It use to be a kids play area but they change into a photo booth, claw machine game room so older folks can enjoy. Their food court menu has expanded too. It use to be mostly Korean food but now you have shave ice, fruits, salad and smoothie drinks. Which is great if you're not particularly wanting anything heavy. Yes price has increased but they are also updated and expanded to make the experience more pleasant which I appreciate. It being over 6 months that I last came and was pleasantly surprised. I stop going for a while because the price increased but the facilities stayed the same and a little underwhelmed but now I'm enjoying it little bit more. It seems like everything is just a little bit better now. I see the effort.

In all, if you're looking for a no frills laser hair removal spot where the people working there won't really speak to you, you've found your place!

Having booked the service, we were allowed to utilize the amenities located in the spa. In order to get to the spa (if you're not staying in the hotel), you had to drive into the front entrance of the hotel. This is located on the side opposite of PCH. The only real option to park is through valet service which the spa takes care of as part of the cost of the service. Our massages were booked for 2pm but we arrived around 11:30am to have lunch and enjoy the amenities. The food was pretty good and the servings were plentiful. We got a chicken Cesar wrap and the charcuterie board. You're able to eat and have the food brought over just like you were ordering room service, it was definitely room service cost and they charged for delivery to the garden. After we finished eating, we lounged in the garden to catch some sun. This is the part where I say that it almost fit the bill... the weather loved tents providing shade had mold on the canvas. Maybe it was just weather warn because it does stay outside all year round? Not sure but I'm thinking that it definitely looked like mold to me. After the sun, we enjoyed the indoor amenities of steam room, sauna and jacuzzi. For me, there a few other patrons enjoying the amenities but my boyfriend said that he pretty much had the men's locker room all to himself. My favorite part about the amenities was the shower. The shower had a rainfall shower, a handheld shower and then several steam shower heads on three of the walls. The products in the shower smelled great and I would definitely use them again. For our massages, we have the couples suite. The room was absolutely gorgeous complete with 2 massage tables, 2 sinks, a gorgeous tub, 2 separate showers this beautiful stone piece on the far wall. Massages were great and relaxing. After the massages, our massage therapists led us out to the garden again to pretty much recover from the service and it was definitely needed. Upon checking it out from our service, we perused the gift shop. There were cute clothing pieces there as well as the products that were utilized as part of some of the services. When paying, they let us know that the gratuity was already covered in the cost so that was nice. Given the cost for each service, I thought it was a generous but also fair tip. Because we finished late afternoon, we decided to walk down to the pier and venture around there. We were able to keep the car there and the hotel bellman allowed us to store our gym bags in the hotel as well, all at no extra cost. If I was looking to splurge again, I would probably come back. What would sweeten the deal is if we were able to use the hotel pool too but they said that it is only allowed during the weekdays when the pool isn't too busy.

Next to it was the access to the workout room. Which had various machines and weight equipment.

