It was inevitable that some moron was going to dent my car door by not being careful or just plain having no respect for other's property. Well it happened and I wasn't quite sure what the best way was to fix it. Figuring that having it fixed at the dealership would be a rip off , I decided to look on Yelp. That's when I happened to stumble upon Rich's company. I called Rich up and he was quick to pick up. He walked me through the whole process on how he repairs dents and dings. After talking with Rich, I scheduled an appointment with him for the weekend. I also decided that since he was coming to fix my car, he might as well look at my wife's 1 year old minivan which had some sort of dent on the roof. A small crack turned into a foot long crack on the drivers side of my windshield overnight and I was bummed out! After being told there was a one week delay to get my entire windshield replaced (by another company) I turned to Yelp to find a service that could come to me the same day. I called up and there was no answer, but 5 min later Rich called me back and asked how he could help. Rich was super kind, VERY knowledgeable about the industry and quick to act. He explained to me the different options for a repair vs. replacement as well as the types of glass available and gave his professional recommendation. I then called my husband to chat it over and called Rich back, and at that point he had done the footwork to find out the replacement cost for my van window and gave me the info. I decided to go for the entire window replacement and Rich had his business partner Moses call me two minutes later. Moses sent out Antonio that afternoon (so prompt!) and Antonio replaced my window in 30 MINUTES! I paid with my credit card and was able to continue my day. Believe all the positive reviews! My husband and I both had chips in our windshields, and had been putting off getting them fixed. I finally decided to take care of them, got an estimate from Safelite, then decided to check Yelp for more options. Found Rich, he gave me a much better estimate, and set an appointment for the next day. He came to the house, and fixed both cars for not much more than the other place wanted for one! First of all how in the heck are ALL the reviews 5 star? I have never seen ANY business be all 5 star. Because of all these "good" reviews I called this guy when my car windshield had a chip in it. The owner did respond fast and we discussed the fee over the phone. He came over fast as well and was very nice. Upon arrival he raised the agreed upon price. I also noticed he carried with him all his 5 star reviews in a notebook. HMMMMMMM?? We chatted about this and that-his kids mainly while he worked on my car. When he was done from the outside it appeared that the chip was invisible and I was pleased so I sent him on his way. When I checked in the morning in the light you could clearly see the chip from inside the car. This will surely damage my resale value. In no way what was promised was delivered. read more

Yup, Rich is all that. I got a nice 1/4th inch spiderweb crack in my windshield driving to work, so I hopped onto yelp and found this review. I followed Joz Joz's advice about cleaning the area with a clean tissue and covering the area with some clear adhesive tape, I also opened the windows since I'd be leaving the car in the sun all day. The tape was a great move because that evening, it rained! Anyway, I called Rich the next day, he told me he'd be up in the Santa Monica/WLA area in two days. While he doesn't necessarily require you be there for the repair, he does need access to the interior of the car and it has to be parked in the shade. Not only did he fix the crack to near invisibility (I had to SEARCH for the repair!), but he also dissed some previous windshield crack repair I had done at a place out of the yellow pages a few years ago. It confirmed my suspicions about that previous repair... that crack was smaller, yet they left a much more noticeable spot than Rich's repair (and I had that one repaired within 2 hrs of getting the crack!) read more

Based on Joz Joz's review. I decided to give Rich a call... he was prompt, courteous, wonderfully amiable, and very informative. The crack I had was about four inches to the left and another eight inches to the right- it was a big rock chip that cracked and spread. Rich spent a good two hours helping me fix the windshield and for a very reasonable price. Prior to meeting with Rich, most of the other places wouldn't even touch the windshield for repairs- stating that they couldn't repair it. This review is long overdue, but I have to give an update on my most recent experience with Rich and Dents Out Plus. A few months ago, I got another windshield crack and called Rich to schedule an appointment for the repair. Just as last time, Rich was very friendly and professional, keeping a cheerful attitude even though he was swamped with repair jobs that day. He did a great job, and the windshield crack is not even visible. Not only that, but he also noticed another small crack that I hadn't seen when I made my appointment, and repaired that as well. To top it off, he even touched up the repair he did on the star break crack from my first review. Mind you, that repair was still intact, though it had become more noticeable over time from windshield wipers, weathering, etc. So Rich touched it up and it now looks like it did the first day he made the repair. I used this company because of a referral from a friend, but also because of all the great reviews on Yelp! My first ever door ding on my BMW 328i coupe after 2 years! So sad when that first one happens, but luckily Rich saved the day. It wasn't huge, but it was noticeable if you knew where to look. Regardless I wanted to get it fixed. Rich is pretty busy, so it might take some time to get back to you. I had to call him twice, but he still remembered that I called and was actually out the next day to work on my car. I work in Van Nuys so he actually was able to come out to my office to work on the car. No time losed here. He showed up and inspected the car for any more dents. I knew immediately that Rich was very good at this when he spotted dents quickly. You just develop an eye for this if you're experienced. I think it took 10 minutes to remove the dent. Perfect job. I got a dent from a Yakima Kingjoe Pro 3 in a weird spot on the hatch of my Forester. I called Rich at Dents Out for an estimate and sent him a picture. He told me it didn't look like it was possible to repair 100% due to the location of the dent. But he said he'd visually inspect it to give a better opinion. He checked it out the next day and gave me a competitive honest quote of $225 (versus $325 from another vendor that had some sketchy Yelp reviews and a $1000 body shop repair). He was honest about not able to fix it 100% due to the dent's location (edge of the rear fender where the paint has already been stretched out). He recommended me to go to a local body-shop if I want to get this fixed completely, which will definitely be more expensive. I am still debating on which option to take, but so far I like Rick's honestly and professional suggestion. He is also not pushy at all.
