Went two times, the first for a slight rash(not cured by this office) and the second for an annual checkup both in the summer of 25. Eight hundred plus dollars later(with Insurance) I was able to get treated by Dermatology Affiliates thankfully. My insurance claimed this was not billed correctly under the annual, but as elective testing. I've come here to see Dr. Paré for a full body scan, and then a separate appointment for a small mole removal. She has such a warm and friendly presence, it really made me feel at ease and comfortable. The mole removal was painless and she provided lots of helpful resources. However, I was a bit bummed to find out that this took 2 separate appointments, as the waiting room time was the worst (40min wait for the 1st, 50min wait for the 2nd). I'm not sure if this is an administrative error with overbooking appointments, but I wish they'd become a little more organized in that sense. read more

I spent $2000 on a treatment which consisted of 4 sessions, which were only 20mins long. (80mins in total for $2k....That's $25/minute!) Afterwards, the esthetician even admitted that she doesn't see results from this procedure. They're also expensive, so make sure you shop around. A friend had the microneedling procedure for $5k, and says it was a waste of money. No results from this treatment. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Please be careful. Do your research. I've been seeing Nick in the aesthetic department of Dermatology Consultants for about a year. He was referred to me by some physicians that I trust and work with at a local hospital, they don't see just anyone. He did not disappoint. I've had BBL laser done by others and it was painful and took forever. Nick is efficient yet gentle and thorough. Nick is also charming and professional. BBL isn't an "easy" procedure, especially on tender areas of the face but he makes it easy. He most recently did a FrozenC on me that was such a relaxing experience. I can't recommend Nick enough. The facility is clean and modern, feels like a spa day. And Nick is SO gentle when he washes my face, it just feels like being nurtured and pampered. I scheduled a routine skin consultation as I had a few areas of concern. Dr. Barrett, whom I located on the ZocDoc app, accepted my insurance Federal BC/BS, and did a thorough exam: biopsied a couple of areas, removed skin-tacks, and treated some sun spots with liquid nitrogen. Upon departing, I paid a $40 co-pay and thought the matter was settled---see her in a year for a follow up, but was also notified that if anything popped up from the biopsies that I might be called with the results and also might need to schedule a follow-up visit. Not once did I think that I'd be charged for any co-insurance. Well, as an earlier reviewer pointed out, this office will charge above and beyond what is "allowable" for your insurance, leaving you with an unpaid balance. While I appreciate the professional service, I do not appreciate nontransparent practice of "charge first" ask the patient unapologetically later to pay, especially in these challenging times. So imagine my surprise when I found out at the register upon my follow-up visit that I had an outstanding $110 co-insurance payment due for procedures that were above the reimbursable threshold of my insurance carrier (Blue Cross / Blue Shield) and another Co-pay of $40 was also due. The registrar couldn't tell me whether further co-insurance fees were due. Had I been given the opportunity to say "Doc, please only treat me up-to my COPAY and whatever my insurance allows. I would have been content." Now, however, I am holding my breath. I would say, buyer beware, and when you complete your paperwork at the office to be sure that the office's billing department only treats you for what your insurance can bear, otherwise it will be coming out of your pocket. Not an unreasonable request, and if this office can't help you here, go elsewhere. This office is scheduled to relocate within 3 miles of its present location. read more

The doctor never touched me she only looked at a cyst on my chest. Dr. Par'e refused to use my insurance after Humana said she was in network. I received a bill for $169.05. I inquired about the bill and was told it was my copayment. Take under consideration that my insurance company says I don't have to pay copayments because of my coverage. I was advised by Humana not to pay it as they were already paid. I started getting phone calls from them, so I agreed to pay them &10 a month until balance was paid. Unbeknownst to me they sent my bill to an attorney 's office by the name of Carter-Young. Received letter from them yesterday stating they are representing Dermatology consultants PC. I paid $10 last month and due to pay another $10 this month but the $10 I paid last month doesn't reflect the total amount of the bill. Tried reaching out to Cater-Young and was met with nasty phone operator that said she see's where I paid the $10 last but that she wasn't going to go back and fourth with me about $10. I disconnected the call at that point. Do not go to dermatology consultants bc they are unprofessional and will not honor your insurance. I'm now being harassed by Carter-Young and I'm sure it's already on my credit report. So beware of dermatology consultants PC. read more

