. The trays are poor quality and don't fit whatsoever, I can't believe they didn't try these on me before I left. I called two days later and was able to get in that afternoon to get my impressions redone (only positive in my entire experience). Also, I called to see Dr. Spence and confirmed several times it was with that doctor but I was still somehow seen by another doctor! They said they didn't have any notes that said my appointment was specifically for Dr. Spence which is ridiculous because my several annoying confirmations said dr Spence. Every visit has been enjoyable for me, and that's saying something coming from a girl who is picky about where her pearly whites get pampered. Reasons why I love this place below. - The office staff (front desk) are pleasant and easy to work with when it comes to scheduling and billing. - The dentists and hygienists take time explain what they will be doing as well as go over treatment options, if needed. Also, the hygienist are great at getting you in and out quick, a teeth cleaning takes about 10mins maybe 15mins tops from start to finish! - I love that they offer free whitening trays for new patients. Who doesn't love free stuff? - After any sort of dental work they play an aftercare video for you to watch and the staff call you a couple days later to check in and make sure you're feeling okay. - The operatories are clean and the dental chairs are equipped with heating and message tech - score! Mint Dentistry does exactly what they advertise. It is doc in the box basic dental care which works well for very basic dental services like cleaning. I would not trust them with significant dental work. The cleaning was adequate but definitely not the best I've ever had. There was no careful assessment of my gum health nor were noted concerns addressed. Much of the appointment is spent on machine diagnostics without consideration of a patient's history. Before making recommendations for extensive dental services, a good dentist looks at prior records for comparison. That's not what happens at Mint. Before you know it, they are seeing expensive "needs* that no one has seen before them. Second, patients need to be very careful with signing that waiver forcing arbitration for potential medical malpractice. That's always an extreme red flag for me. It is not mentioned when patients are booking appointments nor before you arrive at the office. Patients need to have it in writing in advance of the appointment so that they can carefully read it and know exactly what they're signing off on. read more

Absolutely the best dentist in town! Dave is super kind and very VERY sweet. I haven't seen a denstist in years and instead of getting the "denstist chiding"/shaming, Dave assured me it wasn't bad for xx years. Was told they can fix me up and get me going with treatment. Boom. No shame or guilting here at Mint. You go in to solve a problem and they are here to help you fix it. (Solution oriented). Insurance is accepted and the pricing is very reasonable. I look forward to getting my dental work completed here! ABOUT THEIR $5.00 PLAN - I wish they have more details about the plan...not sure how it works. (Fine print/over all plan breakdown). They emphasize the free teeth whitening gel, but fail to mention what's actually covered, how long you have to stay enrolled, or any other important details. I'll upload a picture of the pamphlet. Decent branding: They feel solid and highly recognizable in DFW. Not you're typical "toothy" logo, and the name even feels clean. Atmosphere: The reception is small, but it's clean and chic with nice seating and decor. There's always someone ready to give you water bottles while you wait. When it came time for the main event, I had a nice room with huge windows that looked onto the street and people walking by. Efficiency: Between the latest dental technology equipment to their experienced tag-team performance, MINT isn't messing around. There wasn't a wasted moment, and they even communicate with each other like special agents through integrated ear gear. People: Everyone is pretty or handsome with great teeth, not to mention super friendly and professional. It's like a commercial that became reality. So I've been due a cleaning for the longest time and my job provides dental insurance for us and Mint is part of our network. Everyone says that Mint is amazing so I have them a chance. Everything was AMAZING!!! I walked in and the two young ladies behind the desk warmly welcomed me and had me fill out my new patient forms (which were very simple to fill out). They provided me with an iPad and Beats headphones so I can pass the time in the lobby of the office while I waited to be called back. The doctor and doctors assistant were so kind and incredibly knowledgeable about everything I needed. My cleaning procedure went by very quickly and I felt so fresh afterwards. I got a free whitening tray that came with my PPO dental insurance. Overall if anyone needs dental office that makes you feel at home, Mint in Uptown is the place to go. read more

I was honestly perplexed at the quantity of positive reviews until after reading them it seems they offer an incentive if you post a positive review. My experience was 2 stars at best as the cleaning was abrasive and the majority of the staff was highly unprofessional. I went for a regular cleaning as my usual dentist was booked up with the short window I had prior to switching jobs/insurance. The fact they had an opening the next day should have been my first clue. After arriving, I wasn't seated for more than 20 minutes though I had completed all paperwork online. Other than the seating area, the office is tight and dated. There are scuff marks all over the wall, old school mirrored halls, no natural light and terrible fluorescent lighting. The staff was curt and impersonal but far worse they literally shout to each other between the office. There were several times the hygienist working on me screamed out to the office assistant out in the lobby down the mirrored hall... It was honestly the most bizarre and unprofessional dental cleaning I've ever experienced. Most importantly, the cleaning was far sub par to any others I've received in the past. The doctor checks you before the cleaning so there was no quality control of the hygienists work. I walked away feeling like it was a complete waste of time- hopefully this spares you from the same experience! read more

Andrew was an excellent dental assistant who was able to xray me without any pain. Usually I do get some in the past dental visits but it went well and they protected my thyroid and gonads. They provided sunglasses to protect my eyes. The doctor, Dr Fatima, explained the xrays to me and the best way to protect my jaw for the future. I have also seen them for crown in the past, and they were able to 3D print a crown, match the shade of my teeth so it looked natural and have a copy in case the crown malfunctions. read more
