Cathy the ultrasound tech went above and beyond like I haven't seen in a long time! Especially in the medical field. My doctor submitted the referral in a different way. So I almost was unable to have the ultrasound!!! Thankfully Cathy pushed for me and helped make it happen. Brandy also stepped up talking to my provider on the phone. Desert Radiology has continued to serve my needs since we moved here 6 years ago. My MRI's & 'X-Rays' are 'usually' timely ... almost always anyway. Staff have years of experience. Very sensitive to my needs. Compassionate. I have learned to call each day for an earlier appointment. often someone cancels out. Reception staff are nice, well trained, and work together. X-rays are 'walk-in basis' (I think every day) Tomorrow I am taking my wife (a swollen/painful knee) ... so her doctor may get the results quickly. --- As Seniors with some problems, we appreciate going there. read more

Did my a procedure with Desert Radiologist @2020 Palermo Lane in Las Vegas NV : reception - Clean and orderly first checkin - let Them know reason for your visit , paperwork's to complete ( do it on line ) then they will give you your completed paperwork and you have to wait to be called ( pay for the services kinda expensive with Medicare coverage) after payment , another waiting (15minutes) and procedure will be done . This place is the worst! I would never ever go to any Desert Radiology again! After going through hours and months of them losing a letter over and over that they had sent me. Every time I called it would be an hour of total torture because they kept telling that that letter didn't exist and it would take an hour of them arguing with me to finally find that letter and every time I had to call about that letter, it took an hour of arguing with them that they have that letter and how could they keep losing a letter that they sent me and couldn't find every time I called them...4 different times. I finally asked for a copy of all my records and xrays/films so that could go somewhere else to have rescans done and again that letter couldn't be found so it took another day for someone to find it. After that I took my records to a different place and had my rescans done there. I will never ever go back to Desert again totally incompetent and will argue with the patient and deny you help because they can't find the paper they sent you and continued to do that 3 more times to lose that paper and put the patient through hell 4 different times was a nightmare!!! Oh and one last thing, I paid them $50 when I checked in and they kept sending my bill for that because they couldn't a record of me pay them....i told them to take me to court and then I will show the judge the proof of my payment because this place is completely ignorant and I just couldn't deal with them anymore! I went to the Desert Radiology Center on Palomino Road on August 18, 2024 for an MRI on my right knee. The service itself was fine and professional, but that day they charged me over $600 for the scan. I paid and continued my treatment. By early November when discussing my bills with my insurance they revealed that Desert Radiology had overcharged me by over $550. So I called them the next day and asked them for a refund. The customer service rep admitted that it was wrong and said they would send a check out in the next 40 DAYS( a ridiculous wait time ) So he got my address and I waited. 40 days later, I had received no check and I called them. Turns out they sent it to an address I lived at a year ago. So I corrected them again and they said wait another 40 days. It is now February and at least twice they have sent it out to the wrong address. Either these people are grossly incompetent or negligent, I am not sure which. Again the medical service gave me no cause for complaint but their billing department makes me tell anyone who asks to go somewhere else. read more

Received a message to show up 30 mins early for our Saturday 8:35am appointment, and when we arrive the doors were locked. Online it shows CLOSED. We sat on a bench and 20 mins later they opened at 8:20am. I completed the tedious paperwork online and called three days prior to confirm the MRI is covered by my insurance. We get inside. The individual behind the desk arrives at 8:30am, never acknowledges us, and we are sitting in front of his desk. He proceeds to help another who arrives 15 mins after us. It's been an hour and half , still waiting and the other patient was taken back BEFORE us ! DO NOT USE THIEIR SERVICES! I will never return. read more

Had a referral to have test done here and tried multiple different days and times to make an appointment, but they never picked up the phone. Finally, I drove to the facility and made the appointment in person although the front desk person stated that all appointments should be done by phone before 3:30P. I told her that's not possible if no one answers the phone. I was given an appointment for one week later and was seen promptly with no issues with technician Lisa. I had an appointment for MRI at this location. I have been to their other location and had a 5 star experience there also. From the screening nurse at the entrance to the registration ladies and my MRI tech, kudos to all the wonderful staff here. Facility is very clean, they maintained COVID social distancing guidelines and treated me with utmost courtesy. I am extremely claustrophobic and was very scared to get this procedure done but the MRI tech (couldn't get his name) was so patient and worked with me to get the procedure done without sedation. I was in and out in less than an hour and even got my disc. Thank you Desert Radiology for another great experience! read more

