Let's start off by saying my usual Doctor was not available. He's so booked & not to mention something simple takes an hour to get done. This was an ideal spot for me. I've had many nonsurgical procedures done as I have had horrible acne in my teens. Horrible to the point that I have uneven skin tones. I've had microderm with PRP, I've had Jessner Peels, Derma planing, botox, & cheek fillers done to me (again, with my usual Doctor). He was great but couldn't get an appointment. The first week of January, I booked an appt with DermaFX & was placed with Nina. The staff is Extremely friendly & the services were as I hoped. Again, not my first rodeo & knew what I was in for. Took me back. I had a very first appt & it did take about 30 minutes since it was a consult & I wanted to know about Fraxel as well (this I have yet to do & would be my very first time). Nina was VERY thorough & answered all my questions including the major differences between Fraxel & IPL. She did my botox & it seemed light. Now being that it's been almost a month, I still have visible forhead wrinkles. She supposedly did 50 units of Botox but, no definitely no where near that. I am a bit disappointed but I guess I'd have to book in advance with my usual Doctor with Medical Grade Botox as I think there product was either not potent or she didn't give me a full 50 units. Talk about a drive by (needle) shooting. The front desk staff were friendly, welcoming, and helpful. I cannot describe my experience with the NP in the same manner. Quite cold and rushed, the service truly felt like a drive by "get in and get out". Perhaps it is that the DermFx business model just isn't for me as I do not believe that anyone, regardless of having previously received cosmetic procedures, should even offer a 10 minute injection appointment time slot as an option (ideally a 15 minute minimum appointment time allows for clients new and returning + experienced and inexperienced to voice concerns, give updates, and feel safely taken care of). Additionally, the NP I saw was training a new employee, also contributing to an impersonal, already highly rushed service. In the end, the analysis of facial muscles/best place to have the Botox injected was rushed thus inaccurate and ineffective for both forehead and masseter. I experienced brow drooping and uneven muscle atrophy of the masseters as the Botox settled. DermFx just wasn't for me. Despite having previously gone to other medical spas, I would not recommend selecting any service time slot for anything less than 15mins. Everyone is different and a service like this could be perfect for you. However, cosmetic procedures are the same price regardless of a 10 minute or a 50 minute appointment and clients deserve a safe, conscious, and thorough procedure. read more

I had a session today where they injected Dysport for my TMJ problems. The whole experience was very straightforward and simple. Samantha Han was the nurse that did the injections. She was very friendly and explained the whole procedure from beginning to end. She talked me through everything she was doing and was extremely nice and professional and was very reassuring because this was my first time having the treatment. I hope the Dysport helps me with my TMJ pain and if it does I will for sure be coming back to DermFX for my next treatment. The whole staff was great but special kudos goes to Samantha! read more

Had a pretty good experience getting Botox on my forehead, crows feet and some lines under my eyes. I was a bit freaked out that there was no numbing available since I'm used to getting numbed but honestly didn't need it. They give you some ice and the lady was super gentle and quick. Everything about my experience today was absolutely wonderful I went with three of my sisters we all had the same thing. Vanessa was amazing! Also so was the front desk receptionist which I unfortunately did not get her name but they're both equally as amazing. I had nothing but good energy and helpfulness from both of them. I haven't experienced something like that before. Usually places like this have someone that's rude and stuck up but I did not see that AT ALL not even in the slightest. They botched my lips so bad. They were mad that they had to undo them and redo them. Every time I would go in they acted mad or rude. My lips looked so hideous and when I went back after they tried to fix them the girl said if we fix them this last time then you can't come back. The only person nice to me was the manager named Martha and technician Christina I was recommended there by a good friend and her and her sister stopped going cause if my experience.
