This will most likely be the only moving service I use in LV. I've used them twice now and both times have been wonderful experiences. I seldomly write review, especially not the bad one. But I really can't get over my feeling of being ripped off and talking advantage I hired desert Movers LV for the move last weekend. Mike the owner was professional explaining the fees and I went ahead and scheduled the move. Everything seem okay 2 guys Robert and Bruce show up at noon. We did a walk through of the house, to go over what needed to be move because I still have a few months at the house to move some smaller stuffs myself. Only the big items. All appliances stay with the house and nothing in the garage. Just the usual household items like beds, mattresses, sofa, coffee/end table, console table, dinette set, desks, TVs ,BBQ grill & patio furnitures, etc. In additional I have about 30 medium size boxes already packed and labeled by the front entrance. While Bruce is double wrapping and taping every piece of furniture in plastic wrap and blanket and Robert is outside in the truck stacking the boxes. After 2 hours into the move. I felt things are going too slow due to the excessive warping. I ask Bruce do they have to wrap everything and he said yes, they were train to do that to avoid any damage. I ask him if I am willing to pay extra to bring in another guy to speed thing up (so I thought) . The 3rd guy arrived at 3pm and still took them 6.5 more hours with 3 guys to complete the move. For a total of 8 and a half hours to completed the move for about 5 miles from the old to the new house. I was charge a total of $1600 for this move. After they remove the plastic and tape, they told me that they do not take garbage ( plastic wrap/tape) with them. So I am stuck with looking a giant ball of plastic wrap in the garage. I had move a few times during the last few years, Not in my dream that I would paid this much. Not even half of that. I have same furnitures and more. Not saying they are not professional, Nothing broken. But just overly excessive packing which is not necessary. I feel bumped and a little angry. Just be aware and I do not recommend them. read more

Desert Movers were fantastic. Asked if they could move my entire downstairs out to some storage units that I have on my RV pad. This was alot of stuff to include fine china, and my whole bar with all its alcohol. Talking to Mike he was upfront with all his pricing. He even suggested hard plastic totes for all the alcohol. Before purchasing, he called me with the cost per tote and informed me of a slight mark up per tote to cover his time and trip to get them at lowes/home depot. I was fine with it since I didn't want to spend my time doing it. Very honest man and very honest company. His workers showed up and worked very hard and diligently to pack up everything. And yes they were very careful wrapping and handling our fine china in the china cabinet. They did not waste any time. The crew for Desert Movers were very meticulous, hard working and fast at their job. I will only say this once, they were the best and they were absolutely NOT LAZY. Three weeks later I rehired them to unload my storage units and replace things where I wanted them. This was all done to facilitate a complete floor replacement. Desert Movers were amazing!! Mike made the booking process worry-free and easy; no payment was required until the entire job was completed. On the day of the move, they arrived early and were well-prepared with equipment, tape and blankets to help us move out of our 3BR apartment. It took them 3.5 hrs to help us finish packing, move out and into our new home (during extreme heat). Our A-team were Brian, George and Frank, all super friendly, considerate and efficient. We actually misplaced our vacuum and baby bathtub and had to awkwardly ask whether they've seen it. Desert Movers responded quickly when I emailed them for a moving quote for a 2 story partially emptied 1650 sq ft. house. They provided me with a couple of choices, and I chose to have 2 guys help me pack and move my items from my old house into storage because our new house wouldn't be available for a couple of weeks. Robert and Reggie showed up on the appointment date at 7:30 am after courtesy calling me 1st. I had done some packing, but they helped me complete our packing as if the items were their own and took great care to gently handle EVERYTHING. They even helped me move a heavy pinball machine which they completely protected with cardboard 1st. They did all of this while wearing painter's booties to protect our floors. It was raining heavily, but that didn't stop them! They told me that they actually needed a 3rd guy to pack the amount of things I had and to help move our pinball machine, but they persevered and made due anyways! When they arrived to our storage facility, they moved everything and stacked all of our belongings so that everything would fit into our storage unit. All along the way, both Robert and Reggie would ask me if I had preferences for certain items or situations that needed special attention. They finished filling our storage unit at 6 pm. I asked it they could drive to my work across town and help me move a couple of heavy items to our storage facility and they didn't flinch and wholeheartedly said yes! They were with me for a total of 12 hours that day and gave the BEST customer service I have ever seen by movers, and all with smiles! Then a couple of weeks later, I requested both Robert and Reggie again with a 3rd guy, Joseph, per their recommendation to move all of our belongings from storage to our new house. That move only took about 5 hours with their 3rd guy who was a nice as them. They also reassembled our bed and dining room table and was supposed to assemble our daughter's new loft bed, but they did not feel confident about anchoring the bed because they didn't have the tools for drilling into the walls so the owner of the company, Mike, called me and volunteered to assemble the bed for me the next day. Mike came right on time the next day and assembled and anchored my daughter's new bed and she was thrilled. The entire crew was awesome to me and my family and gave stellar customer service. All of them went above and beyond and took care of our belongings as if they were their own. I highly recommend them and would give them more stars if I could! read more