I would start off by complimenting the technician, Kim for her skills, compassion, professionalism and judgement. Her thoroughness ensures accuracy and that what they need to record is actually on the image. I wish this business had more People available to make appointments. It is ridiculous to wait an hour or more on the phone or in person to make an appointment!!! That is just insulting to patients. Yeah, this could have been better. My physician wanted me to get a basic chest x-ray. The doctors office forgot to give me a paper 'referal' to take with me. This paper tells them what to do and the reason for doing it. DR can't and won't do it without this piece of paper. So I had to call the doctor and get that straightened out. Good thing this wasn't an emergency. Computers: Lower your expectations. Now a days just about everything is computerized in medicine. For example, your prescription goes to your pharmacy, the Doc can send the 'Lab' your required lab tests, and the lab results are electronically placed in your electronic medical record. Plus your insurance is verified and billed via the computers. No paper 'referal' is needed because of this helpful computer system. The referral can't get lost and is sent directly and accurately. But, not here. Welcome to Desert Radiology. Appointments?: Not if you need an xray. No appointments are allowed. And, no x-rays on Fridays. The wait for my xray was 1.5 hours and I came at 08:00 am. By the time I left x-ray patients were being told it was 2.5 hours wait. Bring a book to read. I hope you don't have to go back to work. Service: Now the staff are not responsible for the way the company is run. Each and every staff member including the x-ray tech were pleasant and professional. Disappointed: As far as I can tell, the rest of the medical care system is fully computerized and trying to make life easier for patients and referring physicians. Can't imagine being just diagnosed with something and needing additional service or questions answered from this place. What a HUGE disservice to the patients and community. Last time I went to Desert Radiology as a walk-in for an x-ray it was very fast and efficient. Apparently they changed their procedures for wak-in x-rays. They will not take appointments for x-rays. I had to wait over an hour just to get checked in. When I questioned why it took so long I was told it was because I had to wait for everyone else who came in with appointments to get checked in first so that they got in in time for their appt. They check in x-ray only after they are caught up with everybody else. I told the girl that I guess it would be better to go to Steinburg next time. She said "OK". I don't think Desert Radiology wants to bother with x-rays anymore. Not enough profit margin. The x-ray tech was really good and helpful once I got to him. read more

