Picked up a couple of subs on the way home. Ordered online and it was ready when we arrived. Friendly staff and quick service. The subs are fresh and the meat and cheese are plentiful. Freshly sliced Boar's Head deli meats and nice, soft bread. I had the Hungry Italian and he had the Rio Grand. Both were really good. We'll go back to try others. read more

We stumbled upon this place on a recent visit to Lancaster. As East Coasters, we were blown away by the authenticity of the deli sandwiches. The California Club and Reuben were so delicious, we went back the following day. And the women who worked there are so warm and welcoming! We hope you found the perfume! Last week while I was at work, I was craving a sandwich. My partner mentioned how good the sandwiches are here so stopped by for one. We walked in on duty and I noticed they're supportive of law enforcement by the patch collection and the flag. It appeared that they get good business because they had quite a few customers who were waiting for their orders. When I placed my order, the staff was very nice and friendly. I asked for a particular deli meat that was not on the menu. They didn't have it but the associate was receptive and was very curious about where they could possibly get it from. I ordered the Chipotle Chicken Cheesesteak. It was very flavorful and full of meat. There's a lot of sandwiches on the menu to choose from. I saw the pickle juice benefits and just had to try the pickle shot. It was a very large shot and I wasn't able to finish the whole thing. I love supporting small/local businesses, especially ones with great customer service, so I will definitely be back. read more

Service very good. Friendly staff. Phaton Italian sandwich, to much pepperoncinis. California Club, sweet mustard was to sweet for us. Lucky, I remembered to change the bread to roll otherwise comes on a croissant. We don't like it that way. Pastrami on rye was good. I wish they would go back to basics they're missing the mark. Quality of their food is great! Some sandwiches just have to much flavors fighting each other. Would have been 5 if they weren't so extra. My wife and I have eaten at this deli several times. I ordered the Phantom Italiano sandwich and always orders the roast beef sandwich. The sandwich's were delicious as always. The vegetables were fresh as well as the bread. I recommend eating at this deli, I believe it's the best deli in Lancaster. read more

Very good sandwich I was impressed even though I didn't get to try what I normally wanted to order due to hot sandwiches taking 30 plus minutes but it wasn't their fault they are just super busy, the staff was polite friendly and very apologetic that I had to change up order. The Phantom Italian was perfect and my wife said her club on ciabatta bread was excellent she said over all I will comeback to try the pastrami when they are not as busy. read more

Not impressed. Wait over 30 minutes for a tuna sandwich and Italian type sub can't remember the names, which was just okay. Bread was hard. Sandwiches weren't memorable. Ambiance was a bit dirty when I went around 1ish. May have been left with the lunch crowd. I would not go back there. read more

Desert Deli has been on my list to visit and enjoy. Many people have mentioned it to me as they know that I like sandwiches. A week ago after golf, I found myself on Avenue L with some appetite but not for anything fried and the first thing that came to mind was the deli. I pulled in and ordered an Albacore tuna sandwich. The deli had it in a croissant making it even more light and tasty, and I'll have to tell you that they had me at first bite... I hope I didn't sound cliche-ish with that comment, but they are truly delicious and if I was to make them, that's exactly how I would like it to come out. Their prices were on the high side, but I am hooked on to try a few more options on their menu. My next sandwich awaits a new review and I hope to have an even better experience. Ciao! read more

Had a decent sandwich here, but i can't say it was anything astounding. If heard grand things about this place but it remains to be seen. I do like the little corner shop look. Its very cute and the employees there seemed nice enough and brought our good out to us. Id pop in at least once to try them out if you haven't before. I guess I was expecting an actual deli. With different kinds of bread like sourdough or cranberry wheat...etc and a pickle. But its more like a sandwich shop like different sandwiches on either croissants or french rolls. I ordered a sandwich called an Apache which has roasted chicken, roasted red peppers, lettuce, cheese, and Chipotle mayo. It was ok. Ill give it another try and order another sandwich. read more

Found this local gem because of my CDL class is down the street. The review on yelp were great so I thought I would give it a try. I am so glad I did. The girls behind the counter were really nice and friendly. Had great music playing like Nirvana and System of the Down. The place is clean. I ordered the Phantom Italian without tomatoes. It was delicious. The deli is a Boars Head deli so the meats and cheeses are quality. The sandwich wasn't skimpy, and the bread was really good. Held up to the mayo and dressing really well. I would definitely come back again. Definitely give this place a try. read more

I had to go to the county Tax assessor around lunch time. I saw this deli and figured I'd give it a shot. I'm really glad I did, not only do they serve Boars Head (which is my personal favorite) but they also have some awesome soup and smoothie options. There was not much seating on the inside so I ordered to-go. I had the phantom Italian, and it was amazing. First thing went in today for the first time around lunch time and there's this tall blonde white girl that was running her hands through her hair with her gloves on, and she didn't change them because she started working on the following order with the same gloves. For a sandwich chips and a warm lemonade! FYI, unless you're a recent winner of the lottery, don't go here. Trust me it definitely isn't worth it. Buyer BEWARE of this place.

We both ordered the spicy pink sauce bow tie pasta with chicken and Caesar salad. The pasta was a little bit more spicy than I remembered it but still very delicious. The salad initially looked overdressed but when I tasted it, it was perfectly seasoned. The owner was super friendly and gave us great service. The restaurant is located inside the country club looking over the golf coarse so we had a great view. They did mention they will be looking for another location and moving in the near future. But I loved their food so much, I'll be sure to track them down again the next time I'm in the area. Hope they continue to have the same great menu. I do miss their lemon bars!