I was able to sleep 5-6 hours after the first 2 sessions. After the last session I was able to sleep 8 hours! No more insomnia. My body was all sore, tight, and ache-y and Kim knew it. She asked when was the last time I had a massage? Lol. Well more than a year ago! She gave hard massages so beware of the pressure but I love this kind of massage since it will fix my body. I came out as a brand new person. This is the best massage you can get. I am also a 15-years customer of this place. Erin Duffy is my stylist. She is talented, versatile, creative, pleasant and very professional. She is absolutely the best at cut and color! (I happen to know she is fabulous at make-up, too!) I would recommend her to anyone - even my really fussy friends. She patiently listens to what I want and does EXACTLY what I ask! I used to wear my hair very short and Erin helped me through the pain of growing it out and made it look good the entire time. That's pretty impressive. Now I get compliments all the time at work - especially from the men who LOVE how my hair looks. I even took a friend to her who wanted a perm (didn't know people actually still did that) and she was so delighted that she wants to go back soon. I LOVE getting my hair curled by Rachelle! She ALWAYS does an amazing job. She's is so friendly and easy to talk to. I have tried out a lot of different salons for styling and Rachelle is definitely the BEST!! Lately she has been using a round brush and a blow dryer to give my bangs a nice flare at the end. The hair spray she uses smells good and it leaves my hair shinny and soft not all crunchy and hard. Friday she did my hair and i showed her a picture and i liked how she noticed all these little details and it turned out WAY better than the photo i showed her! When I moved to the OC from LA, the biggest problem was finding a decent salon. I did not want the "OC Look"-that is barbie blond, fried hair. I like shiny, natural, wash and go hair. After several BAD salons, I decided to approach it scientifically. I was looking for a European salon with stylists trained in precision cutting. Well, I found just that at Desa. A beautiful, comfortable salon with no attitude at all. They want you to have a relaxing experience, and ask you to leave your kids at home which I LOVE. Tapia's color is very consistent and I get lots of compliments. The prices are reasonable for the quality, they have a loyalty program and always strive to earn your business. From the moment you walk into this salon, you feel taken care of! The ambiance is great (and very clean), the receptionist is very professional and on top of things (getting you checked in and out promptly), and the owners are beyond talented! Kelly is fantastic at color and cuts! She is a perfectionist and will have you looking like a model when she is done. Chris is also a perfectionist and does awesome extensions, cuts, and color! I've been to Jeff Kearns twice now. The first time, I wanted a bob.... not only did he take his time and make it absolutely perfect, he made me feel extremely comfortable the whole time. Asked if I wanted a beverage, made sure I had magazines, the whole 9 yards. The second time, I wanted to cut my hair short... AGAIN! Hit it right on the nose, I've had so many compliments about my hair since I had it cut last week. I recently visited Desa and Erin, my great stylist, definitely took my "out of shape" hair and now I am a cover model for GQ (well not really my contract with Mens Health is still in effect). On a serious note... I rarely had my hair cut mainly because it is straight and dense and it was hard to get a cut I liked. I took a leap of faith with Desa and Erin transformed my doo. Desa Salon is the BEST!! I have been going to Kelly for 16 years...and would never go anywhere else. Kelly always listens to EXACTLY what I want and my hair always comes out beautiful no matter what we do!! Desa Salon is the best! Aside from their super cute decor, KELLY TAPIA does the best blonde color and is super skilled with the Brazillian Straightening Treatment. The salon always offers a glass of wine and the stylist are always friendly. Kelly has been doing my hair for years and I wouldn't go anywhere else. Tapia, the owner, cuts my hair and he is the best! I've never had anyone cut my hair the way he does. He is totally focused on what he is doing, not chatting and distracted. When I got home and saw my hair in different lighting the next day, I was honestly shocked. The highlights were extremely stripey, there were harsh lines throughout my hair, and the blend was nothing like what I had asked for. The photos I took at home speak for themselves. I contacted the aubrey immediately and returned the very next day to give her the opportunity to fix it. Unfortunately, even after the correction appointment, my hair still looked unfinished and poorly blended. I wanted so badly to love it, but I left disappointed for a second time. At that point, I decided to seek a second opinion from a completely different salon. When my new stylist sectioned my hair, she showed me the back of my head, and I couldn't believe what I was seeing. There was a harsh line separating my natural color from the lightened hair with very little blending, and the color placement throughout the back was uneven and patchy. She explained that it would require a full color correction to achieve the seamless, lived-in blonde I originally requested. I ended up spending hundreds of additional dollars and another several hours in a salon to have my hair corrected. While I do appreciate that the salon eventually offered me a partial refund, it didn't come close to covering the cost of fixing the work. I'm sharing my experience because I wish I had thoroughly checked the back of my hair before leaving the salon. My advice to future clients is to look at your hair from every angle and in natural lighting before you leave. I truly wanted this experience to end differently, but unfortunately, it fell far below my expectations.