Try to find somewhere else to go! Trying to schedule a mammogram is ridiculous. The wait time is hours...not minutes. It took me 3 tries to finally reach an agent to schedule an appointment 2 months out. Then, they called & left a message saying that my appointment has to be rescheduled, so now I am back to square one! At least this time the music they are playing is a bit more relaxing. After repeated trips to the front desk,I was told all the patients need to be CHECKED IN BEFORE anyone will make me just an appt. So this was my first time visiting this location. I live in Henderson but used in live in Las Vegas and went to the Eastern/DI location. They are massively booked up. I booked my appointment, my knee blew out. I had to wait 6 weeks. I did turn down an 8:15 p.m at the Eastern location but that's not the best area of town and you have a long walk from the MRI location to your car in the parking lot. One thing to know about the Henderson location is park in the back. That is the entrance. I parked up front and had to walk quite a bit to get to the doors. Not easy to do when I'm basically Hopalong Cassidy. The staff gets an A+++++. I barely waited 2 minutes in line when one waved me over and immediately asked if I wanted a wheelchair. I appreciate that. She went and got one for me. Great service. She quickly checked me in and had me fill out a little paperwork. She then wheeled me back into the waiting room. I wasn't there for 5 minutes when the girl came out and called my name. She wheeled me to the back and locked up my things for me. She put me in a room and said someone would come and get me. She was extremely pleasant. Then Jeff came and got me, minutes later, took me to the MRI room. Helped me up on the MRI machine and off we went! He was great about asking if I was okay. I'm a bit of a Nervous Nellie. The MRI was over and he wheeled me to get my things and then out to the parking lot! That's excellent and very caring service!! Everyone was fantastic here! No sourpusses or put upon staff but genuinely friendly, professional and caring. I think it's a good idea to schedule your MRI on Fridays, because on that day they do not do x-rays at all so the crowd is a lot less. Just a tip. I would highly recommend this location. Came in on a saturday for an xray. Came in early because I figured it would be busy on a Saturday. Wasn't too bad actually, was pretty much in and out. Front desk was okay. Maybe it was too early for her, but she didn't seem at al pleasant. She was getting her job done but working with a lot of elderly at least show some enthusiasm. Interesting approach they have. The technician asked me why I was there. I said suspicion of MRSA. She backed away then escorted me out of the building with "I can't be doing anything with you". Apparently diagnosis is not their forté. I'll be sure to let everyone including my service provider know exactly what happened, and that I was never asked "Why are you here?" when they made the appointment, took my copay, while I had a valid referral, and then I was escorted out of the building like a leper. Side note: Yes, your doctor will inform them that you were referred and YES you do have an appointment, but it's on YOU as a PATIENT to schedule your own appointment. To all of the reviews where people got it mixed up, it really is on y'all... Follow your doctor's directions by scheduling YOUR OWN APPT, put up with the wait time when you call (they're ALWAYS busy in office - 40 minutes is nothing to cry about IMO), and SHOW UP when they tell you to for your appt and things will run smoothly for you. It always goes smoothly for my mom because we FOLLOW DIRECTIONS. Don't waste your time here. The patient check in staff were very rude and unorganized. I was advised to arrive 20 minutes prior for no reason, because they ask you to just wait in the lobby. The wait time is long past your scheduled appointment. 70+ minutes with the same rude staff saying wait to be called. Going to have an MRI or CAT Scan is never fun. The technicians are the best of the best. Having to stay still for 30 to 40 minutes is very painful for me. When I couldn't get through the test, because of coughing in the middle f the test the technician took me out of the MRI tube and gave me a much needed glass of water. We had to cancel due to a change in benefit coverage. We spent four days calling Desert Radiology on hold listening to music and never being able to talk to a live person. Yesterday we went to the facility on Horizon Ridge. We waited 20 minutes in lobby to talk to representative. After another 10 minutes we were taken to a room I'm the back where there were 6 people already waiting and 1 person working the computer. After almost an hour I was asked to leave when I complained about the almost non-existent customer service. Desert radiology sent me a bill after my hospital stay which was determined to be a workers compensation claim. Apparently worker's compensation did not pay the bill, and desert radiology never reached out to me to let me know this, and the bill was sent to Plusfour collections. 9 months later I find this out when I try to purchase a car and my credit score has dropped 84 points because of this bill. Very bad billing ethics and poor communication on this company's part. When I called them, they said they are unable to locate my account and that since they are the new billing company, they might not have my records for the next 45 days. At that point they will call me back. Meanwhile, I cannot buy a car with the credit score I now have. Don't come here. Try any of the other two that in less than a one mile radius. The staff is rude and not welcoming at all. I'm here for an ultrasound on my thyroid that could be cancerous, I don't need to be yelled at because I would rather stay in my car or outside. There are a lot of elders in the room and I actually give a damn if I happen to unknowingly am a carrier. I am never like this either. When I made the appointment they told me I could stay in the car. 3x they told me to sit in the lobby. Oh and this was after the same man checking us in yelled at an older couple the directions to the point the woman asked me where because she was frustrated. You can do better with the etiquette. This is absolutely ridiculous! Hours online say they open at 6:00 a.m. However on the door of the facility it states 7:00 a.m. with NO X Rays on FRIDAY! There website should be updated! Especially since X-Rays are on a Walk In basis you do get to make an appointment for X-Rays. I was there for an X-ray on August 9th. My doctor suspects I could have either bronchitis or pneumonia as a result from COVID. It is August 14th and still no results. If someone has pneumonia they need to be treated right away. Waiting indefinitely for results is just not acceptable. A lot of people died from not being treated soon during the pandemia. I am not coming back to this lab and will recommend my medical clinic to use another more efficient lab. Back in January I had an MRI it took longer than six weeks to get results. Don't waste your time here and look for better service. Specially when you are trying to deal with your health! Update: 8/16/23 - My doctor's office called me today to tell me that they received the x-ray result today and that I have pneumonia. Seven days after I took a 5 min x-ray. I told the technician that I was very sick and that I needed the results quick but still they don't care. I have been feeling very crappy and although the worse is over it would have been nice not suffer so much if I would have taken antibiotics (prescribed today) much sooner! I don't know who runs that place but the manager needs to be replaced! I asked them how long the wait and they said 30 minutes. I was really happy with that because 30 minutes is fine with me. I was called in within 30 minutes. Update! I guess the fact a I usually only have to deal with DR once a year it's bearable but again called to order a stat procedure from my doctor. 20+ min hold time. For a stat appointment the soonest they could get me in was almost 3 weeks. But this morning at 1:26am I get a text from their auto text alerting me to the fact that I am in their system for appointment text alerts. It's 130am! That needs to be adjusted asap! Incredibly inconsiderate! Again, have to say all the techs I have dealt with for myself of my son have been absolutely amazing!! The office needs to get it together. Back and forth with this place. I have waited 40+ minutes on hold (to the point I was driving from my PC who wanted a head CT stat and walked in and spoke with someone while still on hold) so for that I give 1 star but the actual technicians are amazing! I have had screening as well as my son has had to have multiple procedures there and they were fantastic. They get 5 stars. I have been calling this Desert Radiology in Henderson to make an appointment for my annual mammogram. But no luck! No answer! I have been coming to this location for over 10 years. It's never been this difficult to get a live person on the phone. So I decided to go to the office myself and make an appointment. Mind you, all I want to do is make an appointment sometime in near future. So I get here and the check-in girl took my driver's license and insurance card? No explanation that I would wait 40 minutes just to make an appointment. So here I am, I've waited over 40 minutes just to get an appointment? WHY? The office is NOT busy at all! They have 5-6 girls working the front? So I asked, I've waited 40 minutes to make an appointment? Why? One rude girl said, they are people ahead of me? My response was "40 minutes ago there was no one ahead of me but now there are people here after me." Again I have repeated myself that I am here to make an appointment. I do not want an appointment today I just wanna make a future appointment. My question was why am I waiting over 40 minutes just to schedule an appointment for another day? When asking how long more they had an ATTITUDE! A manager or someone with authority should train these girls how to PROPERLY explain procedures or let patients know what's to be expected?
