I ended up needing a crown, and they handled everything right then and there, no temporary fix, no waiting weeks for a crown. The fact that they were able to complete the entire procedure on the spot was impressive on its own, but what stood out even more was the quality of the work and the care behind it. Jackie and Dr. Rob were exceptional. They walked me through everything, made sure I felt at ease, and checked in constantly throughout the process. Lol when I told her I was upset about her filing my teeth down - looks very chopped off and there is Space between my teeth now that shows daylight between my teeth - she told me " Im concerned about you" ie gaslighting - I wish I never set foot in this office such a disappointment. The rest of the staff is super nice & Dr Stino also nice but I have never been to a Dentist that just did whatever they wanted & tell you about it afterward- extremely presumptuous- without explaining and Asking permission. I had a standard cleaning and x-ray check up, and afterwards, Mrs. Rojas checked my x-rays and mentioned that there appears to be potential cavities based on the x-rays. As a preventative measure, she recommended Silver Diamine Fluoride. I never heard of this, and I asked her if there were any side effects. She said it was safe and it's often applied to children (she also added that it was safe in that she applies it to her own son). I took Mrs. Rojas word and she made the first of two applications. I came home and noticed on the bottom of my lip a black mark. After googling Silver Fluoride side effects, one is that it can turn your teeth black and can also blacken the skin. I called up Mrs. Rojas, and asked her why she didn't mention this side effect, especially when I asked her about potential side effects. She said she didn't remember that I asked the question, and that the side effect of blackening teeth/skin is very rare. I was astonished that she said she didn't recall me asking, and even more astonished that she knew of the side effect. The Silver Fluoride requires two applications. I told her that I do not want to be charged and I'm not taking the second application. She said that the side effect is no reason for her not charging me, and that the benefits of preventive cavity treatment outweigh the potential side effects of blackened teeth/skin. This answer from Mrs. Rojas is alarming. Her judgment as a health care professional is off and her ethics are questionable . I can not trust Mrs. Rojas after this experience, and I'm hoping this side effect is not permanent.

Prior to the appointment I received e-documents to complete (normal paperwork), multiple appointment reminder texts, and confirmed insurance coverage. I emailed previous oral history, x-rays so only needed to take a few x-rays and then Dr. Tilden came in to complete the cleaning. He said everything looked good, I'm just use to more scraping and cleaning (maybe they are just more OCD) and I wasn't offered a fluoride rinse. None of that is a deterrent for me to be a return client. Best part was I received a new toothbrush, toothpaste, and floss as a parting gift! He then recommended I purchase a Burst electric toothbrush and showed me how to use it and proper flossing techniques. I reached out online and told them how much pain I was in. They took my pain seriously, emailed me back quickly, and booked an appointment for me with short notice. I was embarrassed because I knew my teeth were in bad shape. But everyone I talked to from beginning to end was so warm and friendly that I felt comfortable right away. After Dr. Schoening examined my teeth, I was referred to an oral surgeon (who was also excellent) to deal with some teeth that couldn't be saved. And Dr. Schoening came up with a plan to get my other teeth in good shape. I had a deep cleaning, which must have been a real chore for Dr. Schoening with how bad my teeth were. But Dr. Schoening never made me feel ashamed. He made sure I was physically comfortable as he worked, and he did an excellent job on my teeth. I'm so relieved to have found such an excellent dentist, and the entire team is incredible. My teeth feel and look a lot better.
