Sub Machine in Lancaster has, in my opinion, the best submarine sandwiches I've ever had. I crave them at times and just HAVE to go. I've been eating here since 1981 and it's amazing they taste the same today as they did 40 years ago. The bread is outstanding and the portions are large. The service is always quick and consistent. I ordered a Kansas City wrap and the tortilla was like leather! I ordered it in a medium size expecting a little more meat inside but got barely any! I asked for pepperoncini's and they put whole pepperoncini's in it, not sliced. Who wants a whole pepperoncini in a wrap? They used to be the best sandwich place in town, but not anymore. Man this place has gone down hill. I used to rave about this place to everyone, now I wouldn't recommend. The last few times I've gone there's close to no meat in my sandwich, practically all bread and veggies. And did they change the bread? Because it's so much thicker and not soft at all. Well, I decided to try the sub machine because I had left church and on a suggestion from two people that I was with that we were going to go there. I can't even tell you a crappy sandwich I had . I had a French dipped sandwich. the Ajou was salty so salty you couldn't even eat it. The bread was dry and nasty and there was barely any meat and a itty-bitty teeny weenie slice of some kind of what they call cheese, but it was hard as a rock. Officially done with this place, certain employee thats incredibly rude and i had already called the owner about this person (African American with dreads)...Gave a second chance and ordered the big ray which is pastrami and roast beef, and this same employee made my sandwhich and gave me turkey instead of pastrami, my guess is on purpose from the previous incident..I was on my lunch break so didnt have time to go back but uve had enough..He needs to be fired!!!