I had a 9:10 appt. scheduled with Anjeli Laungani. I had to fill out some paperwork and the assistant called me back at 9:16. I was very impressed because I thought I'd have to wait longer. Once in the room, the assistant asked me a few questions, gave me a paper gown to put on, and told me the doc would be right with me. I sat in this smoldering hot room, due to bright lights, until 10:00 and the doc never showed up. I put on my clothes and told the clerk at the front desk, it was 10:02, that the doc never showed up, so I was leaving. On top of sitting around the dermatology office for 52 minutes, I had to pay $5.00 to park. I have no comments about other doctors at this office, but I DO NOT recommend seeing ANJELI LAUNGANI! This was by far the worst experience I have ever had with a medical professional in my life. the woman at the front desk was very rude and visibly did not want to take the time to read the documents she wanted me to sign, kept saying it's just HIPAA. The nurse who first saw me was nice, the dermatologist didn't even speak or say any greeting and kept asking the same questions in different ways as if that was going to change my answer. Worst $300 "hydrafacial" of my life. I want to preface this by saying that I never write reviews. I typically just swallow my feelings and go about my day so that I don't offend anyone. However, I think that sharing my experience may be helpful for anyone looking to splurge on a facial with Dermatology Consultants. It's not cheap. First, my esthetician was about 15 minutes late. When he greeted me, he didn't introduce himself, so I have no idea what his name it. Here's my honest feedback: - Beds are not inviting. I was told to "make myself comfortable" but pulling back the towels that the esthetician placed on top and the fully tucked quilt cover seemed like a task. So I laid on top and was cold throughout the session. - the esthetician left the room at least 3-4 times to get supplies. Was not prepared in advance. - my neck and décolletage were not incorporated in the facial. We all know that this is part of the face and should be treated. Especially for the money we are paying. Nope. Not touched. - no massage was incorporated as part of the facial. There's typically some type of facial massage or neck massage, hand massage. Nothing about today's facial felt luxe. The hydrafacial machine suctioned my face for about minutes each treatment. I think he gave me 3 serum treatments. The extractions were incredibly aggressive to the point I thought he was going to affect my chin filler. I think Massage Envy would have given a better facial than what I got today. I'm very disappointed. I've been following Dr. Pare on IG and watching all her IG live videos and really wanted to see the new office. The Esthetician I typically see at the E. Cobb office is way better. Not sure if it was an experience thing, or if they are being told to keep it minimal and quick. This will be the last time I visit them for facials. I will either go to the E. Cobb location or go to Artisan Beaute. I spent a fortune there last time about $350 on a facial, but I felt totally pampered and spoiled and they used top of the line products and were fun to talk to. I really hope that the office reads this review and takes into consideration my experience. People should walk away from your office wanting MORE, not disappointed or depressed. read more

I went here on a referral. I was concerned about a spot on my skin. My experience Booking the appointment gave me hope this was the best place. And upon arrival, the receptionists were great....but upon looking at my personal info in the patient portal, they wrote down my phone number wrong. So if they were to call me with any results, I never would've heard from them. During my appointment, my Dr was mentoring someone, so not only were they in the room but my Dr's Asst. too. And although she addressed the 2 areas on my skin that were my biggest concern, The appointment felt rushed. And I'm freckled so I guess I thought she would be more thorough. When I checked out with her asst. he quickly handed me a bag with ointment and bandaids. He was talking so fast I couldn't even understand what he was saying about how to care for my biopsy sight. I had to ask for more clarification. I used the ointment and bandaids and I had a terrible reaction to them. I switched to gauze and Vaseline. Then a little over a week later on a Friday, I received an email that said my results were in my patient portal. I received no phone call. I couldn't access the portal because I needed extra information from the office in order to set up a login and it was the weekend. So I anxiously waited all weekend knowing my results were in the portal. Then on Monday, I called and they had to send me the info via email in order to navigate the portal. I had to request that i speak to a Dr so they could explain the results to me but they said there wasn't one available at the time but they would leave them a message. Once inside the portal, I found it difficult to navigate. I had to reference a previous email in order to gain access to my results. Of course reading the results was like reading a foreign language. Finally the fast talking Dr's Asst called and quickly told me my results were fine. I guess I feel like when you are waiting to find out if you have skin cancer or not, the process should be more accessible with a more compassionate approach. the bedside manner in this office left something to be desired. The whole experience felt rushed and like they were just churning out patients. Glad my results were benign. But I'll never go back to this practice again. read more

My skin was never fully examined/biopsied/scraped..no blood test and I specifically have stated that I have a rash and it was just dismissed as acne. My skin clearly has some form of fungal infection/rash and it does not respond to acne treatment because it is not that. However I was given an acne treatment, asked to return in 3 months. I followed entire routine. Nothing worked because the issue is this same rash. Came again for my follow up appointment. Once again, Dr. Barnett never biopsied/tested/scraped etc my skin or performed any blood test for fungal infection..once again pressing that it is "just acne". Then I was told accutane is the next option. I was initially on board as I trusted this doctor. However I was refused this option because Dr. Barnett insisted on pressuring me to use birth control although I am not at all sexually active. Then I was basically shoved out the door with some medicine called Amzeeq. This was NEVER discussed with me. It is a topical medicine with no history. And again she NEVER tested my skin. Just pushing expensive and unnecessary "treatment" for something that you did not even confirm. Awful treatment. Leaving paitents to suffer unnecessarily while choosing to do the bare minimum. read more