Price transparency is important to me, and at the very end I was charged exactly what I booked. My stylist was Mikayla, and she was incredibly meticulous/detail-oriented. She spent about 4.5 hours perfecting my Full Highlights, and I never felt like she was rushing through any part of the process. During the consultation, I felt heard. Colby really took the time to listen to what I wanted and understood exactly what I was looking for. I wanted to keep my long hair while adding movement and shape, and he absolutely nailed it. My hair finally looks the way I had envisioned. Beyond his talent, he was incredibly kind and thoughtful throughout the appointment. Before I left, he even let me know that if there was anything I'd like adjusted after living with the haircut for a few days, he'd be happy to take care of it. When I brought up my concerns, the owner, I sent her this same video (Emily) explained that this is what the salon considers a partial ROOT highlight touchup. I already had my hair previously bleached . I respect that explanation, but for $240 plus a $50 tip ($290 total), I expected a more noticeable result. She offered to correct it for an additional $50. This might not matter to everyone reading this, but for neurodivergent peeps (and anyone with sensory preferences), I would just say be a little cautious. I've been coming here for about six-ish years, and overall they are fantastic at what they do. Everyone is skilled, and their work in both cuts and color is genuinely good. For my recent appointment, I wanted to go shorter, but keep the front longer because I have sensory issues. I know that if the front pieces are too short, it bothers me a lot. I brought inspo photos to show exactly what I was aiming for--something a little more unconventional, short in the back but still longer in the front so I wouldn't have to style it. During the appointment, my stylist suggested not going too long in the front so it wouldn't feel unbalanced, which I understood. I said that was fine, as long as it was still long enough. But in the end, I was given a pretty traditional, trendy bob. The issue is that my hair naturally curves inward, so now it cups into my face, which is exactly what I was trying to avoid. I also don't style my hair (my stylist knows this--I've been going here for years), so this cut now requires styling for it to sit comfortably, which just doesn't work for me. This haircut was also for my graduation, so it was a really important moment for me, and that added to the disappointment. I do want to say that they refunded me, which I really appreciate--they handled that part well. But I'm still left with a haircut that causes a lot of sensory discomfort, and my only options are to cut it shorter or wait it out. For most people, this might not feel like a big deal. But for someone who is neurodivergent, small things like how hair sits on your face can be overwhelming and affect your day-to-day comfort. If you're looking for something more traditional or trendy, they do great work. But if you're looking for something more unconventional or very specific to your personal needs, just make sure you really advocate for yourself and feel fully aligned before committing. Photos below show the inspiration I brought, how it looked styled the day of, and how it falls naturally a few days later--which is essentially just a standard bob, not the "party in the front, business in the back" I was going for. I promise you, you will not be disappointed. Background: I dyed my own hair blonde from my natural Dark Brown color. Needless to say, I COMPLETELY ruined my hair. I had breakage throughout the top-mid sections & it felt so rough & stringy. I then began cutting my own hair. [I absolutely do not recommend anyone ever doing their own hair.] Usually my hair grows in quickly, but after I have extensively processed & chopped the hair unevenly; my hair wasn't growing as it usually does. Trini to the rescue. I sent him inspirational photos & what my hair currently looked like but agreed to see it physically to decide what we could do about it. I was ok with having to go with a pixie cut or a short bob aline. This morning was my appointment. He was able to keep a lot more hair than I thought. He performed a few techniques & had my hair feeling absolutely soft & new. It's bouncy, it's soft & most importantly perfectly styled. He uses the Oribe line which he loves & recommended a treatment/leave in for me. I had to take it. This will most definitely keep my hair tamed & hydrated until our next appointment. Everyone who works there is friendly, has a smile on their face and shows gratitude. Trinidad is my hair stylist and ever since my first hair cut we had a couple of months ago, I have not been disappointed. For someone busy with fine, straight hair, options are limited , but with Trinidad's artistry, my hair looks full, fun, is beautifully layered and light!
