Mike had my mother use math calculations to stimulate that part of her brain that needed rehabilitation, after her Stroke, and she loved those activities. He worked on her balance and cognitive skills resulting in improvement. After two severe strokes, resulting in aphasia and cognitive changes, Mike engaged her so successfully. His intuition skill for what a patient needs is remarkable. He is truly the exception in his field and his sincerity and respect for my mom and our family is second to none. I confronted the night nurse about my closed door and why wasn't rounds done during the night to check on patients, her answer was that they give out meds. at certain times, as well as meals and that's when they see patients. So, I said that we have to go by their schedule instead of the other way around- they're supposed to be looking after the residents there as that is their job. I could not believe how backwards her thinking was and leaving the residents in a potentially dangerous situation. Obviously, she, as well as the night staff, either need to be better trained about how to care for residents at their facility, or relieved of their duties. I ended up going to the ER and never returned to that awful place. Addendum: Received a reply from the Director, stating that I was at "The Springs at the Carlotta" not The Carlotta. Very confusing. I apologize but having 2 separate facilities at the same location, with virtually the same name, is very confusing. The above review was meant for The Springs at the Carlotta. I also had a negative experience with the office staff, who came across as just as dismissive. I felt that because I am younger, my concerns were not taken as seriously as they should have been. During my visit, I noticed an odor that concerned me, which added to my discomfort. Overall, this was one of the worst healthcare experiences I've had. The person who called me says the doctor would can call within the hour (3-4pm). Not so much a family emergency when you can call within 30min of my original appointment time (3:30pm). I specifically asked for in person only, NOT a phone call. I find that super suspicious, it seems this doctor does not care or value her patients health/time unless you're on her time. The clinic is clean and we really appreciated the front desk person checking us in for she gave info we never had. Stephanie the nurse is amazing, gentle and skillful. Dr. Mahmodian did a comprehensive review of my husband's treatment thus far and he examined and prescribed important aggressive treatment with a nutritionist (still on gastric tube feedings due to severe dysphagia), physical, speech and occupational therapy, GI specialist as well as labs and diagnostics. We were assisted by the front desk again with rescheduling and info about resources. If you want an enthusiastic, energetic, youthful physician with a gift for caring about you and solving health issues, check them out. We live in the Sun City 55+ community off Washington so it is very close. Reserved parking for our wheelchair was close and the entire experience was fruitful. I was a registered nurse for 50 years and generally don't praise many medical professionals unless they reach my standards and I am super impressed with the service we received from this team.

Even he thought it was fishy that they diagnosed me like this without tests because my symptoms were not even close to what Eisenhower diagnosed me with. I will never go to this hospital again. They will probably charge over a grand to my insurance as well after giving me this false information without any tests. Just goes to show how stupid even doctors can be. They make you wait forever to get in and then just diagnose you with something random without any tests and set you off on your worrisome way and then charge you over a $1,000. What a scam. Unfortunately, the form was at least 3 years out of date so many locations were closed and/or didn't provide X Rays. After driving to several locations that were listed on their form, we eventually decided to go to an urgent care that had an on-site X Ray facility. With some basic administrative staff training and updates, Palm Desert Urgent Care could get up to speed and provide a standard of care that customers expect.
