Honestly, I wasn't expecting to love this place as much as I did, but everything was super fresh and packed with flavor. You can tell they really care about their ingredients. We tried the Green Dreams pizza, the Rabbit (veggie) slice, a Detroit Square, the seasonal salad, the seasonal vegetables, and the garlic knots. The seasonal salad was crisp and refreshing, and the seasonal vegetables were roasted perfectly with this creamy aioli that just brought everything together--such a good combo. The pizzas were absolutely delicious, and my favorite was the Detroit-style pie--crispy edges, cheesy, and just the right amount of sauce. You can really taste the freshness in the dough and toppings. And the garlic knots? Next level--soft, flavorful, and honestly, some of the best I've had. Beyond the food, the vibe inside is cozy and bright, making it a great spot for a quick bite or a casual hangout with friends. The staff is super friendly and welcoming, which makes the whole experience even better. Definitely a must-visit if you're in Evanston--whether you're grabbing a slice or sitting down for a full meal, you won't be disappointed!

Cute place- table and counter seating along the perimeter windows. Sandwiches looked great and the thin crust Raccoon. pizza we ordered delicious. We both agreed that it was one of the best pizza by the slices we have had anywhere. Pepperoni, sausage, caramelized onions , goat cheese topped with hot honey. Staff were pleasant. Will be coming back again when in Evanston.

Pizza flavors are delicious! Stopped in for a late lunch on a Friday afternoon to pick up some pizza slices to go. It was pretty empty in the place. When I first walked into the place, the staff welcomed me with great smiles and vibes. The cashier said the sausage pizza is coming up if I want a fresh slice. I ordered 2 cheese and the 1 fresh sausage. Ultra thin crust is not my favorite style of pizza. I will try other items on the menu next time. Parking: street Parking via parking App. Cheers!

This was their second attempt. The first one had even less.

The quality of this place has gone way downhill. Today I ordered a gf focaccia bread sandwich. The bread was cold and hard and the aioli was supposed to be Italian. It's super annoying Yelp takes down these reviews.

i got a detroit style red sauce slice. really good haven't had a pizza slice like it before. had crispy outside with a hint of garlic on crust. pepperoni was crispy as well. sauce was the best part. clean inside and service was quick. really enjoy the vibe of the place inside as well

Went in for a pizza with gluten free crust. Glad they carried it. They informed me that it would take me 25 mins. So i check in after 25 to ask if there was an update on the time. The guy pulled my ticket out of the stab pile and said it would be 5-10 mins. It was not a rush during that time, but it seemed like they scrambled to tell the kitchen to crank it out. Anyways, the pizza was the driest and hardest thing i'd eaten in a while. Definitely wasn't worth 28 bucks for a small pizza that tasted like it was out of a frozen 5 dollar thin crust. Don't think i'll be coming back

We stopped in for dinner before a NU hoops game and really enjoyed our salad and pizzas! We split the mixed green salad and the portion was perfect as a side salad and there's lots of good stuff in there. The Rabbit slices were served warm and crispy -- the Neopolitan style crust was so good. We had to go back and pick up a cheese slice for good measure. Friendly staff and no nonsense ordering and they bring your food out when it's ready. A nice fast casual atmosphere.

First off, this seasonal salad was delicious. But $17 for a salad that tiny and calling it an entree salad? When I went back in becuase they didn't include my anchovie add-on, I actually asked to confirm that this was in fact the entree size. And this pic was taken before I took a single bite. Wish I'd added something for scale to show just how small the salad container was. If you are familiar with Potbelly salads, I'd say this container was maybe 1/3 smaller than those. And hardly full. So I ended up treating this as an appetizer and getting my entree at Pinto.

Anto Pizza One Bite and It Literally Melts in Your Mouth…read more The seasonal fig pizza at Anto Pizza is one of those dishes where you take the first bite, stop talking for a second, and just think... WOW. Imagine biting into a freshly made, beautifully crispy homemade crust. First you get that satisfying crunch and then everything else begins to melt in your mouth. The figs bring their beautiful natural sweetness, while three types of cheese melt into the crust and blend perfectly with a delicate drizzle of honey. Sweet, salty, creamy, crispy, and warm all in one bite. Honestly, this is one of the best pizzas I have ever eaten. And it's seasonal, so if the fig pizza is on the menu, ORDER IT. You can thank me later. The seafood pasta was another standout. The pasta was cooked perfectly, the seafood tasted wonderfully fresh, and everything came together without overpowering the ingredients. Every forkful was full of flavor, yet still tasted fresh and light. And then there was the calamari delicate, tender, and surrounded by an incredibly light, crispy coating. No heavy, greasy batter. Just that beautiful little crunch followed by tender calamari inside. Dangerous, because you keep reaching for another piece! What I love most about Anto Pizza is that the food has soul. It doesn't taste corporate, standardized, or mass-produced. You can taste the freshness of the ingredients and the care behind the cooking. Everything feels thoughtfully made, allowing the natural flavors of the ingredients to shine. Please don't let fig season end without trying it. This is a pizza you need to experience at least once in your life.

Recently made a destination TAKEOUT trip to Dave's Italian Kitchen in Evanston at its third…read morelocation on Noyes Street. I'd not eaten there since the second location on Chicago Avenue or its premiere address on Davis Street and its sister restaurant "Three Doors Down" in the mid 70's! Yes...I've been acquainted with "Dave's" for a very very loooong time. Everything was ready when I arrived, service was friendly and prompt. Dave himself came out of the kitchen for a brief hello, but since it was Saturday night, they were rocking and rolling BUSY and the restaurant itself was PACKED! This neighborhood restaurant has a quaint cozy intimate atmosphere unlike the previous two...so be forewarned it is small. The 3 entrees I chose...eggplant parmigiana, chicken Marsala and fettuccine carbonara were very much the way I remember them from my youth...and at this writing, they are respectively favorited as listed above. The entrees were shard with my BFF in life and we arrived at the same conclusions. The eggplant was the most delicious and flavorful of all three...which is not to say the others weren't good at all. The eggplant was breaded, marina sauced and had lots of cheese. The chicken Marsala was a close second and we really liked the rich yet subtle wine flavor that Marsala imparted in the rotini noodles. The two chicken breast were moist and so glad each entree had a nice hunk of Italian bread to soak up an adequate amount of Marsala sauce...even though I wished there was MORE sauce LOL. Although third, the fettuccini carbonara was good also. I asked for extra onions, but I don't think they got in. We both agreed the carbonara just needed a touch more salt and pepper...or a saltier prosciutto/bacon...and just more of it. Nonetheless, I'm nit picking and overall everything was satisfyingly good considering the extremely reasonable prices and generous amount of food received. Just sorry I was away for sooooo long.