Mike Webb sent Andrew and Jose to help me pick up a 3 sectional couch and recliner set from the free section of Facebook. Free. But they were big pieces so I reached out to Desert Movers as they offer an $80 per hour for 2 guys and all the moving supplies. What's awesome is that Mike keeps the costs honest and transparent, so he lets customers rent the vehicles while he supplies the labor and the moving accoutrements such as bubble wrap, etc. Unlike other moving companies who up charge the rental feee of the vehicle. DEVASTATED We moved cross country with 2, 28' trucks. Desert Movers sounded as though they would be a fantastic choice based on reviews. They were aware of our long distance move to North Carolina. Desert Movers was hired to load trucks and and securely wrap furniture. We had packed all 250 of our boxes all they had to do was wrap and pack trucks. I was told to purchase 100 moving blankets which we did for their use. They did not use them all they did not wrap anything that was wrought iron, several antique pieces were no more than bungee corded closed. I can provide photos of everything. They arrived late without the promised number of men. They listed to loud foul music with the "f" word and "n"word while packing. And worst of all, completely failed in their job. The amount of damage was in the tens of thousands of dollars. Many of our items were not even wrapped in the provided blankets and were destroyed no compensation was offered not even an apology or phone call or response to a text. Photos are provided below. Long overdue review. Had an extremely favorable experience when Desert Movers helped unload the largest U-haul truck into my 2nd floor apartment here in Vegas. I found them when searching Yelp while still in Washington state. I was super impressed with the quick response time, price was reasonable and the guys very professional and quick. I like that they had 3 guys on the job, so it didn't take long to complete the work. They were punctual arriving earlier on the agreed upon appointment time. This was 2 households in one truck. After my belongings were unloaded and moved into my place, the movers took the other household items to another home in Las Vegas. I must give kudos to all the staff for doing such a terrific job. Ok. Moved into our new home mid October 2020 and with the moving and holidays, I just got the chance to review! First, this companies communication is excellent! I put out a request for quotes with a few companies and they got back to me quickly and was able to provide an accurate quote. Communication continued up until the move date. Day of move: 3 guys showed up and immediately went to work, when I say immediately I mean literally the moment they stepped out of the truck 2 were picking up boxes while I went over what needs to be moved with the third. Granted we had almost everything loaded into the garage, but I was so impressed with how quickly they moved... I was actually worried I wouldn't be able to get to the new house far enough ahead of them to make sure they had a space to park. One they got to the new house they once again hopped out and went right to work. They protected the doors, stair railing, and floors wonderfully.I had bought donuts and they said said they would love some after they finish. They never stopped to take a break. Michael the owner is very professional and great with communication. Movers are thorough in taking items apart and ensuring proper care and padding is in place. George is a very respectful team leader, and very strong - works very hard. Winston is crazy strong with superhuman strength. Anthony is also strong, very respectful, a hard worker and very efficient. I couldn't recommend a better 3-man team than those gentlemen. Allen is a bit older, works hard but tires out quicker than the rest. He utilizes a dolly often, making him a bit less efficient and he dropped a couple insignificant boxes down my stairs (just paper files in banker boxes). Don't get me wrong, he's still great. I split my move into 2 days, expressed some of my concerns with Michael after the 1st day and he made things right. On the 2nd day, Winston had an emergency and since Michael promised 3 bodies, he showed up himself. Eventually, Allen replaced him, and then he asked me if I wanted Winston and we added a 4th - ended up being a fantastic addition that was well worth it. So here's my update after talking to the owner Mike in Las Vegas who hides his last name and doesn't take credit cards only cash apps (I know why now). First he tries to deny it was his company so I showed him the proof then he offers me a generic paste and copy apology as he has done for some of his other 1 star reviews..I got the same message as the other 1 star customers got. I told him the least he could do was offer me a refund as I got a lot more in damages than what I paid for the labor. He simply read my message and ignored me so messaged again and let him know I'd update in regards to his response but he stopped responding and wouldn't even make an attempt to salvage his reputation for a measly $200 thats the kind of bottom feeder this guy is. He cares NOTHING about your personal property will not take any responsibility and does not care at all how much damage you incur as he will simply ignore you and take your money and run. The other thing is if you click on all reviews you will find many more 1 star reviews you just have to look. Their rating is total BS and full of fake five star reviews. Bottom line: Not even remotely a professional moving company and one that uses kids for the cheap labor and a dead beat owner who does not care how much damage you incur from his employees. Called on Wednesday to check availability for the upcoming weekend, preferably Sat. They were already booked so we scheduled them for Sun at 8am, 2 guys. They showed up right on time, with all necessary equipment (dolly, pads, tape, plastic wrap) AND did not charge extra for those items!!! They are a labor only company de I rented a 26' uhaul for $40 plus mileage. (Total truck was $83 with taxes and mileage) The guys were there from 8am-1pm. Which is about what was estimated. Due to a bed and a desk that needed to be disassembled and then reassembled. To add, went from a 2 story house to a 3 story house. Didn't break anything, nor make any marks at old house. There was a couple slight scratches on the wood floor at new house, but all in all it was a smooth and damage free event. Would recommend and use again in the future. read more

If I could give a 0 rating, I would. Mike, the owner, was very nice and friendly on the phone when booking the move. However, his movers (I hired 3 for $120/hr with a minimum of 3 hours), who he sent to load my 26 foot truck, failed to properly wrap my nice wood furniture with the appropriate blankets to protect them. The same blankets that Mike suggested that I purchase to protect my furniture. His movers did not wrap my nice wood furniture in blankets - only in the clear plastic saran wraps. They left most of the wrapping blankets in the truck still in their bags untouched. This caused extensive damage to my wood furniture. The movers also damaged the tile floors which Mike has still failed to remedy despite promising to do so. If you have nice furniture, don't hire this company. I was trying to help a local business by hiring Desert Movers. I regret that decision now. read more