Y'all, I just love this practice and the people there! It'd been more than a minute since I'd been in- and I can't remember what I went for last- but a week ago Friday I came home from work with the most horrific . . . break-out, rash, infection, I didn't know what, all over my arms, shoulders and chest. We have to wear button up dress shirts to work and I had the patio section that night but I had no clue what happened! I tried hydrocortizone and some other cream and it got only a tiny bit better. It was the Labor Day holiday weekend so I was kinda stuck on getting an immediate appointment and I was also hoping I'd not have to spend the $50 co-pay. But, alas, I had to get an appointment as soon as possible when it wasn't that much better by the middle of last week. I'd seen Jennifer before - so very nice, efficient and helpful!- so I was happily agreeable to seeing her this morning. My appointment was for 9:10, I arrived a few minutes early and after updating my insurance and other paperwork, was seen by 9:15. Turns out it was a viral infection- non-contagious and they don't know exactly why it happens but it does happen more to people with fair and sensitive skin like me- and I was out of there by 9:45, armed with a prescription for a super-powerful cream (it must be because after the first of two applications of the day my skin already is improved), instructions to take 24 hour Zyrtec, and a coupon for Cerave cleanser and moisturizer and lotion. Totally worth the co-pay, the $15 prescription and the money for the Zyrtec and Cerave potions. No more red blotchy things soon, I hope, and I can wear tank tops again for the last weeks of summer! read more

I waited 8 days to write this review because I was so frustrated after my last experience. Ultimately, I found it necessary, though. I'd been seeing Chhavi for eczema and have zero complaints. I'd asked about Botox consult and she referred me to Dr. Juneau who just happened to pop in and agree to go ahead and do it immediately. This is where things went awry. In summary: -$600 for initial forehead and around eyes Botox treatment -$40 for follow up to correct the initial treatment -30 minutes for initial visit (approx., not a long wait) -1 hr, 25 minutes for follow up -Total cost: $640 -Total time: 1 hr, 55 min & 2 trips Experience: I'll preface this with saying that I'm not a confrontational person and am pretty passive. I wanted my forehead & around the eyes done. I asked the assistant twice. She said "oh, they'll go over everything." The assistant numbs me, Dr. Juneau comes in, and it's over before I could think to ask a 3rd time. For this bit of Botox, I was charged $600. Although I felt the entire situation was a little pushy, I didn't say anything. I was told on my way out that I needed to make a 2-week follow up because Dr. Juneau likes to "make sure everything is alright." It was clear within a few days that it wasn't alright. I was completely asymmetrical. I made an appointment and then sat in the waiting room for about an hour before even being taken back. Dr. Juneau mentioned "oh yeah, you don't want to look like you're giving a creepy wink." She was very kind and corrected it. On my way out, the technician said "okay, I think you're good to go since this was a follow up." I then hear this woman behind the counter named Amie yell "no, he still needs to pay a copay." I walked to the counter, expecting to encounter a regular human. Instead, I got quite possibly one of the rudest, most surly, miserable souls I've ever had the misfortune of meeting. I mentioned "Oh, I thought this was a follow up because my Botox wasn't right." Her response, condescending, "well you still have to pay a copay, sir" as if I was trying to cheat her out of something or was just being cheap. I clenched my teeth and paid. The more I thought about it though, I still don't understand why I was asked to pay $40 copay for a cosmetic procedure that I was paying for out of pocket and not going through insurance. Amie was quite possibly one of the rudest people I've encountered in a long time. She asked me 3 times if I wanted a receipt and got visibly frustrated when she had to pivot her chair to pick up a piece of paper. I then walked through the sea of younger women with their masked pulled down and buried deep into their cell phones at the front desk (waiting room now not busy). Despite 4-5 of them being there, no one said goodbye or thanks, and I was on my way! I spoke to some friends who've had Botox and they were horrified by both the cost and experience I had. I feel like I was both overcharged and treated like garbage by this office. I shouldn't have had to spend this much time or money to get what I got. Lots of frustration and I cannot recommend. Dr Dobes is very thorough and caring. I can say the same thing for the other doctors and nurses. I have had several skin cancer conditions in my scalp and face through the years, so I need to have them monitor my skin and freeze and identify areas where problems could occur. I found the red light treatments very effective in clearing up my scalp and face and removing areas of potential skin cancer problems. read more
